Even though he wasn’t talking to me, I nod at the same time as Storm. We all head down the hall to see about Liam. This is the worst day of my life but I will walk out of here knowing whether or not my father will die.

I look down at the papers that Storm just handed me. She was free of him before she died. She freed us of him before she died. So, he isn’t my father anymore. That’s even fucking better.
