me the next day to tell me that his scheduled business meeting had been postponed, so he wouldn’t have to fly out of town this week after all. We had lunch across the street from my office and then met up again that night. We were on his couch watching a movie again when I turned and asked him, “Some of my work colleagues saw you kissing me after you brought me back from lunch.”

“Good. So, what did they think of me loving on you,” he asked.

“Sandra, my work colleague, recognized you. She knows that you’re
the
Sean Brooks, retired NASCAR driver. She says her husband watches all the time.”

“I’m not always able to keep my identity a secret.” He turned to me, looking worried. “Did it affect your job there?”

“No, not at all, but they didn’t know that I had anyone in my life, so they’re kind of happy for me. I guess I’ve been happier lately and they’ve noticed.”

Sean smiled. “I’m glad you’re happy.”

“Are you?”

“Of course. Why would you even need to ask me that?”

“When I first met you, I thought you were…I don’t know…a bad boy with dangerous ways. I’m glad I got to really know you. The real you.”

“Well, there’s a time and place for everything. If I want to be bad, I’m bad. If I want to be dangerous, I get dangerous.” He kissed my earlobe and then let his lips trail up and down my neck and along my face.

“Mmmm,” I moaned. “You’re also a tease.”

“Really?”

I nodded. “But that’s okay. I love the way this is moving along.”

“I aim to keep you happy.”

“Sean?”

“Hmm?”

“What about your last girlfriend, did she enjoy taking things slow?” It was too late to take back my question.

“I imagine she did.”

“Were you in love with her, or was she just one of your short-term flings?” I couldn’t help but ask. While we were on the subject, I thought it was time to get personal and go deeper.

“I loved her. It wasn’t short-term.”

I swallowed. Sometimes the truth hurt, but there was no point in pretending that I wasn’t the least bit curious.

“Why aren’t you with her anymore?” I asked.

“We were never on the same page. Not since day one. She wanted something entirely different than what I could give her at the time. No matter what I did, I could never please her. She always wanted more and compared me to other men that were more successful than I. She grew up rich and had her own money, but she wanted more and more. Her father was that way with her, too. He pushed her all the time. She worked all the time on her modeling gigs, trying to be better than the next best girl at the agency.”

I sat quietly and listened.

“I did love her. When she got in trouble with the banks, I lent her money. When she lost her house, I rented her one of mine. When she got arrested while in possession of cocaine, I bailed her out. She knew I had the money and that’s why she stayed with me. I loved her, until eventually, I hated her.”

“Oh…?”

“Still want to know more?”

“If you want to tell me.”

“I found out she was cheating. I knew it and even had the hard-core evidence. I thought she’d tell me one day, but she never did. I even asked her, and she denied it. The night I broke up with her, she went to the other man, and both of them died in a very bad car accident.”

“Oh, my God, Sean. I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t be. It happened almost two years ago. I’m over it.”

“I’m not like that, Sean,” I said.

“I know, and it’s why I’m afraid to make a mistake with you.”

“Well, I’m here for you.” I kissed his lips. “You just have to promise to always be straight with me. I don’t know if I have the patience to deal with a man with ulterior motives again.”

“Ulterior motives?”

“I had a bad breakup about six months before I moved here. I guess you could say that it was one of the many reasons why I wanted to get away from my hometown.”

“What happened?”

“I was dating this guy for almost a year. Ronald and I were members of the same church when we met. Actually, my father introduced me to him. Our relationship got pretty serious to the point where he started talking to my father about asking me to marry him,” I said. “We were doing just fine in our normal relationship where almost everyone who knew us expected us to tie the knot one day. Then, one day, he found out that his ex-girlfriend had been thrown in prison for a crime she’d committed while they were together. He started getting weekly calls from her while she was incarcerated. He claimed that she was adopted and didn’t have any family members to help her out and that’s why she called him so much. He said they were still friends. I was jealous. I do admit that and I wanted her to stop calling him. Even though I was a little bitter, I also had a conscience. I gathered some information on lawyers that might be willing to help out and gave them to him to give to her.”

“That was considerate, but you didn’t have to do that,” Sean commented.

“I know. About a month passed, and I thought the situation was over, but during that time, he began growing distant. Our relationship wasn’t the same. I found his cell phone bill one night at his house and discovered that he was still receiving calls from his old girlfriend, so I called it quits with him. I became a hermit and didn’t want to be bothered with anything or by anyone. Weeks later, I was over at my parents’ house for dinner and they asked me why I didn’t bring Ronald. I thought they knew that we weren’t together anymore since weeks had passed without him joining me at church. Little did I know, Ronald had been asking my dad for money for almost three months before and weeks after our breakup, claiming it was to cover the deposit on a diamond engagement ring for me. When I confronted him about it the next day, he admitted that he needed the extra money to send to his old girlfriend. The one in prison. He had lied to both my dad and me.”

Sean shook his head. “Why would he send money to her if she was in prison? For her lawyer bills?”

“No. He was sending it to an offshore account to keep her quiet. Not too long after that, he was arrested and charged with the same crime she had been convicted of. Some kind of money scheme, I don’t know. Apparently, they were in on it together. I’m not sure if his girlfriend ratted him out or what, but at that point, I didn’t care. I felt used and I didn’t want anything else to do with him.”

“I’m sorry that happened to you.”

“I try not to be so skeptical of everyone. As time passes, the emotional pain that it caused me fades.”

“Come here.” He took my hand, lifted me up, and pulled me over to straddle his lap. “I’ll never hurt you like that. I don’t have it in me to do something like that. And besides…I like you a lot. A whole lot.”

“Sometimes your attitude throws me off.” I moved my sex gently over his arousal. “But I know what I want.”

“Ever since the day I saw you, I’ve been fascinated with these…” his hands moved from my waist to massage my breasts through my tube top. “So perfect.”

He moved in to kiss my neck and collarbone. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the emotions beginning to rush over me. He kissed my nipples through the cloth and I could feel them immediately respond and harden.

He pulled my tube top down to my waist and revealed my bare breasts. He licked at my nipples and squeezed gently with his palms. I bit my bottom lip, trying to stop myself from crying out.

He stood up with my legs still wrapped around his waist and lay me down on his leather couch. He unbuttoned and unzipped my jeans, lifted my hips upward, and pulled the denim down to my ankles. He carefully removed my pumps, and then freed me from my jeans. He lifted my feet and kissed me along my legs, calves, and ankles.

“Sean, I don’t think I can take any more teases,” I protested, lifting myself back up.

“Do you want me?”

“Yes.”

“I promise I won’t tease you this time, baby.” He was kissing my stomach in the area right below my belly button.

“I want you to fuck me, Sean. Don’t just make me come. But really fuck me. Not nice. Hard and fast. Just like you drive your cars.”

He chuckled into my belly, causing a series of shivers to spring through me. “Are you begging?”

He placed one of my legs on the back of his couch and the other foot on the floor so that my legs were spread for him. He stroked my pussy with his fingers through my thong underwear.

“Your pussy is so hot. You know what I’m gonna do?” He looked up at me, and I shook my head no. “I’m going to fuck you hard, just like you asked.”

He kissed me through my panties, exciting me, teasing me. He gently pulled them aside and took me with his mouth.

“Oh, Sean…”

He tongued me until I couldn’t hold in much of anything. My climax rushed through me with little warning.

“Don’t move,” he said once my first orgasm was over. “You look sexy open like that for me.”

He reached for his wallet and pulled out a condom. I watched him as he undressed to reveal his super hard body and a massive erection.

I lifted myself up so that his dick was level with my mouth and took him inside. He gasped as I began to stroke and please him.

“Now, Karlina.”

He pulled me away, rolled the latex down the length of his shaft then picked me up by the waist. I wrapped my legs around him and he lifted my ass up and carefully pushed my pussy down on the tip of his penis.

My head was tilted back in pleasure as he began to enter me. He thrust in and out, but only with the tip. I ground my hips into him, begging for more.

I buried my face in the crevice between his neck and shoulders. He groaned into my hair and pushed in some more. He moved over to the arm of his lounge chair and gently placed me on the edge with my back supported against the corner and, in one motion, thrust his dick into me.

I screamed. “Fuck.” Pain turned into pleasure.

“Damn,” he muttered. “Has it been that long for you?”

I nodded and rested my head back against the chair. It wasn’t just that. He was well endowed. Bigger than any man I’d ever had. I felt impaled by the long thickness of him.

He grabbed my calves and held my legs up and began to thrust in and out. We were both moaning uncontrollably, moving our pelvises to meet each other with each thrust. Our sweat-riddled bodies worked together to give each other pleasure and reach the ultimate ending.

I reached yet another climax, but this time with my arms wrapped around him. He kissed me as I came, swallowing his name as it left my lips. His body began to quake and shiver and he exploded into the condom within me.

Even when it was over, we remained cradled in each other’s arms.

T
hat whole week
, it was non-stop sex for Sean and me. I knew that, eventually, he’d have to go out of town on business again, and I wanted all that I could get. And sure enough on Monday morning, I got a call from him saying that he’d just caught a flight out to Texas. He wouldn’t be back in town until Wednesday at the earliest.

I drove to the gym after work for my circuit training class. I was a little stressed out with it being month-end at the office but knew that I would feel better after working up a sweat. As I entered the shower room to change out of my work clothes, I thought about Sean. To me, he was just so perfect. But even I knew that everything that glittered wasn’t gold. I imagined how much more bliss and ecstasy we could share together before we got tired of one another. And before he decided that our affair was becoming too long-term for him. The one thing that I could say was that it was good while it lasted. Maybe that’s all that really mattered.

I didn’t want to worry about the future. I wanted to live right now.

As I walked into the classroom, some of the women were already beginning to stretch. I’d started out in circuit training classes and I remembered how it was always so comforting and encouraging to work out with other women who shared the same goals as me. I still felt the same way. Plus, I could have sworn I had gained about five pounds since I met Sean. When the instructor blew the whistle, we pretty much knew the routine. Five minutes on each piece of equipment and two repetitions with no breaks in between.

After the circuit training, I took a quick shower and changed into some casual clothes. I was hungry, so I decided to make a quick trip to the deli across the street.

I flung my gym bag over my shoulder and walked out of the shower room. As I turned the corner, a man was lifting his head from the water fountain. Before he could focus on where he was going and before I could move out of the way, he slammed right into me.

“Ah!” My outburst was that of disgust, I took a step back to regain my composure.

“I’m so sorry,” he apologized. “Gosh, I’m so clumsy. Are you okay?”

He finally looked up at me to reveal stunning green eyes and curly black hair. He was so tall he towered over me by at least four or five inches. I was five feet seven inches, so that made him well over six-feet tall. He was incredibly lean and muscular beneath his basketball jersey shirt and baggy jogging shorts. His was light in complexion and the shade reminded me of honey.

“Yes, I’m fine.”

“Wait a minute. Do I know you?”

I squinted, refocusing my attention. “I don’t think so.”

He continued standing in my path, giving me the once over. “I think I’ve seen you before but I could be wrong. I’m Jonathan.” He held out his hand to me.

“Karlina.” I shook his hand. “I started my membership here about two months ago.”

“I just bought this place about a month ago. I’m from Chicago.” He stroked at his chin and narrowed his gaze. “Karlina, you look familiar.”

I smiled. “That’s crazy. I’m from Chicago, too. I just moved here.”

“Oh…you kind of look like…wait, are you related to the Nguyens?”

My hand went to my mouth. “Jonathan! Jonathan Duvall. From the church? From my dad’s church?”

“Your dad’s the pastor, right? I knew I knew you from somewhere.” He gave me a quick hug. “I moved right after he took over the congregation there, remember?”

My gaze shifted across him. No wonder I didn’t immediately recognize him. It looked like he’d lost some weight and he’d certainly bulked up a bit. His hair was also cut shorter than what I remembered.

“Yeah, you did move. What happened?”

“I was out in Florida for a little bit and now I’m here in Atlanta.”

I smiled. “Wow, it’s a really small world.”

While Jonathan had attended the church with his parents on Sunday, he’d been the topic of a lot of conversations among the younger women. Nearly all the teenagers there had the hots for him.

“So, what’s the pastor’s daughter doing all the way out here?” he asked.

I shrugged. “Getting away. Making a name for myself, I guess. I moved here to take a new job, actually.”

“Yeah, well congrats on that.”

“Thanks.” Of course, I didn’t tell him that I had lost the job before I could even start and was only working part-time as secretary in a small office now. He didn’t need to know all that.

“What ever happened to Tasha, your best friend?” he asked.

“We’re still best friends,” I replied. “We came down here together actually.”

“Cool.” He stepped back and gave me another long, slow once over.

I glanced at my watch. I was expecting a call from Sean tonight.

“Jonathan, it was nice to see you again, but I’m afraid I have to go,” I said, beginning to move past him.

He fell in step beside me. “You um…doing anything? I mean, why don’t we get together sometime?” He smiled suggestively.

“I…well…”

He rolled his eyes. “You’re taken, of course. All the good ones are.”

I sighed in relief, thankful that I didn’t have to do the explaining.

“Hey, take my card.” He shoved his card at me. “If you ever feel the urge, you know…to break free, just give me a call.”

I nodded and looked down at his card. Jonathan Duvall, 24/7 Fitness Studio, Owner.

“You’re the owner, huh?”

“Yeah. Like I said, I just bought the place. I’m also one of the personal trainers here.”

“Nice,” I said. “Well, I’ve gotta go.”

“Bye. And I hope to see you back here often.” He grinned.

“Sure.” I turned around and hurried out of the gym.

When I got in my car, I put the card down in my gym bag with my dirty clothes.
