Mr. Ware couldn’t help but walk in and say something. “Son, did I just hear that you’re in remission?” he bluntly asked.

Tory was stunned to even know that he’d been standing there. “Wow, sir. I didn’t mean for you to hear that.” He admitted.

“Tell me what’s going on,” Mr. Ware said feeling remorseful for his soon to be son-n-law.

“I was diagnosed with testicular cancer about a year and a half ago.”

“Son, I’m sorry to hear that,” Mr. Ware said. “Does Bianca know?”

“No sir and I hope you respect my decision, but I’m not going to tell her.” Mr. Ware didn’t say a word. He wanted to hear him out. “I’d been one of those men that just ran the streets, had beautiful women, lots of cash to blow,” he said. “But, I had no choice but to slow down one day and take it all in. Here I was a thirty-four year old man and had never had any kids and couldn’t settle down because I’d not found the one that would hold my attention. Then one day, I go to the doctor because of a small lump that I’d felt in my testicle. That’s when I found out what I had.”

“Son, I wish you would’ve spoken to me about this,” Mr. Ware said wanting him to feel comfortable talking to him.

“There was no need. After getting the proper treatment I found out in November of last year that I was in remission.”

“That’s good news.” Mr. Ware said, but don’t you think your soon to be wife should know about it.

“No sir.” He sincerely said. “After going through exhausting treatments and dealing with overwhelming lonely thoughts; I wanted to get it together. I prayed that if I got through this that I was going to settle down and make someone a great husband. I also prayed for the perfect wife for me.” Mr. Ware nodded, respecting a God fearing man.

“The first day I met your daughter was in Olive Garden. That was the same day that I got the call from my doctor that I was in remission. When I saw her that day I said that she was gonna be my wife. She didn’t even wanna know my name and wouldn’t take my number.” He grinned. “Then we kept running into each other until we had no choice but to talk. It’s been a blessing since. I was told that I’d never have children but now I have five.”

“Yeah, you do,” Mr. Ware agreed with a smile.

“I’ve always wanted a big family and now I have one. I’ve loved your daughter since the first day I met her and I felt that she was God sent. I was coming out of a rough time and she looked like she needed a hand coming out of one, too. All I wanted to do was be there for her and put a smile back on her face.” He smiled just thinking about her. “And I wanna keep it there. That’s why I don’t want to tell her.”

Mr. Ware thought about it and he understood where Tory was coming from. Why worry Bianca if there was no reason, too. She was happy and that’s all he ever wanted for his daughter.

“Your secret is safe with me,” Mr. Ware said then hugged him. He’d been blessed with another genuine son-n-law and it made him happy. Finally, the roster consisted of sons and daughters.

Lauren tapped on the door to the dressing room where Bianca was at. “Come on in,” Mrs. Ware said as she and Janay made sure that Bianca was ready.

Lauren walked in as Bianca’s face lit up. “Finally,” she screamed.

“Oh my God, you look GORGEOUS!” Lauren said causing Bianca to smile from ear to ear.

“I’m so glad you’re here. I couldn’t have done this without at least two y’all. I’m already heartbroken that Kita and Kerry ain’t here, but I guess we’ll have lots of leftovers,” she teased trying to smile about it.

“Oh, no you won’t,” ShaKita said stepping into the room causing Janay and Mrs. Ware to smile really big.

Bianca’s face lit up then she cried as Kerry walked in behind her. “Y’all came,” she said with tears of joy running down her face. “And y’all are messing up my make-up.” They laughed.

“Yes, we’re here and you’re beautiful,” Kerry said giving her a hug. “I’m sorry,” she whispered.

“Me too,” Bianca whispered back.

“My God, I love that dress!” ShaKita said.

Bianca smiled. “Thank y’all so much for showing up in your Bridesmaid’s dresses. This has totally made my day. This is by far the best day of my life,” she said.

ShaKita handed her a gift bag. Bianca frowned. “What is this?” she asked.

“Just look in it,” ShaKita responded.

Bianca reached in the bag and one by one she pulled out some handcuffs, edible panties, whips, lubrication, and a pussy pump.”

“My gosh, Kita,” Mrs. Ware called out shaking her head. “We’re in the church.” The girls laughed.

“I’m just making sure that she has a great night tonight.” ShaKita responded.

“Y’all come on with your freaky selves,” Mrs. Ware said with a smile as she started out the room.

“I want me one of those gift bags,” Kerry mumbled.

“Me, too,” Lauren added.

Janay laughed. “All of y’all are some ratchet bitches,” she whispered.

“Oooh, Mom did you hear Janay?” ShaKita playfully asked.

Bianca smiled and took one last look at herself in the mirror then turned to leave the room. It was time for her to make her grand entrance down the aisle.

She beamed with joy looking at her family and the handsome man with the gorgeous smile that was waiting on her hand in marriage. He stood there looking debonair and sexy enough to eat as she smiled thinking to herself.

I pray that this last forever.
