“Hell yeah.”
“Do you know what an even better sight is, honey bunny?” Chauncey asked as he drew lazy circles around Curtis’s back.
“What?” Curtis asked as he stretched out like a lazy kitten.
“You sitting on top of me. I’ll never get enough of that.” Curtis once again propped his chin onto his hands as he gazed at Chauncey. His grassy-green eyes told many stories as his eyes sparkled. Chauncey could see the love he had in them for him. It spoke volumes, volumes that Chauncey would always want to see.

Curtis walked out of the barbershop, running his hands over his close-cut hair. He had done it. He no longer resembled a girl. His hair was cut low to the scalp. His mate was going to have a fit, but Curtis loved it.
He walked down to the diner where he was supposed to meet his mate. Curtis took a moment to look out over Brac Village. It was expanding and growing. There were new businesses being built and old ones coming back to life. The place still had that hometown feel, and Curtis knew Maverick wouldn’t have it any other way. Brac Village may be getting a face-lift, but the small town still felt like home.
Curtis walked into the diner, spotting his mate right away. He was a mountainous man that set Curtis’s blood on fire. Chauncey gaped at him as Curtis headed his way.
“You look stunning.” Chauncey growled as he pulled Curtis into his arms and practically rammed his tongue down Curtis’s throat.
“Ah, geez. Am I going to have to get a spray bottle?” Curtis looked over his shoulder at his dads as they walked into the diner. He grinned from ear to ear as Mark wrinkled his nose.
“Nope, just some sunglasses because I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.”

D sighed as he walked down the steps. He was in big trouble now.
Pa was furious with him. He couldn’t help it. Caffeine seemed to be his downfall into the gutter life. He was a junky and needed a fix desperately.
He peeked around the corner to see if Pa was in the kitchen before he tiptoed his way to the coffeemaker.
“Not even on a good day could you sneak past me,” Pa said as he closed the fridge.
D opened his mouth to defend himself when the phone rang. He used the distraction to run to the coffeepot, but it was empty.
Damn it!
“For you.” Pa held out the phone to D.
He shook his head back and forth, his hands waving frantically in front of him.
“You’re going to have to talk to him sooner or later. Might as well get it over with,” Pa said as he set the phone down on the counter and walked away.
D bit his bottom lip as he slowly lifted it to his ear. He could hear heavy breathing on the other end, but he didn’t say a word. He knew who it was. There was only one person who called him here.
His mate.
“You can run from me all you want, Dudley. I
will
catch you. And when I do, it’s just you and me.”
D quickly hung up the phone, panting as he looked around the kitchen. Bloody hell, the wolf was going to kill him! He picked the phone back up, doing the only thing he knew to save his ass.
D had to call his brothers.
