Ronnie was now shaking me awake and informing me that the plane had just landed and we were to disembark. I shook my head, unbuckled my belt and followed Ronnie out and down the stairs to an awaiting limousine. As I got in I could tell that Ethan had softened a little, and was now talking in hushed tones to Mark while Ronnie and I had a conversation all our own.

“Ronnie, I hope we will have time to go skiing because I am looking forward to getting my feet in the snow again. It may take me some time to get used to it but I am sure that I will be able to keep up.”

“I don’t see why we can’t do that. It might be a little difficult for you since you were better on the snowboard so you might need a lesson or two to get started.” She winked at me giving me the impression that she thought Ethan could be of service in this regard.

“Is there anything that Ethan is not good at? If that’s the case then he is really starting to annoy me.”

“There are many things that he is not good at but skiing is not one of them so just enjoy your time together, Em.” Ethan started to walk towards Ronnie and me.

“Em, they tell me that it’s been a while since you’ve put on a pair of skis so seeing that I am quite proficient on the slopes I will be more than happy to show you the ropes.”

“Um, okay, I guess I really don’t have much of a choice.”

Ronnie said, “Don’t worry, you are in good hands with an instructor like him and maybe there is room for additional training?” She looked directly at me with that mischievous glint in her eyes. “It’s not exactly like Ethan’s tutelage will be unwanted and being the talented woman that you are I am sure that you could more than return the favor in some other way, Em.” She was throwing his own words back in his face and alluding to the fact that there was something between us that he wasn’t willing to admit to himself. Although I got the meaning of what she was trying to say, it either went straight over his head or he was just ignoring the obvious implication of what she was saying.

The ski lodge was beautiful. Mountains surrounded the whole village from every angle. Fresh powder had settled on the surface which would make it a perfect teaching ground for me. This place was nothing like any other ski lodge that I had ever been to. It had a sophisticated and highbrow air to it. Its marble floors and pure oak beams on all the walls gave it an elegant and cozy feel.

We checked in and this was when Ethan found out that we would be sharing a room. He didn’t say a word but there was a small smirk that appeared on the corners of his mouth. The first thing that I noticed upon entering was the view of the mountains and then the fact that there was only one king sized bed which took up most of the space. There was also a balcony with a hot tub bubbling, beckoning me in to the swirling surface. There was even a set of stairs on the side that would take us down to the snow-packed trails.

It was close to 9 PM, a perfect time to ski the slopes. The trails were lighted and you could easily see the trail markings so anyone could use it in the middle of the night.

There was a knock on the door. Ronnie and Mark were both up for some after-hours fun in the snow but it took all of us to convince Ethan to take the plunge. Seeing that he was outnumbered, he gave in and we went down to the lobby and rented four pairs of skis and all the accessories that came with it.

We carried the ski gear out and set off to the snow-packed earth. Ethan stood behind me and helped get me on my feet with the two poles securely in my hands. It was obvious from my body language that I felt a bit tense being on skis after such a long time.

“Just slide forward a little but keep your balance with the poles.” I tried to do what he was showing me but kept falling over into the snow. Each time I got up, I was getting increasingly irate and didn’t like that I couldn’t master the sport in just a few minutes.” Emily, don’t get frustrated, just take your time and don’t rush things. This is a process and you have to trust me to get you through it.”

“This is too hard and I’m not sure I’m meant for something like this.”

“It’s all about patience. Soon you will be an expert.” I was determined to master this sport as I had no problem learning it in my childhood. I continued to concentrate and soon I was gliding slowly over the soft powder under my feet. Seeing the jubilation in my eyes made him very proud but the biggest test would be going down a hill. He showed me how to move from side to side and after that we were soon going down the novice trail. I fell only three times but got up to take it on once more. After I fell, Ethan purposely did the same at least twice and exaggerated the falls with comical movements. I had to give him credit for being willing to make a fool of himself in front of me. My progress over the next three hours was amazing and we ended the evening at around midnight with a buffet in the dining room.

I went back into my room at around 2 AM. I instinctively took off all my clothes, leaving on just my underwear and went out onto the deck of the room and into the heated hot tub. While I was relaxing with my head over the side, I suddenly heard an intake of breath and looked over as Ethan sank into the tub across from me. There was a brief moment before he disappeared under the bubbles that I was sure I saw his manhood dipping below the surface and that could mean only one thing. He was completely naked.

“Yes, the water is hot, isn’t it?”

“Umm and it’s about to get even hotter, Em.” He slid towards me, and we were soon facing each other with our mouths mere inches apart.

“Thank you for the ski lesson, Ethan. I had forgotten how much fun I could have in the snow. I was always a summer person and tended to hibernate during the cold season but I really enjoyed skiing again.” Without saying a word he leaned forward, his lips touched mine and we kissed slowly.

My eyes were closed and I heard the water splash and looked up to see that he was gone. It was then I felt a tug below and saw his head under the water and his hands playfully moving my panties to the side.

“Holy fuck.” I screamed in the night air as his tongue explored my body while the hot water played around my tender skin. I moved my hands into the water and caressed his hair. I felt him stabbing in and out of me, making me writhe and twist in the bubbles. “Oh yes, fuck, yessssss.” I was in the middle of a euphoric orgasm that made my toes curl when he resurfaced. He took a few deep breaths as I gazed at him dreamily.

I felt his hand on my legs as he guided them out from underneath me and wrapped them around his waist. I could feel the hardness of him pressing against me and then he pierced my interior. I grabbed him around his neck as he made the water churn into passionate waves. I gritted my teeth as his cock plumbed my depths. I watched his eyes bore into my own and I could swear that I saw something more than friendship there. Our bodies were whirling around one another and I came hard all over his shaft.

“Emily, I love being in the hot tub with you and I love being here with you...oh...god...” The head of his penis expanded inside me and I squeezed around the base to stop the sensation from taking him over the edge. I released my tight grasp and then turned my ass to him. He took the hint and penetrated me more deeply than he had before. He took my hips in his hands and slipped in and out of me so fast that I was sure his body would be just a blur of motion. Between grunts, he whispered, “You are one hot and sexy woman and it’s about time you realize that.” Even if I didn’t see that image of myself, it was really nice to know that he saw the real me shining through.

I never knew that sex could be this good. Ethan was showing me a world that until now had remained just out of reach. His fingers were now around me and they stroked my love button which made me cum all over him. He shared that feeling with one last thrust and he was left panting and exhausted.

We climbed out, dried off and went to the bed. His arms held my naked body closely. “Emily, you really need to give yourself more credit. You just have no idea, do you?” I wanted to believe what he had said and part of me did because that was how Ethan made me feel. We fell asleep in each other’s arms but when I awoke I found that he had left the room without me.

I got out of bed, got dressed and joined them in the dining room for breakfast. Ethan looked a lot more relaxed now and he spoke first, “I’m going into town for an hour or so before supper. I was hoping that you would join me, Emily.” His invitation took me by surprise but I accepted it anyway, leaving Ronnie and Mark to fend for themselves.

We went into town and eventually found this adorable antique store that was tucked away behind the shops on the main street. It had many unusual items that were one-of-a-kind, all of which were stunningly beautiful. There was this one heart-shaped locket made of pure silver that caught my eyes almost immediately when I walked through the door. The intricate patterns etched on the surface showed me that the maker took pride in his or her work and that was rare this day and age. Seeing the price tag, I turned away knowing that I didn’t have the money to purchase such an extravagant item. While I was browsing around the store, I lost sight of Ethan for a few minutes and then he was back beside me where he belonged. I didn’t have the heart to take a second look at that special locket and we walked out of there without buying anything. Maybe before we left I could ask my credit card company to up my limit and I could afford to come back here and get that little piece of treasure.

We visited a few of the other shops along the main street but none of their items compared to the pieces that were displayed in that jewel of an antique store. As the time was drawing closer for us to meet with Ronnie and Mark, we decided to take a leisurely stroll back to the chalet.

We found Ronnie and Mark ready to dine at a table in the corner. I chose the Caesar salad with a light dressing to start and the poached salmon with dill sauce for the main course. The three of them ordered the filet mignon with all the trimmings and we all agreed on a bottle of red wine to go with the meal. We chatted to each other about what we had done during the day and I mentioned the locket that I was going to go back for before we left.

“Um, I was hoping that I would have more time to do this but since you’re going to go back anyway, I guess this is a good a time as any.” He definitely had my attention and I was shocked when he pulled out the locket and placed it on the table. The silver shone under the lights and I put my hand over my mouth in surprise. I couldn’t believe that he had done this. “I saw you looking at it and knew from your expression that it was something you would like to have. I snuck over and bought it before you realized anything was going on.”

“You sneaky devil. I had no idea about this but I am so glad that you did it. Thank you, I absolutely love it!” I threw my hands around his neck and pulled him for a kiss that left him breathless and unable to utter a single word. I reluctantly pulled away from him after a few seconds. It was the first time that Ronnie and Mark had seen that level of intimacy between us.

Mark and Ronnie were both smiling and Ronnie said, “Ooouu, a heart locket. Umm, maybe it’s about time that you showed her how you really feel, Ethan.”

Mark could not resist Ronnie’s remark and added, “You two make a beautiful couple and now we really have something to celebrate.”

“Wait, we aren’t together, I am just her friend and...and...nothing more. This was just a gift to a friend and there is no hidden meaning of anything more than just friendship. Friends give each other friendly gifts.” I think he was scrambling to explain the reason for the gift and was now back peddling so fast that he was leaving skid marks in his wake.

Ronnie continued to tease, “That was certainly heavy usage of the word friends, Ethan. Don’t you think so, Mark?” Mark nodded in approval while looking at Ethan with a smirk on his face. “I am starting to believe that these two are only just FRIENDS. Don’t you think so, Mark?” Again Mark nodded in approval while looking at Ethan with a smirk on his face. “But I am having trouble understanding how FRIENDS could make each other glow like that. Don’t you think so, Mark, darling?” Yet again Mark nodded at Ethan with a wider smirk on his face. Ronnie was being sarcastic of course and Ethan knew that he would not win this one. He excused himself from the table saying that he had a headache and wanted to rest in the room. As he walked away from the table Ronnie shouted, “Don’t worry, Ethan, your
FRIEND
, Emily, will be up soon to make sure that you are okay!” We all giggled as Ethan disappeared through the doorway. Ronnie, Mark and I continued to chat over the last bit of wine.
