”Not a problem” Angela replied never looking up from what she was doing. Ten minutes later Tank pulled up in the club’s parking lot and parked over in the reserved parking spot.

Damn this bitch is packed” Tank said out loud as the trio hopped out the truck and headed towards the entrance. At the front door a big bouncer Wayne hired from time to time stood looking like he couldn’t wait for somebody to act up.

”Yo Rodney, what up?” Wayne said giving the big man some dap. As soon as Rodney saw Wayne he already knew what time it was he immediately pulled back the rope and allowed the trio to enter the club without being charged or frisked. The trio walked in the club and was immediately treated like royalty. The owner of the club, along with a bouncer escorted the trio to a table. “Let me get a few bottles over here” Wayne ordered as he bobbed his head to the beat that pounded through the speaker. “This is the life right here” Wayne said looking around the club at the other party goers enjoy themselves. “I work so hard that sometimes I just have to treat myself” He said out loud to no one in particular.

Angela just sat quietly and listened to the music as Wayne and Tank were over trying to talk to a few women over in the corner. Angela sat babysitting a drink when she felt some one tap her on her shoulder.

Is this seat taken?” A handsome light skinned man asked nodding at the empty seat next to Angela. Angela looked up at the man and immediately was impressed with his looks. “No nobody is sitting there” She replied.

”I saw you sitting over here all by yourself so I thought you could use some company” the handsome man said extending his hand. “My name is James” he paused. “James Carter.”

”It’s nice to meet you Mr. James Carter” Angela giggled like a child. It’s been a while since she heard someone introduce themselves giving their first and last name.

”So what brings you out to this club tonight?” James asked as he took a sip from his drink. Angela shrugged. “I didn’t have anything else to do, so I just decided to come here to get out the house, how about yourself?”

”Well” James began. “I’m always at work, and this weekend is the last one I have for a while, so I said why not come out and get a drink.”

”I feel you” Angela said. “So what do you do for a living?” James took a sip from his drink before he replied. “I’m a federal agent.”

A federal agent?” Angela echoed. “You mean like the F.B.I?” She asked just trying to make sure she wasn’t hearing things.

James chuckled. “Yes is something wrong with that?”

”So you’re telling me” Angela said as she turned and faced James. “You work for the F.E.D.S?”

”Yes” James said as he flashed his badge. “I’m one of the top agents in the world” he told her. “You never told me your name” he suddenly remembered.

”My name is not important” Angela said as she got up and walked away. She didn’t get far before she felt James grab her by her wrist.

What’s the matter?” James asked. “You don’t like cops or something?”

”I hate cops” Angela spat. “All they do is put black men in jail, when in all reality they are the biggest criminals.”

”You are absolutely right” James said. “But I’m not like that, I only take on the big cases and take down people I know for a fact are no good.”

”That’s what they all say” Angela huffed as she tried to jerk her hand loose.

”Wait” James said as he dug down in his pocket and removed his card and handed it to Angela. “I’m getting ready leave. Promise me you will call me tonight.”

Angela looked at James like he was crazy, but she couldn’t deny the fact that he was fine. Talking to James went against everything Angela stood for. She was trained how to survive, change her identity if need be, but talking to James would be a big risk. He was the enemy and she knew it. “Okay I promise I’ll call you tonight.”

”Thanks” James said flashing his million dollar smile. “Now what is your name?”

”Angie” Angela said saying the first name that came to her mind. James smiled. “I’m going to be waiting for your call later on” he said as he walked off and disappeared through the crowd.

Angela looked down at James Carter’s card and smiled as she slid it inside her pocket. “I’ll just use him for some sex then cut him loose.” Angela thought as she went over to where Wayne sat, and sat next to him.

”Where you been I was looking for you?” Wayne asked as soon as Angela sat down.

”Over there by the bathroom some clown was trying to holla at me.” Angela said nonchalantly trying to down play how she felt. Ever since he had left James face was stuck in her brain. Angela liked him, but she knew that nothing serious would or could come out of it cause of what he did for a living. As Angela sat bobbing her head to the music she noticed five Spanish men heading in their direction, each of the five men eyes were locked on Wayne. Angela glanced over at Wayne and saw that he and Tank was laughing both off guard. Angela smoothly slid her .380 out of its holster and rested it on her lap as she continued to watch the five men approach. Once the men got close enough Angela quickly stomped the leg of Wayne’s chair causing him to fall out his seat and out of harms way. Angela swiftly lifted her arms and fired three shots in rapid secession. “PST, PST, PST” the three bullets found a home in three of the gunmens heads, before Angela could take out the other two gun men they had all ready pulled out automatic weapons and began shooting the place up. She quickly ducked down and took cover as other party goers who stood next to her and Wayne dropped like flies. Angela aimed her .380 at one of the gunmen legs as she lay under the table and sent a bullet in each one of his knee caps. Once the gunman dropped and was in Angela’s view she quickly pulled the trigger putting a bullet in his head ending the man’s career. “Come on we have to go!” Angela yelled as she got up and helped Wayne get to his feet. The two jogged towards the exit blending in with the rest of the crowd who tried to kill one another to get out of harms way. Angela looked over her shoulder and saw Tank and the last gunman having a shootout as she and Wayne squeezed out the side exit door.

Don’t run, walk calmly” Angela instructed as she held on to Wayne’s arm with one hand while her other hand rested on the handle of her .380 until the two made it their vehicle. Wayne hopped behind the wheel and stormed out of the parking lot. “Sammy has got to go!” Wayne yelled. He was tired of looking over his shoulders every five minutes, so now it was time to eliminate all of his competitors and enemies. “I want him gone first thing tomorrow!” Wayne fumed.

”No problem” Angela replied as she removed the clip from her .380 and replaced it with a fresh one.

”Thanks for holding me down back there” Wayne said glancing over at Angela. “Shit you really are The Teflon Queen” he chuckled meaning every word.

It’s the least I could do” Angela replied with a smile even though she was talking to Wayne, her mind was still on James. Angela was always so focused on her jobs that she really didn’t have time for men nor did she have time to have a man in her life. The conversation she had with James was a well needed one, Angela couldn’t remember the last time she just had a regular conversation with a man about something other than business.

”What you over there thinking about?” Wayne asked noticing that Angela was staring out into space.

”Just a little tired” she lied and placed a fake smile on her face. Wayne pulled up in his driveway and let the engine die. “You can spend the night here if you like. I have plenty of room if you don’t feel like driving anywhere at this time of night” Wayne offered.

”No that’s okay” Angela said politely. “I have to get prepared. I got a big day ahead of me tomorrow” she said as she shook Wayne’s hand, and quickly slid in her Lambo and peeled off.

CHAPTER 8

Now that Capo was all on his own and calling his own shots, his bank account doubled in less then a month’s time. The only problem he was having was all of these new fake wanna be hustlers calling themselves trying to compete with him and his organization. Capo cruised around in his Benz with two chains around his neck and no shirt on his back. He cruised around local hoods with Moose in the passenger seat hoping they saw any of the competition out on the streets.

I wish I would catch a nigga out on one of our corners” Moose said exhaling weed smoke through his nose.

”I been hearing niggaz been out here trying to steal our clientel” Capo said taking the blunt from Moose.

”Yeah me and Bone ran down on a few of them clowns so we shouldn’t be seeing too many of them clowns out here no more” Moose said confidently. The problem was that when Bone put in work he usually went overboard and that was bringing down more and more heat on Capo’s operation.

”Our major problem is all this heat that’s been coming down on us.” Capo said peeking through his rearview mirror making sure they weren’t being followed. Something he always did when he was behind the wheel. “We have to come up with a way to do this shit a little more quietly” Capo said finally realizing what Wayne had been trying to tell him all along.

”So what do you suggest we do?” Moose asked.

”Let’s just get this money and enjoy it” Capo replied. “I don’t want nobody’s head getting busted unless it just has to be done.” Just as those words left Capo’s mouth he cruised down the street he saw two young hustlers standing on a corner hustling. From the look of the two kids they couldn’t have been any older then sixteen, maybe seventeen.

Look at these two chumps” Capo said out loud as he slowed the Benz down stopping right in front of the two teenagers. He rolled down his window and immediately one of the kids walked up to his window.

I got what you need just tell me how you want it” the kid said with a hustlers tongue.

”Nigga, does it look like I use drugs?” Capo said with a smirk on his face. “Who ya’ll out here working for?”

”Crazy Moe” the young hustler replied.

How old are you?” Capo asked.

How old are you?” The young hustler shot back. Capo just smiled as he pulled out his .45 and shot the young hustler in his leg. The other young man tried to take off running but a bullet to the back of his thigh quickly stopped that thought as he hit the ground. “Yall lil niggaz better stay the fuck off my corners!” Capo yelled as he pulled off. “Lil niggaz got a lot of balls” he shook his head as he hopped on the FDR drive highway. “How everything else been moving?”

Good” Moose replied. “Niggaz really been feeling this new work we got from Scarface. I don’t know where he getting his shit from but all I know is, his shit is straight uncut.”

As much money as we paying for that shit it better be uncut” Capo said, as he pulled up to one of his stash houses. Now that Capo was on his own and making so much money he knew soon he was going to have to beef up his security being as though he couldn’t be in twenty different places at one time.

Capo and Moose reached the door and did the special knock. Seconds later Kim answered the door. “What’s up y’all?” She asked stepping to the side so the two could enter. Kim quickly went back behind the table where she sat counting and placing rubberbands over each stack of money she counted.

How shit been looking?” Capo asked looking around.

Everything’s been good” Kim answered not bothering to look up from what she was doing. “This new shit got these motherfuckers going crazy” she added.

That’s what I like to hear” Capo said reading a text message that just came through his phone. “How much longer you got to go?” He asked looking over at Kim who was just placing the last rubberband on a neat stack of money. “All done, why what’s up?” Kim asked as she stood up and stretched. She knew whatever Capo had to tell her it had something to do with some money. She knew that look anywhere.

I just got the drop on a stash house” Capo announced sliding his phone back in it’s case that hung on his waist.

Let’s go get that money” Moose said as the trio exited the stash crib.

Once everyone was in the car Capo quickly pulled away from the curb.

What’s up with this Crazy Moe nigga I keep hearing about?” Kim asked from the back seat.

What you been hearing?” Capo asked keeping his eyes on the road.

I heard he some new nigga that just came out of nowhere and started opening shop” Kim replied.

What this nigga look like?” Capo asked eyeing her through the rearview mirror.

Nah, just heard he been on this real takeover shit” Kim said. “And I heard he rolling with a team of killers. I mean I hear these niggaz putting it in in broad daylight and all that.”
