Chapter 26
Gotcha
It had been weeks since Blu told me about Bart raping her. I had put an APB out on this nigga. I told my entire crew if they see him let me know ASAP. This nigga must have heard I was looking for him 'cause he disappeared; he was almost as hard to find as Black.
One night after stopping at the corner store for some blunts, I spotted him across the street, coping some dope from Cordell. He was so engrossed in the product he didn't even notice me walking across the street.
“Wassup, Budz,” Cordell spoke, blowing my cover.
Bart looked back at me and took off running.
I wasn't in the mood to chase this nigga, but he was so hard to catch, I had no choice. I took off running after him.
Damn, this nigga can run his ass off,
I thought. I was definitely out of breath by the time I got to Seventy-eighth Street
. After I catch this nigga I gotta leave them blunts alone.
I had no gas at all. I wasn't gon' give up though. I was gon' kill this nigga for raping my girl and making me run after him. I chased him down a back alley. I slowed down as I watched him jump over a fence landing in a yard that was occupied by three big-ass Rottweilers. He was so busy trying to get away from me he must not have noticed them, until one of them snatched the bottom of his pant legs, which caused him to fall to the ground. He began screaming like a little bitch as the other two joined in. I could hear the dogs tearing into his flesh.
I stood and watched for at least ten minutes as the dogs feasted on Bart's body, mauling him. Either way, Bart was gon' die tonight; either I was gon' kill him, or the dogs. I'd rather the dogs do it; that way it would save me from having his blood on my hands. After the dogs killed Bart, I shook my head and walked off.

Blu had been acting so shady lately, it wasn't even funny. So I started spending more and more time out with Miguel, kicking it and getting high. I enjoyed being around him more than his sister. I didn't know what had gotten into her, and wasn't trying to find out.
“Hey, baby,” I said, walking into the house with a dozen red roses, hoping to cheer my girl up.
“Hey,” she said, dryly.
“I missed you today,” I said, planting a kiss on her neck.
“Did you?” she asked, sarcastically. “Where you been?”
“Me and Miguel went to the club and had a couple of drinks,” I said, setting the vase down on the table.
“Damn, you and Miguel sure do spend a lot of time together. Y'all niggas act like y'all fuckin' or somethin',” Blu snapped, angrily.
Before I could stop myself, I slapped Blu out the chair. She fell to the floor and grabbed her face. “Don't you ever call me a fag, bitch!” I snapped angrily.
“I was just playin', damn,” Blu said looking up at me.
“I don't play like that! If you ever let that come outta yo' mouth again I will knock all yo' fronts out, you hear me?” I warned. I could see the fear in her eyes, but I didn't give a fuck.
“Sorry,” she said, getting up off the floor.
I watched as she walked out of the kitchen. I shook my head in disbelief. I couldn't believe I had just put my hands on Blu, but she needed to stay in her lane.
Chapter 27
Nigga Puhleeze
After Budz put his hands on me that night, I'd been spending more and more time with Black every chance I got. He still wouldn't fuck me, but that was okay. I knew I would get my chance eventually. I had to find a way to get away from Budz first, but him saying that once I was in ain't no getting out constantly played on my mind. Death wasn't an option for me so I had to come up with a plan and I needed Black's help to put my plan in motion.
“So what you gon' do, beautiful?” Black asked me as we sat in his living room on the couch talking.
“I don't know what to do,” I said, clueless on how to get out of the relationship I was in.
“Kill him,” Black said without blinking.
I looked at Black like he was crazy. “Kill him? I can't do that!” I said lightweight offended that he would even suggest that.
“Why not?” he asked, nonchalantly.
“What? Do you think I just go around killlin' people for the fun of it?” I asked.
“You did a pretty good job killin' that old couple,” he replied.
“Whateva, Black,” I said standing up from the couch, walking over to the window and began gazing at the city lights.
“Look, shorty, you the one asked me for advice. I gave it to you, now you act like I done somethin' wrong,” Black said, walking over to me.
“It's not that you done anything wrong. I just don't think I can kill the nigga. He was the one who helped me get on my feet. I kinda feel obligated to at least let the nigga live,” I said, feeling remorseful for even coming to Budz's archenemy to ask for relationship advice.
“Well, stay wit' the nigga then,” Black said, shrugging his shoulders. “That's on you.”
“I don't wanna stay wit' him though,” I said as I continued gazing out of the window.
“Well, I told you my thoughts on the situation. It's up to you what you gon' do.”
“I don't know,” I said, unsure what to do.
Black began kissing me on the nape of my neck, turning me on. “Well, I gotcha back wit' whatever decision you make.”
“Thank you,” I moaned.
“Just think, wit' that nigga out the way, you can team up wit' me and we can make some real money,” Black said, taking a step back.
I had started thinking Black just wanted to use me to get his competition out the way and help him make his empire even bigger than what it already was. Black then grabbed my hand and led me to his bedroom. I was surprised and hadn't expected this; this was the first time he'd ever taken me in here. I was finally about to get me some of his dick. I was anxious as he undressed me. He took his time with me. I couldn't wait to see what he was working with as he began taking off his own clothes. Just like I thought, he was hung like a horse.
“Lie down,” Black demanded, reaching down and grabbing a condom out of his pants pocket.
Without hesitation I climbed in his bed and lay on my back. I watched as he slid the condom on his fully erect penis. He walked over to the bed and climbed in. We then began kissing. Black put his manhood inside of me and that was all it took. I was hooked. He fucked me so good, he made me wanna go home and kill Budz. After taking a break and fucking me again, we lay in the bed talking.
“You know this pussy belongs to me now?” he looked at me and said.
I was happy to hear that but I wasn't gon' let him know that. “Whatever,” I said, smiling.
“I'm serious,” Black looked at me.
“But what about Budz?” I asked.
“You know what you gotta do,” Black said before leaning over kissing me. Before long we were at it again. I knew what I had to do; I had to take Budz out.

Black pestered me for weeks about when I planned on taking Budz out. I kept coming up with excuses why I hadn't done it yet. Part of me still felt I owed Budz. He told me I was playing around and he was gon' help me along with the process. I told him I would never give him the satisfaction of helping me kill Budz. I at least owed him that much if anything. Black assured me that he didn't want no part of it, but had some ammunition to make me want to get it over with.
I was anxious as I headed to Black's house. I needed to know what this ammunition was that he had that would make me wanna take Budz out with a quickness. When I pulled up in front of the bar, he was standing outside waiting on me. I got out of the truck and walked over to him.
“What's up, sexy,” he said, giving me a kiss on the lips, making me melt.
“Wassup?” I replied with a huge smile.
Black didn't hesitate; he grabbed me by my hand.
“Where we goin'?” I asked.
“I'm about to hand you the bullet that you gon' put in Budz's head,” he said, leading me over to his truck.
I was confused as I climbed in. I didn't know what this fool was talking about. I sat quietly and tried to figure out what he meant about giving me the bullet. I got kinda nervous as we turned down a dark alley. “You ain't plannin' on killin' me are you?” I asked, paranoid.
Black busted out laughing. “Naw, girl, for what?”
“I don't know, niggas don't need a motive nowadays,” I said, calming down some. “Well what are we doin' in this alley then?”
“Get out,” he said, opening up his door.
I did what Black told me to do and walked around to the driver's side.
“You see that bar over there?” he said pointing.
“Yeah, what about it?” I asked, not knowing where he was headed with this.
“Just keep lookin',” he said.
I watched the bar for the next ten minutes. “Wait, is that Budz?” I looked over at Black and asked. I got scared. These niggas was setting me up. How in the hell did I let these niggas catch me slipping?
Black smirked. “Yeah, that's him.”
“Y'all settin' me up?”
“Just keep lookin', sweetheart,” Black said without answering my question.
I watched as my brother came out the door. I calmed down some, knowing even though me and Miguel didn't get along, he wouldn't let anything happen to me.
“What is all this about, Black? Why are we out here watchin' Budz and my brother?”
“Wait for it,” he said as I turned my attention back to Budz and Miguel. I watched as Budz hailed a cab for Miguel.
My heart jumped in my throat as I watched Budz and Miguel lean in and tongue kiss one another before Miguel hopped into the cab.
“Bingo!” Black shook his head in disgust and got back into the truck.
I couldn't believe what I'd just seen. I felt sick to my stomach. I always had an intuition my brother was gay, but you couldn't make me believe Budz was too. He had too much street cred to be fucking with boys. I saw now why he'd gotten so angry when I'd called him and Miguel gay. My head was spinning as I watched Budz staring after the cab Miguel was in.
“You look shocked standing out there, baby girl,” Black leaned out the window and said sarcastically.
I stood and watched as Budz got in his car and pulled off. I couldn't find the right words to explain how I was feeling as I got back in the truck.
“Now, are you ready to work wit' me?” Black asked.
I slowly shook my head yes, still in shock.
“He was playin' you, ma. He was usin' you for show, while he was fuckin' yo' brother the entire time. Now how disrespectful is that shit?” Black asked, starting up the truck.
Even though Black was right, I didn't want to hear it. It was like he was pouring alcohol on an open wound. I couldn't do nothing but cry. I was crushed. I was mad at the world right now including Black. The nigga was cold and doing whatever he could to get me on his team, even destroying me inside.
“Stop all that cryin' and use that hurt to figure out a way to take that gay-ass nigga out,” Black said.
I knew Black was right. After seeing Budz and Miguel kissing, I knew I was gon' kill these bitches for making the ultimate fool of me. This punk-ass nigga didn't know the first thing about loyalty. Budz was no dummy though so I had to walk lightly. First thing first, I had to drop the attitude and get back on good terms with Budz. I didn't know how I was gon' stomach being around him, but in order to get what I wanted I had to do what I had to do. It wasn't gon' be easy, but the end result would be my get back.
Chapter 28
Crazzzzy Derrrrranged
“Fuck me harder, baby. It feels so good,” Miguel screamed as I rammed my dick in and out of his asshole.
“Awwwww,” I moaned before cumming all up inside of Miguel. I shook uncontrollably as I tried to get every drop of nut out of me.
“Was it good, daddy?” Miguel looked at me and asked.
“Damn good,” I replied with a smile. I lay back on the bed and closed my eyes.
“Penny for your thoughts,” Miguel lay next to me and said.
I opened my eyes and looked at him. “I was just thinkin' about yo' sister.”
“How you gon' be thinkin' about that bitch after fuckin' me?” Miguel asked with a straight attitude.
“Not like that, baby,” I said, rubbing Miguel's arm, trying to calm him down.
“Well what's it like then?”
“I was just wonderin' if she was bipolar or somethin'. I mean, for the longest time she was mad at me; now she goin' out her way to try to make me happy and I just don't understand it,” I said.
“Well it's obvious the bitch is nuts. She gets it from her crazy-ass daddy.”
“What was up wit' that cat? Blu told me he left yo' momma?” I asked, curiously.
“Blu was too young to remember anything about her dad, so she don't even know what she talkin' about! We used to live wit' him in New Orleans until I was like four. And no, he didn't leave my momma; she left him 'cause he was crazy as fuck!”
“What do you mean by crazy?” I sat up and asked, needing to know what I'd gotten myself into.
“Well, he was from New Orleans and real deep off into voodoo. My momma said he had been actin' strange right after they got together but she didn't pay it no mind until she caught him prayin' over Blu in some kind of language that she couldn't understand. When my mom confronted him about it, he got real angry and flipped out while chantin' somethin' over and over.”
I sat quietly as Miguel spoke.
“He tore the entire house up and told my mom that he gon' make sure she live in darkness for the rest of her life. After that he locked us in the house and he was the only one with a key to get out. He took all the phones out the house and the TV. He told momma that she might find a way to communicate with the people inside the TV.”
“Huh?” I frowned.
“Yeah, he put bars on the windows and everything. My momma wasn't allowed to leave the house unless it was with him. She had to quit her job and everything 'cause he wouldn't let her go nowhere. I wasn't allowed to go outside and play; it was like he was holdin' us hostage.”
“Well how did she end up gettin' away from him?” I questioned, wanting to know the rest of the story.
“Well, one night he went out drinkin' wit' some of his friends and somehow she picked the lock on the front door. We left wit' nothin' but the clothes on our backs and caught the bus to Chicago. My momma didn't even know anybody here, she just bought the cheapest tickets she could and we came here and lived in a shelter until she got on her feet. And we've been here ever since.”
“So have she seen or heard from him since then?”
Miguel shook his head no. “My momma cut all ties. She said she would never let him see Blu, fearin' he might do somethin' to her. I heard my grandmother and aunts say he was schizophrenic and you know that shit could be hereditary,” Miguel said, lightweight throwing shade.
“Wow,” I said, surprised.
“You can say that again,” Miguel said. “I can't even lie though; the nigga had money for days. Like I told you before, he was a true hustler.”
I lay back and let the story Miguel had told me marinate. I didn't know if Blu was crazy like her dad or what, and didn't want to find out. All I knew was she sure was acting funny all of a sudden. I loved Blu, but I would take her out the game way before she took me out. With that heavy on my mind, I rolled over trying to sleep but tossed and turned all night instead.
