“Stop getting your panties in a bunch. I had plenty of room.” Owen slowed the vehicle down in deference to Nick’s white face and clenched knuckles. “Anyway, I told them to speak to Dan.” Owen chortled. “Who we’re having dinner with next Saturday night, by the way. He and his young new paramour, Justin. The two of them seem to be getting on quite well.”

“Yes, I heard about him. I called Dan a couple of days ago. He seems quite taken with him.”

Owen snorted. “Justin is insanely cute. He looks like butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth with that tight bubble butt and his pale lavender hair but the kid’s a piranha. He has Daniel wrapped around his…I was going to say little finger, but I don’t think that’s what Daniel gets wrapped around too much.” He leered. “I’d say it’s something much tighter and warmer.”

Nick’s eyes narrowed. “Firstly, you sound like a pervert. Secondly, you sound like you’ve done quite a bit of looking. Just how tight is his butt anyway?”

Owen laughed. “Tight enough to bounce a pound coin off, Nick, believe me. He bent down in front of me the other day, on purpose I think, and wow. I can see why Dan likes him. He’s definitely someone you’d like to get up close and personal behind.” He was deliberately teasing Nick and from the frown on the man’s face beside him, obviously succeeding. He tried to keep the smile from forming. A jealous Nick was such a turn-on. He indicated and swiftly drew the car into a lay-by.

Nick looked at him in surprise. “What are you doing?”

Owen unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned over. “This.” His hands reached behind Nick’s head, pulling him toward him as his mouth found Nick’s lips with a need he’d had ever since he saw him crossing the road in town. Nick groaned, his lips parting under Owen’s onslaught and his tongue slid wetly into Owen’s mouth. Nick was a great kisser. He knew exactly how to probe Owen’s mouth with the tip of his tongue, when to push it halfway down his throat, and he definitely knew how to nibble and suck Owen’s lips to the point of driving him crazy.

“You are the only one I want, Nick,” Owen removed his mouth as his hands moved down towards Nick’s chinos, unzipping him.

Nick pulled away in consternation. “Christ, Owen, we can’t do this here. It’s virtually in public.”

Owen grinned wickedly. “Live a little, Nick. No one’s going to see us. I promise you it will all be over soon. I am going to give you the blow job of all blow jobs right here.”

Nick’s feeble protests were cut short as Owen bent over and latched onto his rapidly rising dick. Nick’s hips thrust upward and Owen grinned as he gently massaged Nick’s balls while keeping his suction and steady licking up the shaft of Nick’s needy member.

“Fuck, Owen, you are so bad.” Nick’s gasps of pleasure only served to make Owen increase his efforts. He might not be able to take Nick deep but he knew how to make it all worthwhile. As for the not swallowing—hell, it was mid-afternoon and the two of them could shower when they got home if they got messy. He’d try and aim the come somewhere where it would do the least mess to the car, which was probably going to be over himself. The thought of driving home bathed in Nick’s essence made Owen hot, and his own cock definitely liked that idea. Nick’s hips pumped toward his mouth, one of his hands splayed on the car seat, the other one in Owen’s hair. The sounds coming out of Nick’s mouth reminded Owen of a porn movie they’d watched together a few days ago and he groaned loudly, feeling Nick’s cock swell in his mouth, knowing his lover was close to eruption. For a fleeting moment, he entertained the actual idea of swallowing what was on its way to leaving Nick’s body.

Perhaps it might not be as bad as he remembered. He’d tried his best with other lovers but the feel and taste of semen had never been something he’d been able to stomach, especially with his gag reflex. But maybe he
could
try it with Nick?

Feeling a sense of bravado, he tried going slightly deeper and was rewarded by a hiss and a loud excited moan from Nick that made Owen’s balls ache. But his throat began displaying its usual performance issues.

“Owen, you’d better get your mouth out of the way before I blow.”

Owen ignored him, determined to get over his dislike of swallowing, for Nick.

He could do this. He sucked harder, slavering his tongue across Nick’s tip, feeling Nick’s hands trying to remove his suctioned mouth from his cock.

“Owen, for Christ’s sake move!” Nick’s desperate concern for him made him all the more determined. Owen gave one last twirl of his tongue, gripping Nick’s shaft and making long, hard upward strokes and Nick cried out.

Nick’s groin heaved and before he knew it, Owen had wet, slimy streams of semen coating his mouth, his throat and he tried to swallow it down. But the taste and feel was making him feel nauseous and he gagged, rising up from Nick’s crotch, feverishly pushing open his car door and dashing outside to bend over and retch into the bushes. He stood there, bent over, his chest heaving and then stood up with eyes that watered.

Fuck, that had got to be the most abortive blowjob he’d ever given. How the hell must Nick feel, seeing him puke his guts out after doing what he’d done? Talk about making a guy feel like shit.

He turned around shame facedly, seeing Nick’s shoulders shaking and his heart raced.

What the hell is wrong with the man? Had the whole thing been that bad that he was crying? Surely not.

“Hey,” he said awkwardly as he sat back in the driver’s seat. “I’m sorry, Nick. I really thought I could do this for you, you know? I should have known better—”

His words were muffled as Nick reached over and pulled him into his chest, his body shaking, and it was then Owen realised Nick was laughing—deep, heartfelt, soul-shaking giggles that made his chest rumble.

“You crazy bastard,” Nick managed to get out in between heaving bouts of mirth, “That’s a first for me—a man being sick because he’s just sucked me off. God, Owen, you are just too precious doing that for me. I love you.”

“Easy for you to say,” Owen muttered, his mouth full of Nick’s shirt. “I have never been so fucking embarrassed before in my life.” But he felt the grin begin and then grow even wider as he realised what Nick had just said.

He sat up, loving the sight of a Nick without boundaries, eyes streaming with tears and with no-holds-barred, genuine feel-good emotions.

If this is what it takes to make Nick feel good, I’ll do it again and again.

Owen remained in Nick’s arms and then pulled himself away as the chuckles subsided. He reached up a hand and caressed Nick’s cheek. “Button up, buster. Let’s get home before anything else happens or someone actually does find us.”

Nick nodded, his hands zipping up his trousers. “I have to say that was one of the most entertaining moments I’ve ever had. The sort of thing we’ll talk about when we’re old and grey.” His eyes were tender. Owen’s heart soared at the fact that Nick thought they’d be growing old and grey together. He reached over and kissed Nick tenderly. “I guess it will be.” He started the engine and they drove home.

Chapter 16

That night they were sleepily entangled together, Owen’s head nestled tightly into Nick’s shoulder. They’d made love again in the shower after reaching the house and again in bed and Owen had decided to leave the unpacking of his toy box until the next day. Today had been special and he didn’t want anything spooking Nick.

He listened to the sound of Nick’s steady breathing, mulling over the fact Nick had said he loved him. Owen wasn’t sure if it had just been a figure of speech or whether it meant something else entirely.

Owen was half dozing when something woke him up. He lay still for a while, trying to figure out what had roused him. All he heard was the sound of Nick’s gentle snores.

Owen lay back down again and closed his eyes. Then he heard the sound again. It was the sound of a motor boat.

It wasn’t the first time Owen had thought he’d heard something out on the water late at night but it was the first time he’d really thought about paying any attention to it. He supposed that you expected to hear boats out at sea. But this one sounded much closer than any he’d heard before.

He gently disentangled himself from Nick’s warm clutches and padded over to the window. From the vantage point in Nick’s bedroom, they had a view of the bay, and in the dim light he saw the silhouette of the towering structure of the lighthouse. He also saw something else. The bobbing of a light down on the beach, not far from where Nick had found him when he’d washed up.

He frowned. It was a strange time for anyone to be down there—half past two in the morning. He went back to the bed and shook Nick’s shoulder. Nick stirred but didn’t wake up. Owen shook him harder and finally Nick’s eyes opened sleepily.

“What the hell, Owen. What is it?” Nick sat up, the covers falling to his waist as he rubbed his eyes sleepily.

“There’s someone down on the beach, with what looks like a torch,” Owen hissed. “I can see the light moving about.”

“Are you sure it’s not just a trick of the moonlight?” Nick yawned widely. “Maybe it’s just light glinting off a rock or something.”

Owen shook his head. “Nuh-huh. It’s a somebody. I heard a boat earlier too.”

That got Nick’s attention. He clambered out of bed naked and scurried over to the window, peering out intently. “Hell, I see it too. There’s definitely someone down there. Maybe it’s just a couple of teenagers making out. I wouldn’t want to spoil their fun.” He eyed Owen up. “We’ve done it on the beach often enough.”

Owen did indeed remember their sessions on the beach, sessions which ended up with both of them having sand in their arses and in more intimate places too. He wasn’t particularly fond of it, but when Nick started something, Owen found him hard to refuse.

He sighed in exasperation. “Nick, the tide’s in. There
is
no beach so I doubt anyone is down there making out. Unless it’s in a boat and why the hell would they do that? It’s still bloody freezing at this time of the morning. I think we should check it out.”

Nick considered that then nodded. “Okay. Let’s see what we have.” He catapulted out of bed and hastily pulled on his jeans and sweatshirt. Owen dressed warmly too. It might be spring but it was still bloody cold. Then he moved to the kitchen. He opened a drawer and took out a large screwdriver as Nick came in. Seeing him standing with it in his hand, his lover raised a sardonic eyebrow.

Owen flushed. “We have no idea who’s down there and I’d feel safer with something I can use as a weapon.”

Nick shook his head, picked up a torch then unlocked the door and disappeared into the night, Owen following. He made sure to close the door so the still-sleeping Socks didn’t venture outside into the night.

The night was chilly and thick with mist. Above only the faint glow of a full moon could be seen. Somewhere, a nightjar churred. It was a strange sound, a cross between what sounded like an alarm and some sort of chirruping insect. In the dark, with low visibility, the sound echoed eerily across the water and Owen shivered. But that might have been the bone-chilling air that wrapped itself around him like an insidious blanket. Owen wished he’d put on more clothing.

The couple made their way down the winding footpath to the sandy road which overlooked the beach. The mist was getting thicker, becoming fog the closer they got to the shoreline. The tide was in, the waves swelling and ebbing as they crashed across the cliff sides. Owen blinked as the salty drops bathed his face in moisture.

He couldn’t see much, but he still heard the sound of soft voices further along the path. This part of the island consisted of a wide sandy beach, around which curved a substantial path, wide enough to drive a vehicle on. Nick used it often when he was inspecting the island, driving down from the cottage, along the winding strip of narrow path down to the much wider one then onto a concourse and a dead end ten feet above the sea. He’d laughed the first time Owen had done the journey with him. Once you were down there, you needed to do a very tight three-point turn to head back the way you came. Owen had been petrified he’d been about to reverse Nick’s Land Rover into the sea but he’d finally managed to do it with Nick mocking him that he drove like a girl.

A set of stone steps protruded from the sea up to the “parking area,” as it was euphemistically named. Owen’s eyes widened when he saw there was another vehicle, much like Nick’s 4x4, parked with its lights off on the flat expanse of dirt. There appeared to be no one at the car. It looked vaguely familiar even in the dark.

“Shit, how the hell did that get past us without us hearing or seeing it? It would have to almost come right past the cottage,” he whispered to Nick as they got out of the car.

Nick nodded grimly. “Maybe we were too busy concentrating on other things. Like being in the shower making out. Or in the bed doing much the same thing.” There was a flash of white teeth as Nick grinned. “And you tend to be pretty noisy when I’m blowing you.”

Owen looked at him indignantly. “Speak for yourself, hot shot. Who was it who was yelling out, ‘Use that fucking mouth,’ while he nearly ripped my hair out?”

Nick chuckled. “You have such a dirty mouth and I love it.” He prodded Owen excitedly. “Hush up. I can hear someone coming.”

The two men scuttled over to the gorse bushes, concealing themselves behind them. Owen’s breath made small clouds of condensation in the air and he flapped it away lest anyone notice it. Nick huddled beside him, his face watchful and his body taut. “I seem to recall seeing that car before,” he murmured thoughtfully. “But for the life of me I can’t remember where.”

“I had the same feeling. What the hell could they be doing down here?” Owen whispered. “There’s a boat down there on the water, I can hear it. More than one man, too, from the sound of it.”

Nick shook his head grimly. “The only thing I can think of is smugglers.”

Owen gazed at him, his jaw gaping open. “Smugglers? This isn’t old times, Nick. What the hell could they be smuggling?” A sudden fear swept through him. “Fuck me; don’t tell me we’ve landed in the middle of someone’s drug haul. That’ll be all we need, fierce bloody South American psychos with guns coming after us. Are you sure this is wise? Maybe we should call the police—”
