New Life for Abused and Exploited Women and Girls

Sisters In Service, a Christian not-for-profit established in 2002, works to restore the lives of abused and exploited girls and women in high-risk places around the globe, equipping them to live in freedom and faith for a strong future.

The SIS Strategy: Identify and Strengthen Best Practice Local Initiatives

Overseas SIS intervenes through practical grassroots programs of rescue, education, economic empowerment and spiritual life from West Africa across the Middle East and throughout Asia.

We strengthen local projects that utilize holistic interventions to strengthen women and girls to combat the risks and ravages of abuse and exploitation. We create long-term “sister” relationships with the best implementers we can find to make God’s love known in practical ways to those in abject poverty.

Share Research, Raise Awareness, Equip Advocates

We research injustices that women and girls face and best practice solutions, set measurable, agreed upon goals, provide
learning exchanges for implementers, evaluate, report on, resource and foster programs for maximum effectiveness.

In the U.S., through our Advocacy Program, we compile research, publish and organize to educate people about the hard-hitting issues least reached women and girls face: child marriage, malnutrition, illiteracy, sexual abuse, and exploitation. SIS’s advocacy program trains and deploys volunteers as passionate spokespersons and intercessors for our best practice interventions.

The latest summary evaluation of our labors shows that in one year 37,000 individual women and girls were given the good news of God’s love along with practical help for an area of suffering: rescue and restoration from sex slavery, training in health and nutrition, literacy, discipleship, vocational and leadership training.
