He dialed Kevin as he drove home. “Hey man, how did it go?” Kevin said to Dominic without even saying hello. “I think that I'm going to be traveling with an extremely beautiful woman in about two months.” They both laughed and continued their conversation as Dominic headed home.

CHAPTER FIVE

The next few weeks leading up to the trip moved swiftly.  Victoria and Dominic decided to have the testing done at Victoria’s doctor's office. Dominic didn’t need to be tested because he had already had all the necessary test performed by his personal physician, but he wanted to spend time with Victoria, even if it included accompanying her to the doctor and being tested again with her.  While they were there, Victoria’s doctor explained her condition.

With all the testing and arrangements made, they were leaving the next day for the villa in Terres Basses - Baie Rouge St. Martin.  It was pricey, but she really wanted a nice place to stay and she could afford it.  Victoria felt herself getting excited about her trip.  She was sitting in her office, finalizing paper work when Jacqueline walked in.

“So are you ready for your big trip?”

Victoria looked up from her paperwork, a little flustered; she really needed to get this work done before she left tomorrow. She looked back at her paperwork. 

“I'm really busy now Jackie, if you don't need anything, can we talk later?” Jacqueline didn’t respond she just stood there in the doorway.  Victoria looked up from her paperwork with a sigh and smiled at her friend. “Come in and have a seat.”

Jacqueline smiled, walked over and sat in the seat in front of her desk.  “So what time are you and Mr. Sexy meeting?”

“He couldn't get away early so we’re taking separate flights. I should arrive in the morning and he won't arrive until late afternoon.”  She paused as she reflected on what was about to happen.  “Jackie I'm really looking forward to this trip, I hope I’m not disappointed.”

Jacqueline looked at her friend and smiled.  “You won't be disappointed dear, just go, relax and have a great time, everything else will take care of itself.” Jacqueline started to tell her about her conversation with Kevin and how he confessed his feelings for her, but that could wait until after her trip.  She stood and walked over to Victoria, gave her a hug and a kiss. “I have to head out sweetie.  Have a safe trip and call me.” 
Were her parting words as she walked out of the office.

Victoria arrived on St. Martin around eleven in the morning.  After checking in, she was escorted to the place where she would spend the next two weeks.  She walked into the villa and was in awe.
This place truly is paradise.”

“It’s even more beautiful than I imagined.
  The villa had a gorgeous mix of contemporary styling and Caribbean relaxation. Victoria looked around as the bellboy explained all the amenities.  

“The villa is fully air-conditioned with an open gazebo that leads to the pool area.  There are a few stairs that lead from the pool area right onto a private beach.  There are restaurants here or we can have a car take you to any one of the exceptional restaurants we have on the island. There is Scuba & Snorkeling, Windsurfing, Sailing, Horseback riding, Hiking and Mountain Biking among other activities that are inclusive in your stay if you choose to partake.  The concierge is available to you around the clock.  If you ever
need anything, you only need to pick up the phone and we will take care of it for you.”  He stated proudly.

He walked towards the door, “do you need anything else madam?” 

“Thank you, no I have everything I need for now.”  She reached in her purse to give him a generous tip. 

“Thank you Madam.” the bellboy said with a huge smile as he exited. 

Victoria could not get over how amazing this place was as she chastised herself for waiting so long to take a vacation.  She had traveled the world, her mother had seen to that, but those trips were always educational.  They always had to take the tours and visit the sites.  Her mother wanted her to be well rounded and versed on different countries and cultures.  She had never taken a vacation to just relax.  “Unbelievable!” she said as she spun around and flopped on the sofa.  She laid there for a few seconds before realizing that she really wanted to take a shower and put on some relaxing clothes while she waited for her companion to arrive.

After showering she chose a white semi sheer maxi dress.  The fabric was cool and comfortable just the way she intended to be the next two weeks.  Victoria walked around the villa again taking it all in before deciding to take a walk on the beach.  The sand was white and the ocean was a beautiful clear blue.  As she walked along the beach she thought about her arrangement with Dominic and decided to let go of her inhibitions and just enjoy his company and everything that was going to come with it.

Dominic was escorted to the villa by the same bellboy who gave
Victoria the tour and speech about the villa.  Dominic also gave him a generous tip as he exited.  Dominic locked the door and went in search of Victoria.  All of his initial apprehensions were gone and he was actually excited about the time he was going to spend with her.  He had not had a vacation since he started his business six years ago so he planned to enjoy himself.  Dominic called out Victoria’s name but did not get a response.  He looked around the villa and let out a long whistle, “this place must have set her back a pretty penny.” He said to himself with a smile.  Dominic knew how he would rectify that.

He turned to look at the view and noticed Victoria walking along the beach.  He was transfixed by her beauty, her soft light brown skin glowed against the white dress she wore.  As she walked a gentle breeze blew her hair and dress in one fluid motion.  It was like watching a goddess walk across the sand.  Choosing not to disturb her, he decided to shower instead and put on comfortable clothing.   He walked to the back of the villa where there were two bedroom suites, her luggage was in one and since they had not discussed the sleeping arrangements he decided to place his luggage in her suite, if they were going to be intimate then they didn’t need separate bedrooms. 

He unpacked and began to undress.  Just as he was removing his briefs, Victoria walked entered the villa.  She heard noise and assumed it was Dominic.  She walked into the bedroom and froze, Dominic turned to see Victoria standing in the doorway.  Her eyes immediately went to his crotch.  He smiled.  “I hope everything is to your liking,” he said trying to dispel the awkwardness of the moment.  Dominic worked out on a regular basis and kept his body is shape.  Victoria was totally embarrassed. 

“I’m sorry Dominic I should have said something or….”

He interrupted her “it’s okay Victoria, you were going to see it sooner or later; now it’s sooner” he smiled “let me take a shower and we can discuss what’s on the agenda for this evening” he said as he walked over to her, unashamed of his nudity and kissed her of the forehead then turned on his heels and headed to the shower.

Victoria blushed as she looked away.  “Are you hungry?   We can either eat here or try one of the restaurants on the island?” she asked trying to change the subject.

CHAPTER SIX

They decided on a seafood restaurant recommended by the concierge.  The food was great and the conversation was even better.  They talked about families, their businesses, past relationships and what they were looking for in the future.  Dominic paid special attention not to give too much information away about his true identity.

“I can’t believe you have such a large family.” 

“Yeah, well we are a Catholic Italian family.” 

“So let me get this straight, you have five siblings, an older brother and sister, then a younger brother and a set of twins, brother and sister.” 

“That’s right, Rafael is the oldest, then Maria, I’m next then Marco, we are the closest in age just a little over fourteen months apart.  The twins Francesco and Francesca are twenty-eight.  There was never a dull moment in our house growing up.” 

“I bet.  I always wished for brothers and sisters, but my mom adopted me when I was an infant and she did not want any more children, so it was just the two of us.   I have often wondered about my birth mother but I was told she died giving birth to me.  I’m thankful that my mom adopted me.  I could not have asked for a better mother.” She smiled as she tried not to cry.  They talked so long they didn’t realize that the restaurant was closing.  Most of the patrons were gone and the waiters were moving quickly to clear empty tables.  “I guess we better finish this conversation back at the villa,” Dominic said as he rose and extended his hand for Victoria.

She curled up even closer to him until sleep took them both over.  Dominic awoke in the middle of the night and could feel Victoria shivering from the cool breeze of the ocean.  Gathering her into his arms, he carried her into the bedroom.
