“How did you get the keys to this house? I thought X sold it. Does he know you have access to this property? I haven’t been here since I was a kid. Wow, there were some great memories here.” Cap wanted to reminiscence
but Moch
a wouldn’t allow him to. “Oh…what…the…fuck…ever, please, you hated this place. We all did. That’s why we left and never looked back.”

“Then why are we here now then? Huh, answer that for me
Little
Miss Smartass! Why are we here now?”
The way Cap talked with his hands and placed his hands on his hips, he looked like he was about to have a temper tantrum. She covered her mouth with her hands to keep from laughing in his face. He looked as fruity as a fruit salad with mixed nuts.

Mocha
shook her head from side-to-side. Just when she wanted to give him a fair chance he goes and says some dumb shit like that. “You are completely clueless. We are here because no one else will be or come here. Nobody comes way out here, so we won’t have to worry about any
one
showing up to rescue Sugah while we have her hear. As soon as my mom gets here and let us know the plan, we can leave and never look back. I hope we get to leave this here bitch right here to rot.” Sugah almost opened her eyes. Boy did she want to fuck M
och
a up bad. Soon, she told herself. Now that she knew where she was, she could phone someone and let them know where she was. She hoped that her cell phone was still in her front pocket.

Once they got her into the house and into one of the downstairs bedroom, they left her alone on the bed, in the dark. When Sugah was sure they had gone, she tried again to free herself and this time she was successful. Moving her
hands constantly during the ride there
help
ed
loosen the rope
,
and now she w
as able to free one of her them
. Digging into her front left pocke
t, where she usually put her ce
ll phone, she was relieved when she felt it hit against her fingers. “Thank you God,” she whispered. When she looked at the phone she saw that it was off.
“Shit!”
Quickly powering it back on, she made sure to turn the volume to silent. She had several missed calls and voicemails, but there was no time to listen to them now. She pushed two on her phone and it began to dial. Coffee picked up after the first ring.

“Hello…hello, Sugah is that you? Hello…what’s going on Baby? Are you okay?” Sugah wanted to cry. He sounded so concerned about her. She moved to let him know that she was there. The
n
she
sent him a text to let him know that she
was okay but was kidnapped by Mocha
and Cappuccino.

“What the…I am going to kill them. I promise that I will be there soon. Just do what they say and don’t try to be a hero. I know how you can be and if they hurt you, I will…”

Before he was able to finish his sentence he heard voices. “She is still out. How much did you shock her? Check the bitch to see if she still alive.”
Coffee knew Moch
a’s voice anywhere.

“No, you check her. I was only making an observation. She hasn’t moved since this morning and it has been hours now. I hope she not dead. I don’t wanna go to jail,” Cap whined. Now that Coffee heard their voices, he wante
d to make them suffer greatly. H
e spoke softly into the phone just in case they were listening. “I’m on my way.”

Coffee
filled Java in on what he ha
d
ju
st heard,
and she was appalled
and confused
.
Why would those two want to kidnap Sugah? She kept those thoughts to herself. They would have answers soon enough.
“This calls for some ammunition
,

she said. They turned down a one-
way street and in minutes
stopped in front of a secret location that only the two of them knew about.
It was the place they met when
things went wrong, after events or other encounters. So far, they had only needed to get weapons from there twice, and each time they hadn’t needed to go to war. Somehow both knew that this time would be different.

“Are you sure you wanna do this Coff? I can call in a few favors and take care of it. You don’t have to get involved.
I know that you really care for Sugah. I care for her too, but we need to keep clear heads about this. The last time it was I who needed reasoning, but you were there for me all the way. I wasn’t thinking clearly and you helped me get through it. I wanted to kill Xavier, Mya, Simone and anyone else who stood in the way, but you took the role and almost ended up going t
o jail. I cannot let you do that
again. I love you too much.
Plus you have your whole life ahead of you.
” Silence lingered in the air between them. “Tell me now, before I open these doors.
When I do that, there is no turning back.
Is this really something that we’re doing or what?”

“I love her
, J. I truly love that
woman. I want to spend the rest of my life loving her and that isn’t gonna happen if something happens to her. I have to go find her.
I have to save her J.
” Coffee wiped the tears running down his face with the back of his hands. He tried to compose himself, but the tears ran a marathon down his cheeks, spilling on his dark shirt. After a few minutes, he cleared his throat and signaled for Java to open the door. It was time he got to his love. They had already wasted time.

Coffee took out his phone and dialed Espresso’s number. “Sup bruh! We have a situation and I need you. It may get dangerous but someone has taken Sugah. Yes…”
Java could hear Espresso asking a millions questions. It was obvious just how concerned he was about Sugah. Coffee held the phone a few inches away from his ear. Once he was given an opportunity to speak again, he informed Espresso of what was going on.
“…she called me. She was okay but we need to get to her quickly. I will fill you in
on the rest
when you get here.
Here
is the address. Come now,” Coffee said before ending the call. Within ten minutes Espresso joined them at the address of their secret location. When he walked inside his mouth hung open like a stripper sliding down a pole. He covered his mouth, shaking his head from side-to-side. “Ya’ll mutha fucka are insane. Who the hell are you people and what have you done with my friends?”

Java was dressed in all black leather, looking like the girl from the Underworld franchise movies. She had her hair pulled back into a high bun
with
an ear device over the top of her ear. There was a belt around her waist full of knives, grenades, and other small weapons
he didn’t recognize. She threw a
black bag over to him and he immediately got to work. Coffee was in the background around a table with so many weapons
and ammunition
he wanted to rethink his being there. There were 45’s, 9’s, 357’s, 38’s, glocks, sawed off shotguns, mach
ine guns, binoculars, handcuffs
, nun chucks, and many other types of guns
and weapons
Espresso didn’t
recognize or
know existed. He didn’t say anything just opened the black bag, changed into the black clothing, and then
re
joined Java and Coffee around the
weapon
table. They formulated a plan just in case Mocha and Cap had others helping them when they arrived. They didn’t want to be unprepared. When they left the secret location, they looked like three superheroes about to rid the world of any villain that thought about causing trouble.
The Justice League didn’t have shit on them!

Chapter 34

Charlotte woke up in pain. She was holding her chest tightly.
Sugah was in danger
.
S
he could feel
it
in her bones
. Richard jumped up next to her. “Baby what
is it?
A
re you in pain! What shall I do?”
She brushed her hand gently over his forearm indicating that she was okay. But her soul was on fire. The last time she felt this way Sugah had been taken from her and abused by someone she trusted
and loved
. Charlotte didn’t
give up searching for her Sugah.
When she found her
,
she
promised that she wouldn’t let anything
or anyone
else ever
hurt
her
daughter again
. She didn’t want to break that promise nor did she have any intentions of doing so.
The voice in her head kept telling her terrible things, but she willed those thoughts away.
‘You won’t see her again and it’s your fault’,
it said. Charlotte didn’t want Richard to think she was insane, so she didn’t show any signs of disturbance. Her head pounded, trying to fight the demons into her mind. They had been there since before her parents died and refused to leave her alone. Sadly, whenever the voice spoke nothing good ever came next.

“Sweetheart, you look pale. What’s going on? Please don’t shut me out
!
Maybe you need to call your doctor and go see him. Just to be sure you are okay.
” Richard wasn’t used to these episodes and was growing quite weary
from them
.
He couldn’t recall the last night he slept through the night now that he and Charlotte shared a bed.
If
she
didn’t trust him enough to
share all of herself with him, he
didn’t think he could be with her.
She was hiding something but what? Was she only doing do to protect him from something or someone? Either way, he wanted to know.

Richard decided long ago that he wouldn’t be with anyone he couldn’t trust, and for him trusting came belong with knowing.
He wanted all or nothing.
He lived that way for years and wasn’t about to repeat it. He became furious
, but willed himself to calm down
.
It was obvious that Charlotte was experiencing some sort to traumatic encounter. He didn’t want to add to her pain.
“Baby, if you cannot let me completely into your world, how are we gonna be together? You have to trust me. I
w
on’t hurt you.
I promise you that on my life.
I love you Charlotte!”

Charlotte was touched
by Richard’s kindness. She found comfort in his words. I
t was now time she share
d
everything about her life
and Sugah’s
with
him
. He deserved to know e
ven
if in the end he didn’t want to have anyth
ing else to do with them
. She sighed, taking a deep breath. What she was about to sha
re would change everything. Charlotte
only hoped that Sugah wasn’t suffering because of her past.
But deep in her heart, she knew that somehow their past was about to cause them severe grief.

“Richard. Remember when I told you about when I was sent to live with my Aunt Margaret and the

family business
”.
Do you remember what I said about Rose and her jealousy of what Clove and I shared?” Richard nodded in agreement. He would never forget. Charlotte continued. “Well, Clove and I ran off when I got pregnant with Sugah.
Even though we were together for many years without anyone truly knowing, we weren’t free to just be together because of my aunt. I later found out it was more to it than that.
We got married and for many years we were happy. He helped me search for my sister, and
everything was good until
Rose popped up. She just showed up outta nowhere
in the city we lived
. I was young, pregnant and didn’t know how to be a wife, so things got rough between Clove and I. He was patient with me
at first
, but when Rose appeared in town that’s when the ru
mors started about him
having an affair
with her
.
He suddenly became distant, changing into a cold person, whom I didn’t know at all.
We had enough problems from outsiders because of our age difference, we didn’t need any more.
I didn’t want to believe them, but he started acting strange
r
by the day.
We couldn’t stand to be in the same room with each other, and our once active sex-life became nonexistent.”
