Over on her big dresser, Mandy had many pictures of her and Sebastian there was even a big
one of them at Christmas time sitting on Santa Clause’s lap in front of a decorated tree.
When her sister Michelle that is one year younger comes into the bedroom and saw her
heartbroken and shattered sister Mandy.
“Hey come on cheer up already”, said Michelle sitting down on the bed.
Holding her pillow tightly Mandy said, “It’s hard, because I love him, but all we do is argue,
about stupid stuff”.

Swinging her long blonde hair back, “Well he is not sitting around crying like you are, because
I saw him”, said Michelle tossing a pillow.

Sat up on her bed excitedly with her green eyes big and asked, “Where?”
“Maybe I shouldn’t tell you, because you’re freaking now about him”.
“What he was with that girl?”
Looking surprised Michelle asked, “You know about her?”
Sad pouting face Mandy shook her head mumbling, “Yes”.
“Well they come into the restaurant, one Sunday acting all in love, specially drinking from two
straws in one glass”. “Seriously, Sebastian was acting mushy, no way”, Michelle shook her head.

Rolling her eyes, Mandy asked, “You was their waitress?”

“Nah, my friend was”.

Smirking Mandy said, “Sadie how nice of a name they both match with the letter S”.
Giggling Michelle replied, “Yeah she looks totally different than you”.
Fluffing her pillow roughly, “Oh gee thanks sis”, said Mandy snarling roughing up the pillow
now.
“No really Mandy, she has long wavy blonde hair, blue eyes a cheerleader too”.

Twirling her hand in the air Mandy said, “Rah-Rah”.

“Look you can sulk or be happy again too”.

Mandy hung her head and replied, “Yeah guess he is happy, been dating two months now”.
“Uh huh, bet she is doing cartwheels”.

“Well of course they moved up further in their relationship”, said Mandy frowning hanging her
head.
“Maybe you should go out to shoot he has moved on”.
Mandy really hesitated and said, “Ah, I don’t know”, squeezing her pillow.
“I know a perfect guy a good friend of my boyfriend”.
Mandy cracked a little smile, as Michelle nodded her head and raised her light eyebrows high.
A few days go by.

Brenda had sure noticed Sebastian’s frown again and said, “Dear lord that poor boy of mine
with his constant break ups”.

Later that evening, the boys were getting ready for work and sitting on a chair by the kitchen
table, Sebastian was tying his black boots when Saul asked, “Hey brother what happened to the
new member we had around recently?”
Pointing his finger up, “Yeah Sadie”, said Shane putting his boots on.

Snarls, “I only brought her here once idiots”, and patting his back Saul said, “Woe down boy,
easy there big fellow see your moodier than usual”.

“Yeah worse, jerks start tonight they won’t stand a leaping chance with bulldog”.
Shane started barking with Saul laughing, and Sebastian kicked his leg out at Shane saying, “You
fool!”

Seth comes walking in fast and grabbed a bottle filling it quick his brothers all grinned, “Gee if a
baby’s hungry look out hold your ears”.
They laughed and Seth did too hurrying off with the bottle, as Shane stretched saying, “Aw glad
it is Sunday our break tomorrow”.
Patting Shane’s back Saul said, “Come on tired brother get ready for jerks”.

Saul’s words exactly, because they all got into a big brawl that night, as usual and Paul Gene was
furious, due to the fact he had to have all four windows to the bar replaced.
Brenda was more upset over the fact that her boys beaten up severely and not to mention a
flying saw.

Furthermore, was shocked that they over-come winning in the end of the battle.
Which was definitely a struggle for the most part and difficult to overcome?

Especially, as Shane was stuck through a broken window and his arm was literally pinned
strangely, somehow in between the big trash dumpster and window.

This had definitely caused a serious delay and his brothers to take a loss for a pounding
moment.
The boys endured sort of a rough whipping and kept on swinging after Shane was free.
The next day and their Sunday break.

Seth was at the mall with Samantha and pushing her around in the stroller and he had asked
Ella if she want to go, but she felt sick.

Many people passing by Seth looked down at Samantha smiling, as a few said, “Oh how cute”.
“My, she is precious!”
While one older woman gasped at Seth saying, “Oh my, are your eyes swollen young man”.
One elderly woman actually bent down to baby Samantha and called her, “Sweet pea”.

Little Samantha kicked her tiny legs and blew her famous bubbles, as Seth grinned.
He with his daughter browsed around the many shops, as many young girls kept smiling at him
and a few stopped dead in their tracks just staring.
Paid it no mind and went buying Samantha new red leather shoes with a baby doll then walked
over by the food court now and right up to the gyro shop.

Walking up to the counter, Mandy’s sister Michelle excitedly said, “Hey Seth”.
“Oh hey Michelle”.
A pitying expression she said, “Gosh you sure have black eyes”, and he smirked saying, “Aw this
is mild next to Shane almost losing his arm.
“What?”

Nodding his head, Seth said, “Oh yeah it’s true, Sebastian was seconds from chopping it off”.

Michelle’s eyes were huge and Seth added, “Yep until paw took the saw away”.
“Wow sounds like a rough fight?”
“Aw they all are, but this could have been tragic, because my brother Shane almost lost an arm”.
“You Wiley boys are known to be toughest around, sure get in many fights, shoot guess a robber
would never break into your family’s home”.
“Nope, I’d feel sorry for the robber actually” and Seth with Michelle laugh.

Looking over the counter said, “My, that has to be your girl, huh, can tell with her curly hair”.
“Yeah this is Samantha she is nine months old”, as she was blowing raspberries holding her new
doll and Seth ordered when Michelle quietly told him some awful news about her sister Mandy.

After his mall adventure, with Samantha that was wiped out, Seth got back home and kept
shaking his head of curls.
Over the horrible news, Michelle told him.
Walking into the back door holding Samantha that was sleeping and standing by the stove
cooking, Brenda asked, “Have fun boy”
“Yeah maw”, and walking to his bedroom holding Samantha.

Putting the lid back on her large pot Brenda mumbled, “He’s not very talkative he appears
nervous?”

Therefore, Seth changed Samantha’s diaper and lay her in the crib along with the new doll she
held.
He stood by the crib looking down onto her sleeping holding the doll snug, Seth quietly said,
“Sure like you’re doll angel, more to come, because my whole life is just for you”.

Leaned his head down and gently kissed her cheek then headed out of the room walking down
the hallway and up to Ella’s door tapping, “Its open”, walked in asking, “How you feeling?”
“Miserable”, rubbing her back and feeling bad for her, “Bummer”, remarked Seth.
“How was the mall?”
“All right”, reaching his hand into his blue jean pocket, as she sat up on the bed and Seth comes
over to her, pulled out a sparkling bracelet reached it to her with eyes big she asked, “For me”.
“Of course”. Taking the bracelet saw sparkling diamonds and said, “Seth this must have cost a
lot”, waving his hand said, “No worries”.

Ecstatic putting it on, Ella said, “I love it thank you so much”.
“Aw your welcome girl”. Smiling with his hands tucked into his blue jean pockets.
Admiring the bracelet, Ella had such a bright smile and Seth added, “It came in a box from the
jewelry store, but did not want Saul to notice, might get suspicious”.
Talking a few more minutes Seth kissed Ella, then hurried out of the room walking up to
Sebastian’s closed door and rapped.
“It’s open”. Seth went in saying, “Hey”, as he had his hands in his jean pockets and was very
nervous.

Silently just stood by the door and with his eyes swollen shut practically, Sebastian asked, “You
need something little buddy”.
Seth pulled his long curls behind his ears and actually had tears.
Aggravated, Sebastian rose up from the bed and asked, “What man?”
Teary eyed, Seth said, “Oh brother Mandy, it’s tragic!”
Chapter 21.

Meanwhile, at the town coffee house, Shane was sitting in a booth with Dana’s mom Jolene
who was crying and he said, “Hey I am sorry, but this just can’t be anymore”.
Shane’s right eye completely closed shut and severely swollen, as he had many deep cuts to his
face, with his left arm in a sling and she wiped a napkin by her eyes and replied, “Yeah I could be
your mommy”.
“Nah has nothing to do with that, age is a number only, it’s my heart Jolene”.
She gives a smile and he said, “I can’t keep using you really, because it’s wrong”.
“You are really a true cowboy, so noble your mom should be proud”.
He blushed, as they hugged tightly and he said, “Let me buy you dinner tonight, least I can do
over our break up”.

“Thanks I’d like that Shane”, both got up leaving the coffee house and on their way out Jolene
giggled asking, “Can we roll in the hay one last time?”
Back at the Wiley home, Sebastian had run out of the house quickly and got into his truck
driving away fast he did a burnout in the driveway.

Sitting by the kitchen table noticing his sudden rush, Brenda said, “Good grief what now?”
Seth comes from around the corner and sadly said, “Mandy maw it’s terrible”.
Brenda looked at him raising her black eyebrows.
Twenty minutes later, Sebastian pulled up into a long driveway filled with trees on each side.

Including a big black steel gate and stopped the truck in a parking lot with tears looking onto the
big building.
It had an engraved sign Southern Hill Rehabilitation Center.
Sebastian’s hands jittered, as he grabbed his keys then got out of his truck with tears flowing and
he said, “Mandy girl no!”

Putting his hands to his head and bent over a second saying, “Mandy!” Pacing around very
upset.
Then pulled himself together, walked up the many steps, and entered the big scary looking
building.
Looking around Sebastian shivered when an older woman with gray hair approached him
asking, “You need some help?”
“I am looking for a Mandy McKinley?”

The woman smiled saying, “Oh yes such a pretty girl, a shame her condition”.
Sebastian stood expressionless and the woman said, “She rarely eats, and has lost dramatic
weight”.
Tears filled his eyes again and the woman said, “Mandy don’t really talk and if she does it is
stuttering that isn’t clear to understand”.
Tears rolling now Sebastian asked, “The kid who hurt Mandy what happened to him?”
“Prison of course for a great length”.

A stone-cold look Sebastian growls out, “Lucky dude to be there not walking around”, he
actually cracked his neck twice and the woman had a puzzled look asking, “Might you be a
boyfriend of Mandy’s?”
“One and only”.
The woman smiled big taking him to Mandy’s room when she stopped by a closed door and said,
“Before we go in brace yourself, for she is not stable you understand it's somewhat hard, Mandy
is really lucky to be alive”.
“Why did he do more?” Worried.
“She was cut deeply from bottom on up”.

Gasping, Sebastian put his hands over his face crying out, “NO!” Leaning up against the wall
trembling howled out, “Mandy”,
“Aw Mandy”.

The woman now had tears and said, “Sick people out there and wanted her dead”.
Leaning against the wall Sebastian wiped tears mumbled out, “Let me find this person”.
“Ready to see Mandy?”

Sebastian nodded and the woman added, “Do not feel bad if she gives you no response, it is the
illness”.
The woman opened the door and just one look it took, as Sebastian froze solid and she stepped
in the room holding her hand out saying, “Come on it will be fine”.
Sebastian could not move looking at Mandy, although it did not look like her.

Long brown hair, was cut short and got rather thin, as she sat in a gliding chair just rocking
and humming.
“Come on”, holding her arm out and taking baby steps Sebastian walked in, as the woman
nodded when he went closer to Mandy and literally crumbled squatting down to the floor.
“Mandy dear you have a special visitor”, and upset Sebastian said, “Hey Mandy girl, it’s me”, and
was kneeling before her.

The woman had been right Mandy never responded and kept humming, as she rocked.
Sebastian could not help it and broke down crying again very heavy, and noticed the deep long
scar going up her neck.
Sebastian just cried putting his hand over his face mumbling,
“God why?”
The woman said, “I’ll let you be with her, if you need anything, I’ll be at the main desk down the
hall to the right”.

Crying Sebastian just nodded, as the woman walked away then shutting the door on her way
out. Sebastian in tears went pulling a chair right up next to Mandy and she never batted an eye.

He sat looking at her with tears rolling and said, “I like the new look, your bob cut is cute”.
Sebastian cried very hard now and she hummed staring blankly.
Meanwhile at the Wiley home, the family was all shocked.

Since Seth told them that Mandy went on a blind date and the person sexually assaulted her.

It put her into a deep shock from the traumatic experience.
The young person tried to kill Mandy by stabbing her even and Mandy is now in a
rehabilitation home.
The whole family felt very bad over Sebastian’s girl, not more than he did though.
Back at the institution, sitting by her side just talking to her and even though she did not
answer back or give any response he kept talking.

After three hours, Sebastian looked at his watch and said, “Well Mandy girl, I got work early”.
He got up from the chair, bent down kissing her head in tears rolling then headed to the door
and turned back looking at her walked out, as Mandy sat with no response humming.
Sebastian went up to the woman that was kind to him and they talked some, as he gives a small
smile telling her, “I’ll be here daily in between my two jobs”.
She remarked, “A busy young man”.
“Yeah, I’m only eighteen”.
“Oh my young workaholic”.
