“This is the men’s room you loon
” I said, still nervous that I would be fighting Vampires. “Let me go, I don’t want anything from you and I don’t want to be around you.” I then tried to step around her.

She put one hand on my chest and pushed me back hard up against wall. The back of my h
ead hit the wall and I saw stars and began to slump forward. The only thing keeping me up was the fact she had her hand pressed up against my chest. I felt the other two vampires grab my arms and hold me to the wall.

“I remember the last time I was this close to you Cory you asked if I wanted a kiss.” Irina spoke with a smile on her face that reminded me of that crazy clown that kills people in the
Catman comics.

Irina then walked up to me as her vamps forced my mouth open with their free hand.
Irina stuck her tongue in my mouth as I felt the other vamps grip slacken. I took this moment to take a swing at Irina. It landed perfectly.

Unfortunately she didn’t seem too phased by the blow, but had I look of shock that I dared to hit her. The other vampires backed away behind her and smiled. Irina gave a slight chuckle and took a step back and started examining me like one would a hamburger after coming off a week long fast. At that point I really wished I had something to scare them off with. Something
like a machete so I could at least make them jump back as I bolted for the door. As I was imagining what I could do with it, suddenly a machete did appear in my hands.

The thing looked real enough but it was almost like a hologram, as I could not feel it. Still it suited my purposes and I began swinging
wildly and running to the door. The vampires instantly jumped away from me and let me pass them by. As I made it to the door it burst open and there in front of me stood Nick and Dylan looking kind of pissed off. I swung my wanna be machete at them, and like any idiot they were too stupid in my eyes to duck and my machete passed right through Dylan’s head.

Dylan then began registering shock as I pushed passed him, knowing my illusion was known at least by the vampires. I felt a wave of electricity wash over me and I slumped to the ground
. I could make out a struggle coming from behind me as I guessed Nick found out I wasn’t alone in the bathroom. I could feel someone lifting me up and started moving me into the werewolves infirmary, at least I guessed it was since other than the vampires I didn’t see anyone strong enough to move me that easy.

“Don’t worry Cory, the sensation will pass.” I heard a feminine voice say. As she was speaking I began to feel sensation in my body and I could tell the effects were wearing off. I could see my rescuer plainly now although I had no idea of
who she was. The small werewolf came into the clinic giggling and do not think she saw me yet since I was on the far side of the room and she never looked my way.

“
Jasmeenah you would never guess what is happening outside!” Kara said excitedly. The head dead has Nick’s hands up against his face and is daring him to use his powers and the other vamps has Dylan pinned down crying something about where did they hide someone!”

“Not so loud Kara, we have a visitor” The vampire I figured was
Jasmeenah spoke in a whisper as she pointed my way.

“No way!”
Kara said loudly as she closed the doors and drew the shades around the door. Kara then came up bounding to me with a very happy look on her face.

“So you are going to be the one
lying under Khat huh? You are going to get you a bunch of wolfy wolfy loving!” Kara spoke making funny faces the whole time.

“What are you talking about?” I said trying to play dumb like I did not know exactly what she meant.

“Well you aren’t like revolted by being in here with us like soooo many guys are, so that means your game!” Kara spoke as she twirled around.

“Why would I do that? I don’t want to lose my skills.” I said trying to dissuade her thoughts.

“Skills, schmills.” She taunted rolling her eyes. You have two whole weeks! The alpha gets you for the first four days, but after that you get to lay everyone! In a couple of years you will lose them anyways. What is more epic, going out while sleeping with a bunch of hard body chicks repeatedly, or just getting old and never using your equipment?”

Kara made a good point. What guy wouldn’t kill to be able to have going-
ons with a bunch of women who knew about each other and didn’t care. Further I was guessing the majority were virgins since a lot of them were so young. But I just found out I had an awesome power that I really didn’t want to give up for something I never had before.

“Who knows Kara, is it safe to go out yet?” I spoke motioning to the door.

“How did you know my name?” she spoke.

“Because I heard
Jasmeenah use it earlier.” I said amazed she was that dense.

“Ah so you remembered my name, maybe you are more interested in getting some of this instead of Khatara?” she said with a look on her face like she was suppressing a giggle.

“Kara that is not your place!”
Jasmeenah spoke up, looking like she was boiling with rage.

“Relax Jazzy, I was only poking fun.” Kara said smiling. “Besides I get like
twentiezies or eightizies or something like that. I wont even get sloppy seconds since I’m wayyyyyyyy down the food chain. But I will still get a piece of that azz! You think you will be up for it Cory after having to go through all those wolfies until you reach your prize?”

I just sat there stunned. I really did not know what to say. Many guys I know would say they would be ready and able but I doubt any guy had a complete stranger
hit on them the way I was getting hit on.

“I think he is shocked Jazzy.” Kara said looking at the other wolf. “Tell him how you are going to rock his world in the ten years you have left. Cory you get to sleep with thirty year old women too. Huh, huh, that sounds good huh. I can see it now on reality T.V. Cory wizard boy, the cougar slayer!
WellI need a new name because cats are like ewww, but you get the picture.

“Cory the close is clear.”
Jasmeenah spoke.

I got up as Kara smacked me on my backside.

“Nice butt Cory, I hope to see more of it!” Kara said eyeing me like some sort of prize as I went out the door.

Safety Blanket

I made my way back to my room. To my surprise Summer was there waiting for me. I had no idea how she got in, but I did know she looked way better than the last time I saw her.

“Um, hi Cory.”
Summer spoke looking very shy like she was expecting the worse to happen. I knew she was a robot now and I am sure she knew it too. Robot or not though, she didn’t have any friends and I knew what that was like. I decided not to address the 800 pound elephant in the room and went over and gave her a hug.

“Are you okay
Summer?” I said trying to make my voice sound really caring. “I tried to fight off that lady but she kicked my butt good.”

“I know
Cory, I got to see all the footage.” She said looking at me. “You don’t care that I’m not human?”

“The majority of the people here aren’t human
Summer”.

“You know what I mean Cory”
Summer stated.

“I don’t know what you mean
Summer. I don’t play whatever games other folks play at this school about who can hang with who.”

As we were talking I heard a knock at my door. I opened it up and in walked Ronnie along with the twins. As I knew Ivy could read minds I let her know if they insult my guest I was kicking them all out. She just smiled and shook her head.

“Ronnie, Aimee, Ivy, I am sure you know Summer.” I said gesturing towards Summer. I could see it in Summer’s face she had become real uncomfortable. The principal did an excellent job building her. Everyone came in and sat down.

“We just came by to see how you were doing Cory.” Ronnie spoke.

“I am doing good bro, I kicked the crap out of Nick and his entire crew and on top of that my friends are all safe.” As I said those words it reminded me that we lost Wizards and Vamps and some of them might be their friends.

“I am sorry if you lost someone important to you today”. I said, grabbing Ronnie and Aimee’s hands and looking at all three of them.

“We are outcasts Ronnie” Aimee spoke. “No one hangs with us so we had no one to miss. It was hard hearing about Alpha and Bravo though. Somebody is about to get a quick promotion through the ranks. I don’t think our other schools can spare anyone and it is likely that people from here will will be the new alpha team.”

I still didn’t understand what the big
bother was since to my knowledge we still have police and if they can’t handle it there is always the National Guard. What I did understand was that Aimee was smoking hot.

“Cory seriously”, Ivy spoke. “Is there anything else you think about? I doubt your dreams will get fulfilled by one of us. And I doubt seriously
Summer would join in. Although I am not sure if Summer is anatomically correct or if sex with her would still technically make you a virgin.”

My eyes grew big. I know why they were outcasts. Ivy should keep some information to herself. I was still horrified as Ivy looked at me smugly and Aimee just shook her head laughing. A quick glance at
Summer and I swore she was blushing. The ABC song began to play in my head.

“Well Cory the reason we came by other than to see if you are okay is to make sure Nick
won’t get you.” Ronnie spoke his face full of concern. “He put the word out that he is gunning for you.”

Just as Ronnie finished speaking
, I heard pounding on my door. I went to open it and in walked Nick with his entire little crew.

“
You think that was cute fag?” Nick spoke looking my way. “I see you have the whole little loser crew here with you too. You think having this robot here will protect you?”

Before Nick could even finish his threat Khatara walked in with Kara and some other big wolf chick.

“I hope I am not disturbing anything.” Khatara growled as she was half changed, as I could see the beginning of a snout and definitely a row of razor sharp teeth. Even Nick looked worried as he and the chicks with him backed up behind Dylan.

My room was getting very crowded
now with a fight itching to jump off. I willed my machete to appear and let Ivy know it wasn’t real and just an illusion. As we were ready to throw down I heard the principal’s voice, only it was coming from Summer.

“Young people I do so hope you are not planning on attacking each other. As a precaution to rid you of your excess energy three laps around the compound. Except for you
shapeshifters, three laps is nothing for you. Instead I want a 2000 word essay on friendship and what it means for you. Mr. Price please relay to my daughter that I have handled the situation like she asked. Everyone started grumbling as they walked out of my room. Summer then got up and told me to stay put and enjoy the rest of my day and left also.

CHAPTER 19

Piece of Action

The next couple of weeks were a blur. I was already in good shape because of football but I was now in what they call “fighting shape.” Fairplay, our Gym teacher, was the only one who survived the attack on the school months ago and she was whipping us into small teams. It was decided by the principal that due to circumstances, Vampires and Werewolves were allowed to have their own field team instead of just supplementing others. This occupied both the Vampires and the werewolves as they did not find any reason to bother me for a while. Nick even left me alone for the time being. Just
incase though Summer spent a lot of time in my room which dissuaded a lot of people from picking on me. I did not make any moves on Summer because I figured the principal could patch into her at any time, whether she was aware of it or not. It was business as usual until we had gotten some Intel on an attack on the Vampire compound in Nevada, and the principal summoned us to the park.

“Students,” he began already dressed in his battle armor. “I have from a reliable source that Sonar and his people are going to attack the vampire compound in Nevada, after Miss Cranberry’s baby. He has allied himself with female Vampires and as I bonus for helping him in his attacks, he is promising them a male vampire. I do not know if this is a setup with the real prize being this school’s destruction while our teams are busy. As you know we now have automated systems trained to shoot anyone who breaches our perimeter. The machine guns have face pattern recognition and should not fire upon you. Just
incase, everyone not going to Nevada should stay inside. Teams 1 thru 4 you will be leaving. Depending on the success of this mission, I will have Alpha and Bravo teams picked out upon your return. Your mission details are in your transportation.”

I was in team 4. All but one of us would
pretty much would get the floor wiped with us in a fight with any of the other teams but we had our moments. Each team had 4 members. Team 1 consisted of Nick and his entire crew. I hated to say it but they worked well together. Team 2 was a very interesting mixture, as Irina and Khatara were both on it along with their second in commands Annova and Storai. I figured the principal put that team together purposely so they can fail, so that another more agreeable Vampire and Werewolf could be on the Alpha or Bravo team instead of the toughest they have to offer. This also would create a rift in their hierarchies as a lesser wolf would have a higher role at the school. No one on team 3 had any special powers, but they were former wizards and now were bad asses in the military, each having been deployed multiple times to warzones. Then finally there is my team.
