Capo looked over at Moose. “What you think?”

“I say we kill both of these bitches and get up outta here.” Moose answered honestly. Capo looked over at the woman and felt sorry for her. “Tell you what” Capo said placing his gun back in his waistband. “Here’s my number, call me in 48 hours and you better be ready to work!” He told her as he scribbled his number down on a piece of paper and handed it to her. “And baby girl” he said looking in Shekia’s eyes, “please don’t try and contact the police. If you do, I promise you will regret it” Capo said with a smirk as he and Moose exited the apartment leaving Shekia with a decision to make. Capo just hoped she chose the right one.

“I don’t know why you didn’t just kill that bitch” Moose said when the two made it downstairs. “What if she goes to the cops?”

Relax” Capo said nonchalantly. “Half the cops in New York city are under Wayne’s pay roll, you worry too much.” Capo shook his head as he hopped back in his Benz and left the scene.

***

Wayne sat in his mansion talking to his lawyer Mr. Goldberg. From the look on Wayne’s face Mr. Goldberg knew that the man didn’t like what he was telling him.

Listen.” Wayne stated, plainly as he poured himself a glass of wine. “I don’t give a fuck about none of that shit you just told me. Bottom line is, I have lots of money that I need cleaned” he paused, “and it’s your job to clean it.”

I understand that Wayne, but the problem is you have too much money!” Mr. Goldberg told him. “Now if you want me to clean it I’m going to have to charge you more. This is not an easy job.”

Wayne knew that Mr. Goldberg worked hard for him and his crew. He also knew the Jewish man wasn’t dumb enough to try and cross him. So he decided to pay the extra. “If I ever go broke, you’re the first person I’m coming to, to borrow some money.” Wayne laughed as he saw Capo and Moose walking down the long hallway heading towards him.

Lets wrap this up” Wayne said as he and Mr. Goldberg shook hands.

Call me tomorrow.”

Will do” Mr. Goldberg said as he stood up and made his exit.

Yo” Capo said stopping Mr. Goldberg in the hallway. “I appreciate how you got my girl off the hook when they kicked in her door last month.”

Don’t mention it” Mr. Goldberg said patting Capo on the back as he continued for the exit. He was one of the best lawyers in New York.

Whatever it took to get the job done, Mr. Goldberg had no problem doing, even if it meant going under the table to get a job done.

I hope you got good news for me” Wayne said, as he watched Capo and Moose help themselves to a seat.

Yes and no” Capo answered. Immediately When Wayne heard Capo say yes and no he knew he had did some wild shit. “What you mean yes and no? It’s either yes or no” Wayne said.

Max didn’t have the money so I killed him” Capo said. “But his girl and her mother was there.”

And?” Wayne asked looking at Capo.

And I let them live” Capo said putting his hands up in the air. “Hold on let me explain” he said knowing he had fucked up. “The bitch said she was willing to work off Max’s debt, so I figured we could use her to make those out of town trips for us.”

And what happens if she goes the police?” Wayne asked.

Fuck the police!” Capo countered. “We got the NYPD in our pocket!”

We got em in our pocket but that shit cost money Capo” Wayne huffed. “Next time just kill everybody!” Wayne knew Capo was a loose cannon, but the young man was a beast when it came to laying somebody down, so he gave him chance after chance. Not to mention he knew Capo from when he was a little shorty. “You keep on acting up and Imma have to get somebody to replace you” Wayne told him.

Capo laughed, as he waved him off. “Can’t nobody do my job, that’s why it’s my job!”

Well if you want to keep your job then you better act like you need it!”

Wayne said seriously. He loved Capo like a son but he didn’t love him

enough to risk his freedom.

I got everything under control” Capo said confidently.

We’ll see” Wayne said pouring himself another drink. He was going to give Capo one last job just to see if could handle it responsibly. If not he would have to find something else for the man to do. “Listen up” He said. “I need you to go down to Ms. Gina’s restaurant tomorrow and pick up what she got for me.”

I got you” Capo replied.

And do it quietly please” Wayne reminded him.

Stop worrying so much” Capo said as he and Moose got up and made

their exit.

CHAPTER 2

Shekia relocated over to her aunt’s house in hopes that the men who had killed Max wouldn’t find her. She didn’t know the men who murdered Max, but had seen them around all the time. Shekia thought about just saying fuck it and going to the police, but being from the hood that no snitching mentality was in her veins. Shekia took the time to weigh her options. It was either do what she told them she was going to do or either go to the cops and pay the price if they ever caught her.

Fuck it” she said as he pulled out her cell phone and dialed the number that Capo had written down on the small piece of paper. On the fifth ring some one finally answered. “Who’s this?”

Hey this is Shekia” she said nervously. “I’m trying to reach Capo.”

Shekia who?” Capo asked suspiciously thinking it was a new girl he had met and forgot her name.

I’m the girl from the other night” Shekia told him. “You shot my boyfriend Max remember?”

Oh yeah” Capo suddently remembered. “What’s good? You ready to get to work?”

Yes, I want to get this over with as soon as possible” Shekia said.

A’ight bet. I’m about to text you the address to meet me at nine o’clock tonight, and you better be there.” Capo said, hanging up in Shekia’s ear.

Once he hung up, he immediately texted her the address to the location she was to meet him at later, as he pulled up in front of Ms. Gina’s restaurant.

Capo hopped out his Benz with no shirt on, his pants shagging, two chains around his neck, and a bottle of Rosay in his hand. He quickly slipped his .380 in his pocket as he entered the restaurant. “Damn it feels good in here” Capo huffed as he felt the cool air from the air conditioner hit his body as soon as he stepped foot in the restaurant.

Excuse me sir” a waiter said politely as he walked up to Capo.

What’s up?” Capo asked as he turned up the bottle and took a long sip.

Umm you can’t come in here with alcohol and you have to have a shirt on if you would like to get served” the waiter told him.

Listen,” Capo said looking at the waiter, as the thought of smacking the shit out of him crossed his mind. “Go tell Ms. Gina that somebody is here to see her.” He said taking another sip from his bottle. “And tell her don’t have me waiting all day either.”

Five minutes later Ms. Gina came down stairs with a frown on her face. “The next time you come into my place of business make sure you have a shirt on!” Ms. Gina said sternly as she escorted Capo upstairs to her office.

Once the two got inside Ms. Gina slammed the door. “I’m going to call Wayne as soon you leave” she yelled. “I refuse to continue to give my hard earned money to you people!”

Fuck you mean you people?” Capo asked feeling offended.

I’m a classy woman, and I expect to do business with someone with at least a little bit of class!” She said looking Capo up and down with a disgusted look on her face. Ms. Gina couldn’t stand Capo everytime he came to the restaurant. It was always something and she was sick of it.

Just give me what you got for me so I can be on my way” Capo said with an attitude. Ms. Gina sucked her teeth as she opened up her safe and roughly placed the brown paper bag in his hand.

Do I have to count this?” Capo asked with a smirk on his face.

Fuck you!” Ms. Gina cursed as she watched Capo exit her office.

Before he was even fully out of her office, Ms. Gina was already on the phone with Wayne.

When Capo left Ms. Gina’s restaurant, he headed straight downtown to go pick up one his shooters. Bone was an ignorant loud talking young man with a happy trigger finger. Whenever Bone got around Capo he would always like to show off in front of Capo to prove he was the real deal, and down for whatever. Bone looked up to Capo and at times tried to be just like him. All of the young gansters wanted to be like Capo.

Capo pulled up to the corner that he owned and hopped out the Benz. “What’s good out here?” He asked giving each man dap.

Ain’t shit” Bone replied. “Chasing this paper as usual” he said looking over both shoulders for any trace of cops.

“I’m about to go get some haze, come take a ride with me” Capo said hopping back in his Benz. Once Bone hopped in, Capo pulled off. “I really needed to holla at you, and I didn’t want the rest of them niggaz to hear” Capo said slowing down for the yellow light. “How’s everything been going on the block?”

“Everythings been good.” Bone answered. “I’ve been keeping everybody in line.”

”That’s what I like to hear” Capo smiled. “You keep up the good work, and I might think about promoting you.”

”You already know” Bone said as he noticed Capo pull over.

”Yo, wait right here I’ll be right back” Capo said as he hopped the car and disappeared inside the building that he had parked in front of.

Inside the building Capo took the steps to the second floor. He came out the staircase and knocked on the door closest to the elevator. Seconds later a tall ugly brother answered the door. “What’s up Capo?”

”Nigga get the fuck out my way that’s what’s up” Capo said looking at the ugly man like he was crazy.

My bad Capo” Ugly apologized.

”Lemme get two ounces before I have to crack your head open in here,” Capo said shaking his head while he counted out his money.

Ugly quickly went to the back room and returned two minutes later. “You need me to weigh it for you?”

”Nah just gimme that shit so I can get up outta here” Capo said snatching the two ounces, and stuffing them in his draws as he exited the apartment.

”Bitch ass nigga” Ugly said once Capo had left. He couldn’t stand Capo, but he just stayed quiet to avoid unnecessary problems with the man.

Capo got back downstairs, and hopped back in his Benz. “I’mma need you to put in some work real quick” he said looking over at Bone.

”What’s the word?” Bone asked ready for whatever.

”I need you to go upstairs and rob that ugly ass clown that sells the bud” Capo told him. “Just bring me the weed and you can keep the money.”

”Say no more” Bone said as he slid out the passenger seat, and entered the building. Ugly sat on the couch watching sportscenter when he heard a knock at the door. He got up, walked over to the door, and looked through the peep hole. Ugly saw Bone standing on the other side and immediately opened the door.

”Yo did Capo just come up here?” Bone asked.

”Yeah you just missed him” Ugly answered.

”Fuck it just let me get an ounce since I’m already here” Bone said as he stepped inside and started counting some money. Once he saw Ugly go to the back room to go get the weed, Bone quickly put his money back in his pocket, and pulled out his .38.

”You need me to weigh it for you?” Ugly asked as he returned to the living room only to find Bone pointing a gun in his face. “You already know what this is” Bone said roughly grabbing Ugly by his collar, and forcing him back into the back room. “I’m only asking this once” Bone turning Ugly around so the two men were facing. “Put everything in that bag right there” he said nodding to the empty bag that lay on the floor. Bone watched as Ugly stuffed about nine pounds of haze in the bag, followed by a few stacks of money.

”Here this all I got” Ugly said handing Bone the bag. Bone snatched the bag from his hand, then turned and shot Ugly in the leg. When Bone returned back down stairs, he just smiled at Capo as he hopped back in the Benz.
