"Why are you taking it slowly with Leti?"

Air rushed out of Jaxon's lungs. He asked himself that same question a million times already. Leticia seemed receptive to take their relationship to the next step but Jaxon was the one hesitating. "I don't want to fuck things up with her. Leti's great..."

"I get it" Marco interjected. Jaxon was stumbling all over the place with his thoughts and words. Marco didn't want to distress him anymore than Jaxon already was. "You haven't wanted to scratch that itch with someone else in the meantime though?"

Jaxon narrowed his eyes at Marco. Was this a fucking test or something? Didn't he understand that Jaxon was giving this thing between him and Leticia a real chance? No girls equaled no temptation equaled no fuck-ups.

"I'm just surprised" Marco mused. He ignored Jaxon's pissed off expression and continued the conversation as if he hadn't just ruffled his feathers. "It generally takes men a lot longer than women... Most guys I know get to 30 before they really get everything out of their system and start looking to settle down. At the rate you were going through pussy last year I figured you still had a few good years left in you."

"Things change" Jaxon shrugged. "Shit happens." A lot of shit had happened in the last year.

"It's easy to remain a bachelor in the life Valentino and I live. A different woman every weekend; friendly faces, fresh starts; but after a while those few minutes of pleasure feel empty. A different woman doesn't guarantee a different experience each time and eventually they all start to look and feel the same."

"Ah but if you throw in men on occasion that should shake things up" Jaxon teased the bisexual stud.

Marco shrugged his shoulders. "Really it's the same difference. A warm body, passionate fucking, and then it's over. That emptiness and longing is still there when that person goes back to their place... I've been in love with Valentino for so long that it became an impossible dream. I never allowed myself to feel that way for another man though I've had plenty of male lovers. Carina knocked Valentino off his feet. I was so fucking jealous of her. I wanted to hate her for taking Valentino away from me but she's hard to resist. I couldn't help getting lured into her magnificence. In the end she was the missing factor to our happily-ever-after."

"So you think if you would've found Carina earlier you still would've wanted to settle down, like you're doing now?"

"If she was legal" Marco smirked. Everyone knew there was a 9-year age difference but it was easy to forget when they were all together. "I just sometimes wonder how this all would've played out if
I'd
found her first."

Jaxon leaned back in his chair. It was so easy to play the
what if's
game. He'd been playing it too much as of recently. "For what it's worth I think it still would've ended up the same even if you three had taken a different route. I'm not into dudes but even I can see the love between you and Valentino."

Marco's lip curled. "Don't knock something until you've tried it."

Jaxon shot up from his seat. "Duly noted" he sarcastically replied. He absolutely did
not
want to hear what Marco would've done to him. Jaxon had seen the man in action with Carina and Valentino. He was man enough to admit that Marco had a magnificent body and knew how to use every inch of it for maximum pleasure. Jaxon would never admit aloud that his dick got as hard watching Marco suck Valentino off as it did when he watched the men go at Carina with the same passion and fervor. That was beside the point.

"I hope you found what you've been looking for" Marco quietly stated. Ironically he felt better now that Carina and Jaxon were close friends than when they weren't speaking to each other. Jaxon and Carina's sexual tension was off the charts during those turbulent months and it left Marco and Valentino uneasy.

"I think I have" Jaxon admitted. "I had to finally let go and accept things before I could really see..." He and Carina were closer now than they ever were before. He couldn't negate the chemistry that still lingered between them. No one could ever deny the attraction.

"That what you have now is better than what you had before" Marco finished for him. It may've been difficult for Jaxon to admit that but it was easy for Marco to voice it.

"Ain't that a bitch" Jaxon chuckled. "I never dreamed I'd be with Carina like this, without the sex, and still love every moment. Add Leticia..."

"You do not have what Valentino and I have with Carina" Marco growled.

"Calm the fuck down" Jaxon rolled his eyes. Marco may fuck dudes but he was no pansy. Jaxon and the girls had seen Marco knock around a few guys who thought they were the shit. "I meant that with Carina in my life, as a close friend, and
Leticia as my girl
" Jaxon emphasized, "It's like they were the missing pieces that I didn't even know were lost. I'm not saying some cliché shit like they complete me but for the first time in a long time I'm really good." Jaxon wasn't going to say even without the sex he was good because if he was being real with himself he missed sex, just not enough to throw a wrench in things. Currently his heart and mind superseded his dick and that was okay. It wouldn't last forever though.

Marco left a contemplating Jaxon at the table. He headed over to his lover knowing they had things to do and oversee before the night was over. Valentino and Marco looked around pleased with the night. It was one of the few nights a year the staff got to unwind and enjoy themselves. With the addition of Carina and her friends, the annual staff parties were even better than before. Marco leaned into Valentino knowing it was only a matter of time before everything shut down and they could snuggle up with Carina. They didn't expect to have sex with her tonight since she already appeared exhausted from all the festivities but to know she would sleep between them for the first time in weeks, was more than enough for them.

Chapter Fifty

"I think one of us should've stayed behind with her" Desirae grumbled to the group. She didn't want to leave with the others, well maybe more specifically with one specific member.

"Carina's leaving with Marco and Valentino" Jaxon rolled his eyes at Desirae. "And Brody hasn't left her side all night."

"I know" Beatriz pouted. She knew she was being entirely selfish but couldn't Valentino assign someone else to Carina? Brody was always her guarantee lay whenever she came to Club 69!

"I would've stayed if they put someone new on her" Diego growled. Why the hell was Carina friends with some of these girls? This Beatriz chick barely visited Carina while she was injured at the estate and now she was grumbling about the bodyguard Valentino and Marco assigned to protect his sister.

"Well he didn't" Griffin threw his arm over his disgruntled best friend. "And you're not. Let's go find somewhere else to go before everything closes up shop."

Jaxon immediately stiffened drawing Leticia and Desirae's attention. They followed his angry gaze to the far side of the parking lot. A flurry of colorful expletives escaped Jaxon making the others notice. "How long has she been on the property?" Jaxon demanded the three-piece suit by the entrance of the club.

The suit stared at Jaxon and the others. His facial expression said it all; he didn't report to them and didn't give a shit about justifying himself.

"I'll go in and get Marco" Leticia tried to diffuse the situation. The tension went up tenfold the moment everyone realized a very drunk Chelsea was loitering in Club 69's parking lot. It had been weeks since anyone had seen her. Not everyone in the group was aware of all that had transpired to get her fired from
Scandalous
and banned from all related properties.

"Be discreet" Diego barked. "I don't want Carina out here."

Leticia nodded her head in understanding. She hustled back into the club and prayed they wouldn't approach the raging bitch screaming obscenities to the building and its occupants.

"My uncle said she was Pete's accomplice" Jaxon snarled. He'd been trying to track Chelsea down for the last week but she'd disappeared into oblivion. She was under academic suspension and was involved in the lawsuit against
Hedonism
and Pete. Apparently Chelsea was the missing link to all of this.

"No way" Ariel vehemently shook her head. Chelsea was a little difficult to stomach sometimes but Ariel couldn't imagine her friend being involved in something so awful.

"Where the hell has your so-called friend been these last few weeks?" Jaxon challenged.

"Chelsea and Melissa march to their own beat!" Ariel defended.

"And if they're no longer the center of attention they move on" Beatriz added. She wasn't justifying their actions but she hadn't been surprised by their absence. Chelsea despised Carina and Desirae for plenty of reasons starting with Jaxon and ending with them no longer being the stars of the show. Melissa had always been the sidekick doing as Chelsea commanded.

"Did you know the reason why Chelsea and Melissa were fired from
Scandalous
?" Jaxon sneered. "Do you ever wonder why you don't see them around
Hedonism
or Club 69? It wasn't because they got bored with the place and the people! It was because they'll be arrested on site like that stupid bitch should've already been if this asshole would've done his job already!" Jaxon pointed at the appointed security onsite ensuring everyone heard.

The group eyed each other warily wondering what the fuck was Jaxon's issue. No one liked Chelsea but this was extreme, even for him. It wasn't their fault he fucked her and regretted it.

"That bitch over there is the root cause of everything that's happened to Carina! That night on campus wasn't the first time Pete laid his hands on Carina." Jaxon's eyes flared with rage.

"What the hell do you mean it wasn't the first time?" Diego roared. He stalked toward Jaxon but Desirae threw herself between the two angry men.

"Don't get fucking pissed with me" Jaxon yelled. "Carina didn't want you to know. Chelsea and Melissa got fired that same night because of the shit that went down. But it wasn't enough for that stupid bitch. Chelsea's the one who gave Pete everything he posted online."

Desirae didn't need to hear anymore. Part of her tried to listen as Jaxon described the night he and Marco walked in on Pete holding Carina down while Chelsea gave Pete head. Desirae registered the gasps and cries of disbelief but her entire focus was on the bleach blonde bitch a few yards away from them.

Red. It was all Desirae could see and feel. She trembled with rage, emanating hatred and disgust. It was all rolled into one horrific bundle suffocating her. The only way she could dispel the vulgarity was through the person who caused it to begin with. Desirae's feet took off of their own accord toward the ignorant bitch. She didn't slow down as she neared Chelsea. Her body moved faster than her mind could register anything.

Desirae swung her fist connecting with Chelsea's jaw. She allowed the momentum of her body to follow through with her punch. Pain flared through Desirae's knuckles but she felt immense satisfaction the moment she heard the crunch. Chelsea screamed in agony but it didn't deter Desirae. She jumped on a disoriented Chelsea and attacked. Hot tears and rage blinded her but it didn't stop her from clawing at Chelsea's face or punching her chest.

Several hands pulled Desirae off. She fought against the strong arms. She wasn't done with Chelsea. It wasn't enough; not until she received the same blows Pete delivered to Carina. "That fucking cunt" She screamed. "Let me go! It isn't enough. The bitch deserves worse" She roared.

Ariel hovered beside an unconscious Chelsea. She stared wide-eyed at a belligerent and out of control brunette that couldn't be contained by two males. "How can you call Chelsea a monster when you're no better" Ariel screamed at Desirae. She sobbed uncontrollably. She didn't know what was worse: seeing the ugly sides of her so-called friends or seeing Chelsea bloodied and unconscious.

"Diego take her home" Marco's sharp voice silenced the chaos.

"Did you know she was a part of it" Desirae howled. How could they withhold this kind of information? How could Marco appear so calm and collected about it all?

"Go before the cops get here" Marco snapped. There was no way they could lie to the police with so many third-party witnesses. Apparently the girls had drawn lines and Ariel had sided with Chelsea while Andrea and Sati helped Diego pull Desirae away. Beatriz was the only one who appeared unsure of her place in this mess.

Marco made eye contact with Diego hoping to convey his message. Desirae faced the possibility of charges; all they could do was make the best out of everything. Marco kneeled down close to Chelsea's still form.

"Get away from her" Ariel shrilled. No one related to Carina would take care of Chelsea.

"I've already called the ambulance" Marco placed his hand on Ariel's shaking shoulders. He understood her reticence. "I just need to make sure she's breathing okay."

Ariel blinked several times trying to process his words. Her muddled thoughts hadn't allowed her to think logically through this. Chelsea needed medical attention. Ariel nodded slightly but didn't move. Someone had to watch over her until the police and ambulance arrived. Desirae couldn't get away with this. Ariel watched as Marco checked Chelsea's pulse and listened to her breathing. She didn't allow Marco to check anything else. For all she knew he could try something and make things worse.

Marco and Ariel stepped away once the paramedics arrived on scene. They stood side-by-side until Chelsea was loaded into the ambulance and taken away to the nearest hospital.

"How did this happen?" Marco questioned aloud. He wasn't exactly sure he'd get a response but every member of the temporary security team had been briefed about the Chelsea and Pete situation.

"Apparently Chelsea convinced one of the guys during his cigarette break to allow her to stay on the far side of the parking lot and not make us aware of her presence" Valentino quietly informed Marco. Carina was locked away inside aware that something had happened outside but forbidden to exit the club.

"And where were the others" Marco growled in frustration. Why did guys always think with their dicks? This stupid fuck was losing his job because he allowed his need to get a nut to overshadow his duty.

"Doesn't matter" Valentino sighed. His hand shot up immediately silencing Marco. "We'll never use them again for any events and they cannot use us as a reference."

Marco huffed. It wasn't what he wanted to do to make the idiot pay but it would hurt the company professionally. This was the kind of error that could've been avoided. A moment of pleasure wasn't worth someone getting hurt. Marco shuddered at the thought of Carina stepping out to that sight before them. She didn't need to see any of this.

"Was Chelsea waiting to pounce on Carina?" Marco voiced his concern. The witnesses stated she was screaming profanities to the club and all its patrons but she hadn't harassed the staff or the others who'd left before last call.

"Focus" Valentino barked. They had too much to do for Marco to stew in anger and righteousness. He grabbed Marco by the back of the neck and softly kissed him. The contact of their lips was just enough to reassure each other. In the midst of chaos and seesawing emotions Valentino needed Marco to know they had each other.

"Thank you" Marco breathed. Valentino was one of the few people in this world that could bring him back from whatever insanity he faced. Valentino was Marco's rock; the place he called home.

"Let's deal with this shit and take our girl home. We'll need to talk to her about Chelsea's connection with Pete and what happened out here but I don't want to do that until we're home safe and snuggled in bed together." Valentino firmly stated. They all needed to take a breather and settle someplace safe before having that discussion. Marco nodded his head before taking a cleansing breath.

Leticia watched Valentino calm her cousin down. It was such an amazing sight to see two powerful men lean on each other and openly share their affection. Their love permeated in the air helping to calm everyone else. Leticia carefully approached Jaxon. Although she hated to think it, she was glad it had been Desirae going after Chelsea and not Jaxon. Leticia wrapped her arms around Jaxon's waist and just held him. They stood there not saying a word.

Jaxon breathed Leticia in grateful for her quiet and reassuring presence. She didn't offer him unnecessary words. She held him knowing silence and her presence were enough. Jaxon squeezed her tighter knowing he'd found a precious gift that he'd never take for granted.
