Curtis’s head rolled back as he arched his back, getting his first blowjob. His knees shook as Chauncey’s tongue played with his shaft.

He unfisted his hands and ran them over Chauncey’s head, praying his mate didn’t stop anytime soon. He gasped when Chauncey took his cock all the way in and at the same time slid his fingers into Curtis’s ass.

“Chauncey,” he groaned his mate’s name as Chauncey stretched him. Waves of ecstasy throbbed through him as his mate sucked him in and out of his mouth. Curtis was fully hard now, whimpering for another release. He groaned when Chauncey let go of his cock. He knew what was next, and his body almost shook apart.

“Relax, babe. Slow, remember?”

“Yes,” he replied.

“I want you on your hands and knees for your first time. It’ll be a lot easier for you.”

Curtis didn’t want to. He wanted to stay on his back, but Chauncey was the experienced one. He would know. Curtis rolled over when his mate moved out of his way. He felt exposed, vulnerable in this position. His ass was sticking out in the air for Chauncey’s inspection. He swallowed hard as he waited for Chauncey to claim him.

His arms shook when he felt something much larger at his entrance. His slammed his eyes closed, waiting for Chauncey to enter him.

A dry hand spanned over his back. “You have to try and relax, babe.”

Curtis nodded, letting out a whoosh of air from his lungs that he had been holding in. He bit into his bottom lip when he felt his bear finally breach him. Curtis’s fingers curled into the blanket as Chauncey slowly inched his way in. His hands never stopped skimming over Curtis’s skin, helping him relax a little bit at a time.

Curtis curled his back in as he needed desperately more than the first touch.

As Chauncey finally bottomed out, Curtis couldn’t help the cry of ecstasy that left his lips. Chauncey had made good on his promise. He had taken it slow and showed Curtis another realm to his world.

“Please,” he begged as Chauncey stilled.

“Not yet. Let your body adjust to mine, Curtis. I won’t rush this.”

“Rush, yes, rush,” Curtis begged between clenched teeth. He wasn’t sure what was going on with his body, but he felt like he was free falling, tumbling through the unknown as Chauncey knelt behind him. His body had a mind of its own, trying to take Curtis somewhere unfamiliar.

Chauncey chuckled as he gave Curtis’s ass a slight tap. “No rushing.”

Curtis groaned.

“What’s this? Does my mate like a light spanking?” Chauncey asked. Curtis was too embarrassed to say yes, so he kept quiet. That didn’t stay true for long. Not when his mate tapped his ass again.

Curtis wiggled around, discovering that
he
could have pleasure if he moved around. To hell with waiting on his mate. Curtis pushed back, and his mate didn’t stop him. “That’s right babe, fuck me. Fuck my cock, hon.”

Curtis rocked back and forth on his hands and knees, mewling as pure and raw pleasure took over. He spread his knees a little farther apart as he took gratification from his mate.

“Fuck, babe. Keep crying out like that. It’s turning me on.”

It wasn’t like he was doing it on purpose. The noises were being pulled from him with every thrust backwards.

Chauncey’s enormous fingers dug into his hips. “Now it’s my turn, to show you something new.”

Curtis stilled, wondering what he was talking about. He soon found out when Chauncey began to thrust into his ass. He cried out like someone was killing him as Chauncey thrust harder, pulling Curtis back on every forward stroke.

“That’s right, babe. Scream for me.” Curtis had no problem filling that order. He screamed to the top of his lungs as Chauncey showed him what sex was really about. His desire overrode everything as he felt the buildup coming. His legs quivered as his arms shook, sweat dripping from his face as he cried out again. Curtis’s cock was ready to explode as Chauncey pounded into his ass.

“Chauncey!” Curtis screamed as his cock exploded, spurts of seed shooting out like a fired cannon. It was too much. Curtis tried to crawl up the bed, but Chauncey held him in place.

“You’re not going anywhere, hon. I’m not done with you yet.” Chauncey growled as he thrust harder, deeper, and with more meaning. Curtis whimpered as he felt his body overriding his mind.

He was going insane!

Chauncey made the bed move a few inches as he jackhammered his cock inside of Curtis’s ass. He stiffened and then roared behind Curtis, falling over Curtis’s back as he bit into his shoulder. Another orgasm was ripped from Curtis’s balls as his mate claimed him. Curtis howled as his body wracked with his release. He felt something strange inside of him. Somehow, he felt closer to Chauncey, like his bear was living and breathing inside of him. Curtis gloried at the bond he knew they shared now.

He fell to the bed, unable to hold himself up anymore. Chauncey came down with him but twisted his body out of the way at the last second. He pulled Curtis close as one of his ham-sized legs wrapped over Curtis’s lower half. Curtis burrowed under his mate as he closed his eyes, still feeling Chauncey’s cock buried deep inside of him.

“Are you okay, Curtis?” Chauncey asked softly.

Curtis smiled. He was more than okay. He wasn’t a virgin anymore, and his mountainous man was the one who took his virginity. Things couldn’t be any more perfect than that. “Yes.” Chauncey grunted as he tucked Curtis’s head under his chin, and soon began to snore. Curtis tucked his body even closer as he let sleep take him.

Damn if he wasn’t sore though.

* * * *

Chauncey looked around the apartment. There were lots of boxes.

Piles of them. Some of the mates from the timber wolf pack had volunteered to help move Curtis into his new apartment. He still didn’t like it.

“Was this your idea?” Mark asked as he stood with his arms crossed over his chest, looking as though he wanted to shoot Chauncey.

“Hell no. I tried to talk him out of it.” Mark eyed him for a moment, almost assessing him before nodding. “Then you and I agree on something.”

“That we do,” Chauncey replied. He wasn’t trying to take away his mate’s freedom, but it scared the hell out of him to have Curtis all alone, out on his own without a pack to keep him safe.

“I see you claimed him,” Mark said out of the blue.

Hell if Chauncey was giving any intimate details about his mating.

That was private. Only for him and Curtis’s consumption. It was none of Mark’s business. He nodded, refusing to give any more.

“Fair enough. His safety is now your responsibility,” Mark said and then walked across the room, a deadly gait to his walk. “I love my son more than my own life. Don’t fuck this up,
bear
.”

Chauncey growled, his claws unsheathing as he bumped chests with Mark. “Curtis is my life. He is my responsibility, yes, but I won’t have you ruling his every action any longer. He belongs to me now.” Mark smiled, backing off. “That’s all I wanted to know.” Chauncey wasn’t sure what just happened, but he’d take it. Mark was stepping aside, something he had wanted to happen since finding out Curtis was his mate.

“Dad, I won’t have cameras in my damn room!” Curtis complained as he walked into the living room, Nero close on his heels. “I relented when you wanted them installed, but I’m sure, no, I’m positive you don’t want to see what goes on in there.” Mark’s face screwed up like he had just bitten into a dozen lemons. “I don’t want to know.”

“Then tell Nero that there will be no cameras installed in there, or I promise to give the performance of a lifetime.” Chauncey snickered at his mate’s adamancy. It was turning him on to see Curtis stand up to his dad.
Grr
. He wanted to see this performance of a lifetime. His cock was getting hard as he stood there imaging what that would be like.

“No cameras in the bedroom, Nero,” Mark said and then smiled smugly at his son.

“If that’s what you want. But I still say he should be monitored twenty-four seven from every angle. Every angle. This is not good. Not good at all. I can erase the intimate details of my monitoring.”

Chauncey growled. No one was seeing any
intimate details
of anything where Curtis was concerned. “No cameras in the bedroom.” He backed his mate up on this one.

“Fine,” Nero pouted as he walked into the kitchen, his mate, Gunnar, following behind him. Gunnar turned around before disappearing, giving Chauncey a wink and a chuckle.

“Why does he wear blue gloves?” Chauncey asked Mark after his mate stormed off after Nero, mumbling something about monitoring the other man.

“Long story. He has too many phobias to even list.” Thank fuck that wasn’t his mate. Nero would drive him up the wall. Chauncey rolled his eyes when a knock sounded on the door.

The pack had been coming in and out all day. Even his twin Chance and his oldest brother, Riley, had shown up to inspect the place. It was like a damn zoo here.

“Come in,” he barked. He was a little puzzled when three men walked in. Two of them looked like cops. Were they making too much noise? He knew there was a lot of foot traffic coming and going out of the apartment, but why would detectives show up? They had to be detectives. They had their badges hanging on chains around their necks and were in plainclothes.

“Chauncey, this is Lewis and his mate, Evan. I’m not sure who the other guy is,” Mark said, bristling right along with Chauncey as the unknown man stepped into the apartment.

“This is my new partner, Detective Damien Jones,” Lewis introduced.

Fuck if this place wasn’t getting smaller. Too many people were here already. Chauncey kept the complaint to himself as he shook everyone’s hands. “No offense, but why are you here?” Lewis chuckled. “Because Mark wants Damien to meet Curtis.” Chauncey gave a low growl, his eyes snapping to his father-in-law. “Matchmaking?”

“Too late for that. No. I wanted the local law enforcement to get to know my son. Kinda keep an eye out for him.” Chauncey spent the next hour or two sidestepping small mates and large warriors as they brought in furniture and kitchenware. After a while, he just plopped down on the couch. Moving day was exhausting. His head snapped up when the front door opened. He was about to tell off whoever it was for just walking in, when he noticed who it was.

Maverick bent slightly as his enormous frame entered the apartment, his eyes appraising the place as he stepped inside.

Chapter Five

Curtis held Chauncey’s hand as they walked down the street. They were heading for the diner to grab some dinner. They were both exhausted from getting Curtis’s apartment in order. It had been a long day, and all Curtis wanted to do was eat, shower, and sleep. He was excited that Chauncey had agreed to stay the night.

To be honest, he was a little afraid of sleeping in his new place by himself. Curtis had never lived on his own before, and he found that he didn’t like it. He was too embarrassed to tell Chauncey that he had reconsidered. After all the help the pack gave him, Curtis felt compelled to stay there now.

He was trying his hardest to be a man and stand on his own two feet. To admit he had been wrong was a blow to his ego. Curtis was just going to have to suck it up and deal with it. He glanced down the street as they neared the diner, and Curtis’s heart started beating faster. Billy stood outside the post office, his back against the wall and one foot propped on the brick building.

Curtis averted his gaze as he squeezed his mate’s hand tighter. He hadn’t seen Billy around since that summer when he first arrived. And Curtis hadn’t wanted to see him since.

“You okay, hon?” Chauncey asked as they passed by Billy. The redhead smiled smugly at him, tipping his head slightly as Curtis walked by. He quickly looked away, nodding his head absently.

“Yeah. I’m fine. I’m just hungry and tired.” It was partially the truth. He glanced back to see Billy watching him. Curtis had never been happier the day he found out that his dad, Mark, had fired Billy for stealing. He thought he’d never see the guy again. What was he doing here now? Curtis knew Billy lived on one of the farms that outlined the surrounding county, but he hadn’t seen him in years.

Why now?

“Come on. Let’s get some food into you.” Curtis didn’t argue. He walked quickly toward the diner, hurrying inside as Chauncey held the door open for him. The instant sound of chatter and dishware clanging surrounded him as Curtis glanced around.

“Sit anywhere, guys,” Tangee, a waiter, and one of the mates, called out. Curtis spotted Keata and headed straight for the counter.

“Is this where you want to sit?” Chauncey asked as he followed Curtis to the counter.

“Yeah. You don’t mind, do you?”

“Nope,” his mate said as he swung a leg over the stool. “Don’t mind at all.”

Curtis took a seat next to his mate as Keata, Cody’s mate and the smoothie maker, headed his way. “Hey, Curtis. What can I get for you?”

Curtis smiled at the feminine-looking guy. It still amazed him to this day that Keata was a tiger—a small one but a tiger nonetheless.

Curtis glanced over to see Cody talking with his business partner, Frank. Everything seemed so normal around here. There were even a few warriors and their mates sitting at booths. Yeah, everything was normal.

Until he saw Billy enter the diner and take a seat a few stools down from him. Curtis wasn’t hungry anymore but didn’t want Chauncey questioning him. “I’ll have a strawberry-banana smoothie.”

“Sounds good. I’ll have one, too,” Chauncey said as he bumped shoulders with Curtis. Curtis smiled up at his mate. Happiness surrounded him as he stared into his mate’s gray eyes. He could see love shining in them. Curtis felt his face blush as Chauncey leaned down and gave him a quick kiss.

“I’ll have the same,” Billy said.

Curtis stiffened.

“You okay?” Chauncey asked again as he pulled back, searching Curtis’s eyes.

“Yeah,” he lied as he pulled his gaze away from his mate. Curtis hated the fact that he had just lied to his mate. He hated the fact that Billy was a few stools down from him. Why was the guy fucking with him? There was no other explanation.

“Here you are,” Keata said as he sat Curtis and Chauncey’s smoothies in front of them. Curtis thanked him and shoved his straw into his cold drink. He felt Billy’s eyes watching him, so he turned his body to face his mate’s.
