‘I’ve never ever seen them perform live together. Look at them. They’re amazing. My wife is amazing,’ Jake said proudly as the twins got up and started dancing in the middle of the room. Richard couldn’t say a word; the immense swelling of pride stopping him from speaking and covering up the pain that he was feeling from the surgery. It was only when the sisters finished singing and hugged each other on stage before giving in to the crowd’s chants for another song that he was able to speak.

‘They fixed it.’

Now, before I go any further, mum, I’m putting this in black and white. No, this book is not about you and no you’re not in it. But seriously, mum and dad thank you for everything and for always being supportive of my dreams and for giving me all of your library cards when I was younger.

Gaynor and Lavinia. Yes, you two. You’re both priceless and I honestly have no idea where I would be without your continued encouragement.
