Blayre's
journey continues in UNRAVELED (book two in the
TWISTED two-part series).
Blayre
Gallagher is not your average eighteen-year-old.
While most high school seniors are planning for college,
Blayre
finds herself struggling to keep a deadly secret under wraps and a dark past
hidden, while trying to control her self-harming addiction.
Things take an unexpected
turn when Blake dies and Paige flees town with her own secrets chasing at her
heels. As
Blayre's
world unravels, she finds
distancing herself from Cole is next to impossible—not with the secret they
share hanging over their heads.
Then there is Noah.
He's figured out the twisted
measures she takes just to make it through each day and he's determined to stop
her from running from him and her past. Noah's desperate to help her but soon
learns you can't help someone who doesn't want to be saved.
As
Blayre's
painful past catches up to her and past transgressions threaten to destroy her,
who will she turn to?
This is my first novel and
it's been a very interesting journey bringing
Blayre's
story to life. There were times that
Blayre's
actions
made me want to shake some sense into her or pull her aside and give her a good
talking to!
As the reader, I'm sure you
felt the same way.
The story is purely fictional
but I wanted it to be as life like as possible. Not everyone makes the right
decisions the first time around. We all make mistakes and that is how we learn
and grow. When feelings are involved, our actions and decisions are anything
but easy.
Blayre
struggles with plenty of issues in TWISTED and she'll
continue to do so in UNRAVELED as well. Love is not instant and neither is the
decision to turn your life around and make it better than what it once was.
Most people have to get to that point on their own, no matter what those
closest to them think or want. This is
Blayre's
journey to self-discovery and I hope you will follow her to the end and feel satisfied
with the story I have brought you. This book holds a special place in my heart
and I hope that you, as the reader, have been touched by it as well. Whether
you can relate to
Blayre
or another character in the
book, I hope the story drew you in as it has me.
Self-harming is a very
personal issue. There are several professional and community resources
available to support anyone struggling with this issue.
