Kate
! Lover boy is here,” I heard somebody shaking me.
“Leave me alone,” I mumbled, hugging my duvet to me.
“Jr is outside the door!” she screamed at me. I got out of bed right away, rushing for the door and sent it flying open. Sam started laughing hysterically. “You should’ve seen your expression. It was priceless,” she laughed on the floor.
I frowned and closed the door. I glared at her. “Not funny Sam,” I frowned and got back in bed.
“Now I know how to get you out of bed,” she said still giggling lightly.
I went back to sleep and was dreaming lightly until somebody was shaking me awake. “Wake up beautiful. Dinner time,” the voice said.
“Leave me alone Samantha,” I frowned.
“What are you talking about?” I heard her voice.
“Babe it’s me,” I heard his wonderful voice say. I got up slowly and rubbed my eyes, seeing Ryan was on the foot of my bed, smiling. “Morning gorgeous,” he greeted.
I got up and stretched, then saw my reflection, making me jump back slightly. “Gorgeous my ass,” I mumbled.
“It is too I guess, but I like your face better,” Ryan said.
“I think I’ll leave you two alone,” Samantha chuckled her phone next to her ear and snuck out of the room into the setting sun.
I groaned and sat next to Ryan, leaning against him. “You okay?” he asked.
“I feel exactly like how I look,” I said to him.
“You look gorgeous, what are you talking about?” he asked. I sat up, eyeing him and glared.
“You’re such a liar,” I accused.
He pulled me by the waist. “You know that no matter what you look like, you’re still gorgeous to me,” he assured.
“You lie,” I smiled.
“You’re smiling,” he said.
“How do you know?”
“I think after almost 2 years, I’ve answered that question too many times,” he chuckled lightly.
“I guess,” I yawned.
“You still wanna go out for dinner? Or are you tired?” he asked.
“You’re really asking me that?” I laughed. “Of course I wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to have dinner with my one and only babyboo,” I smiled at him and got up, combed my hair a little - making it look at least bearable for people to look at then walked out of the bathroom. “Let’s go?” I asked Ryan, grabbing my bag and phone. He nodded and we drove to Starbucks.
“Starbucks?” I laughed.
“Hey, our first date was in Starbucks,” he grinned widely.
“You remember that?”
“Of course. And this is just for a drink because the place we’re eating at is in San Francisco. This should keep you filled for at least 30 minutes. You know it’ll take forever to find parking in the Italian district.”
“Can you be anymore perfect?”
“Can
you
be anymore perfect?” he asked. I blushed and got out of the car.
Ryan met me at the front of the car grabbing my hand. “Awh. Even after a year and a half, I can still make you blush,” he cooed, pinching my cheeks. I slapped his hands away, and he held the door open for me.
I hope everyday could be like this with him…

Twelve Dozen Roses

I’m all tied up and I’m trying my best
To get down, come on girl,
Come around, come around
“Turn the damn clock off,” Samantha grumbled from across the room. I groaned and re
ached under my bed, taking my
phone and turned my alarm off. “What time is it?” she asked sleepily.
“8,” I grumbled.
“What time does your class start?”
“9. Yours?”
“Same,” she sighed and got up. “How many subjects today?”
“Three,” I said standing up, and faced her.
“Which?” she asked.
“Calculus at 9 then Management at 11 and Performing arts at 2,” I groaned, I like performing arts, don’t get me wrong. But Math for four hours straight? I don’t think so.
She laughed. “Good luck with that.”
“Thanks, I need it,” I sighed. “Who takes the bathroom first?” I asked. She eyed me. “Right,” I laughed, remembering she takes forever taking a shower.
I left at 8:30, my bangs the only thing dried with my bag slung across my body, containing some books, a notebook and a pen or two. I walked over to the main campus, which was probably only a couple of blocks away from the dorm. I walked over to the building and looked at my schedule.
I finally found my class and took my seat. I saw a familiar face and she smiled back at me, taking the seat beside me. I met her last year, since we had some classes together but she was taking… Actually, I didn’t know what her course was. We got along pretty well and she was basically one of my only acquaintances here in school. But outside of school, I don’t really mingle with people. “How was summer?” Audrey smiled.
“Great,” I grinned. “Hope it didn’t end though,” I sighed.
“Awww, were there any hot guys involved?” she nudged me.
“Yeah,” I grinned at her. She didn’t know I had a boyfriend, but she did know of my “bestfriend.” Why I didn’t tell her? Let’s say, Ryan’s pretty much the icon of Forbes and they know of his mysterious girlfriend. After 6 months, they started noticing Ryan since he had
started to participate in charities with his sister and his mother and had gone out publicly. Whenever he was asked about his status, he would just chuckle lightly and strategically change the subject. That was bound to get old pretty soon.
I’ve been fine with it, and it’s better. Better nobody knows who I really am. People know me by the name of
Kate
Macintosh
, and as always, I kept my regular last name, not drawing any attention in school. It helped that I didn’t mingle so much with other people in school, it was easier to keep my identity a secret. Kind of.
“Any of them a particular bestfriend?” she winked. I just sheepishly grinned at her. She let out a pretty loud laugh and nudged me again. “There’s a transfer in the business department by the way. He was in my 7 o’clock class this morning and fuck, he was hot. It’s so stupid how they made that no PDA on campus grounds,” she mumbled.
“Uhuh, tell that to your father,” I smirked.
“Hey, I tried. But having a dean as your father is tougher than you think,” she smirked.
I took in her outfit and as always, she was wearing a skirt that in my opinion shouldn’t be legal, and an over revealing top. Usually, I’d start talking about this to Stephanie, since she was basically just like Crystal Dane, but then again, she was nice to me and I wouldn’t start anything that would give me enough
headaches
as school itself. Plus, her dad’s the dean. Add a grimace after that.
The teacher came in and started our lecture. That’s college for you, alright. Lecture on the first day. He told us what we needed to have
every time
we had class. The next thing I knew, I was on my way to Management.
As I waited for the teacher, I decided to text Ryan.
Morning babe; How’s your day?
It was alright. But would be better if you were with me :(
I know. I miss you Ry. *Sigh* I wish you were here
Soon baby girl. Very soon (:
What are you talking about? O.o
I’m talking about you and me. Dinner at 6, what do you think? ;D
Sounds like it’s a pick up line.
I’d like to pick you up around 530, yes?
Of course/
See you
Can't wait
You won’t have to :D
I raised an eyebrow at this comment, and I looked up to the teacher that was handing out our syllabus. We were halfway through the class and I dug out my phone again. Ry! I’m bored :( [i/]
Pay attention!
But you keep on invading my thoughts :(
Look who’s corny now xD
You know you love me <3
I know I do :D
How’s your morning?
Pretty damn well. But it’s a little suckish compared my mornings during summer :(
Agreed. I woke up this morning and I was looking for you. Then I remembered I was back in school -.-
You’re lying :D
You’re right. I woke up with a screaming match with Sammy. haha. Though, it kinda got better because Audrey told me of the hot new transfer in the business department they apparently had years back.
Oh really? -.-
Yup I snickered lightly to piss him off.
Oh, nice. There’s this gorgeous chick sitting in front of me too. She’s by far the most beautiful woman I’ve laid my eyes on.
I frowned and tucked my phone away, putting all my concentration into listening to the teacher. I did all I can to prevent answering my phone and fighting with Ryan. I trusted him, but when he tries to piss me off like this, it works. I mean, sure I really did trust him, but at some point, a girl would get scared that her Noah-like boyfriend would get stolen by some other girl, don’t you think?
My phone kept ringing towards the end of the class, and when the bell rang, I was so annoyed,
that I actually picked it up. “What?” I whispered harshly.
“Why so harsh, beautiful?” he chuckled.
“Oh, why don’t you go call the hot girl in class?” I asked him while walking out of the classroom. Okay, stomping.
“She wasn’t just hot. She was beautiful,” he said matter-of-factly.
“Well go give her your googoo eyes then,” I huffed.
“Turn around,” he said. I looked back and there he was, sitting on one of the chairs, his phone next to his ear and a foot up on the table - smirking at me. I would’ve ran to him but I was pissed off, so I stomped outside making my way to the dorm. Fuck, I didn’t bring my car! Dumbass
Kate
. Dumbass.
I stomped over to the sidewalk leading to the dorms and I started to calm down with the natural scenery around me. Birds chirping, the fresh air of trees. I always liked this route. I was a few meters away from the dorm when something grabbed me by the waist. With the smell that engulfed me and the familiar arms that were around my waist, I knew who it was without looking.
“Why are you so mad?” he whispered, placing a soft kiss on my shoulder.
“I’m not,” I said, unsuccessfully hiding the irritation in my voice.
“Why are you being pissy?”
I shrugged again. “Maybe instead of asking me why I’m pissy, you should go talk to that beautiful and whatever girl you were talking about,” I mumbled pulling away from his grasp.
“I can't believe how freaking jealous you are!” he yelled at me, since I was close to the dorm already.
I waved a dismissive hand and walked to my door, opening it with my key and stepped inside. I took a deep breath and put my bag on my desk. I walked over to my bed to see a bouquet of white daisies and a note on it. I sat down on the bed, taking the envelope, and opening it carefully. I slid out the note, and read:
Innocence, purity and perfect love
Why I love to give you flowers on a Wednesday,
12 dozen roses at your door.
Or even light some candles when you come over for dinner,
I wouldn’t mind to light a billion more.
Or how I like to wake up and see you with no make up,
I’d still give you a ring the way you are.
Or stay up on the phone late at night when you’re alone,
looking out the window gazing up at stars.
So if you’re wondering why I do the things that I do,
honestly I don’t know what to say.
All these questions and answers,
I just like to have her,
every moment every single day.
Why I love to hold you even in the public, you could call it lovely PDA.
I don’t care what city, you could pick out of the 50 states like
California in the bay.
Or how I like to take you walking on a sunny day,
holding hands together the whole way
I dont care if people hate,
I dont care what people say,
cause my love for you will always be the same.
Remember this from high school? Always and Forever. I love you –
I smiled at the note and quickly took out my phone, pressing the first name on my speed-dial. “I’m so sorry,” I quickly apologized.
“Open the door then,” I heard his voice and I quickly ran for it, throwing it open, and saw Ryan leaning against the door frame. I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck. “So, you liked it I’m guessing?” he mumbled against my neck.
“Anything from you,” I smiled at him as I pecked his lips.
“You still jealous?”
I glared at him. “Yes,” I frowned and went back inside. He followed and closed the door behind him a smirk still evident on his lips.
“You know what? What are you doing here anyways? Don’t you have class?” I asked.
“I did and I do later,” he smiled at me.
“Why are you here then?” I asked sitting on my computer chair, looking up at him.
He pouted. “You don’t want me here?”
“I mean, I’m just asking. I don’t want you to miss class,” I said to him.
“You’re still not getting it through your head are you?” he smirked at me.
I glared. Then my eyes widened. I covered my mouth in shock. I quickly smiled and ran for him. “You transferred!” I squealed.
He chuckled lightly. “I told you I’d do anything for you babe,” he smiled me.
“Oh my gosh, so you were in my class earlier?” I asked. He rolled his eyes at me. “Wait, so, who…?” I asked.
“You. Smart one,” he smirked. “You get jealous for no apparent reason sometimes,” he sighed playfully and winked at me. I attacked him in a huge kiss and a huge hug. “You know you’re the most beautiful thing that my eyes have ever seen,” he assured me with a kiss, making me blush. “Lunch?” he asked.
I nodded and we walked out to his car hand in hand, and smiling. I quickly pulled my hand away when we were outside. “What the hell?”
“PDA is prohibited on school grounds,” I frowned.
“What the fuck? How come nobody told me that?” he asked.
“I did tell you. You didn’t care because you didn’t go here,” I sighed.
“Great, I can't hold my girlfriend’s hand. Just fucking awesome,” he sighed and got into the car.
We were outside of the school premises, and he looked over at me. “Can I hold your hand now?” he asked.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed his right hand from the steering wheel and squeezed it. His face softened and smiled at me.
