She shrugged against him, her legs shifting and her hips rising as he shifted and slid himself within her an inch at a time. Now, see, he was so wrong for that, but oh, so right for it too. She squeezed her eyes tight at his girth, opening wider in tenderness and pleasure.
“IâI was just, I don't know. Saw it somewhere. Thought I'd try.”
Khamun chuckled and kissed the side of her neck, licking where he bit her as he shifted up. He dropped his head to kiss the underside of her breast, where he had bit her. “Watched it, huh? So you got a little nasty in you, huh? I mean, I knew that of course, but it's something different in being in the presence of it.”
Blushing, she thought back on when he'd told her she couldn't get pregnant unless she was on her cycle, and since he had been around her without her knowledge, he knew her cycle better than she. He'd told her that, since Nephilims were half-human, the Angel side of her had her Nephilim cycle as every other full month. Her human cycle had her typically once a month where she bled, but her Nephilim four-month cycle would consist of her body just cramping until it got to that fourth month, when she'd bleed.
She had to whisper another prayer because if she had to deal with bleeding every full month instead of just one full month every other four months, she'd jump off the highest building she could find. It still sucked that one month she'd bleed for that full month, but she'd deal.
Khamun's length pulled her back to reality as his slow strokes drowned out the voices in both of their minds. She found herself teary-eyed at the pleasure he gave her as he dipped between her legs again and sampled her so deeply. She found herself coming in his mouth.
“Damn! So good, baby. Come here,” he cajoled.
Her eyelids fluttered close, and he sheathed himself within her again. This sensual calming of the bodies made her come for the . . . she lost count. But she felt oh so good with the many times he'd made her release.
“A'ight, baby, that light seems to be annoyed, straight interrupting grown folks' business. You think you can walk and we can see where it's at?” Khamun ran his fingers through her hair.
Sanna lay against his chest, twirling her fingers around each strand of his crinkled locks. “Mmmm. I guess.”
Picking her up, Khamun took her to the bathroom, where she soaked in a hot tub with him. He scrubbed and massaged her down before lifting her up and drying her down.
She felt pampered like never before while he rubbed her down with nutty sweet oil. She gasped as he cupped her mound with a smirk on his face, rubbing that oil in, dipping into her briefly before dropping his hands.
“Oil of Ruth. It is a special blend used for helping many pains of the mind, spirit, heart, and body. It also used in”âHe blushed as he softly chuckledâ“in easing the pain of a virgin's first night, so there you go, baby. The house you will belong to with my mother specializes in this oil and others.”
Her skin was already glowing like soft gold from their lovemaking, and the oil only enhanced it. Resting a hand over his head and tracing to cup his jaw, she watched Khamun kiss her thigh, hip, stomach, and then rise up to kiss her deeply on the lips.
Khamun moved and headed to this closet and pulled out clothes for himself and her.
She accepted the jersey-soft yoga shorts he gave her and red tank. She watched him dress, his dark cinnamon skin glowing as the muscles in his rear and back tightened while he moved. She had to turn away before he saw how much she wanted him again. The scent of their lovemaking mixed with the seductive scent of the oils he rubbed on her had her heady again.
“Too late, baby. I want you too, and if you keep on, we not going any damn where.” His eyes flashed at her, and a slow, seductive smile spread across his face.
She swallowed, quickly putting her clothes on. She was happy that he gave her shorts that felt like jersey. She knew why, and she was very grateful. She turned back around, and she found him studying her.
His fangs kissed his lips while he closed his eyes and tossed her a pair of black-and-red Nike. “Must your thighs be so damn thick and sexy, all glowing and shit. All right, let's go.” He grabbed her hand fast, entwining their fingers, while she hopped on one foot, sliding across the floor quickly to put her sneakers on.
She watched her man pause in the hallway, tilting his head left and right as he listened for the soft chiming. His amber eyes narrowed and seemed to slightly glow with power as he glanced then hitched his head. “That way.”
Sanna nodded and followed. The voices in her mind returned, and she shivered. She could feel them as if they were in her face.
“Look, I just want to go back to normal. My damn hands itch and are peeling. I can't even get a decent bite of Wada cake. Shit, I want to see if your sis Kali can cook as good as she can type at that laptop.”
“Hey, chump, baby girl can throw down. Let's see if you can do something else but whine, a'ight.”
“I can help fix that SIMMS inventory and Logistics section that seems to be acting up . . . I mean, if we cool now.”
“Li'l homie? We were good when my cousin signed her sig on the dotted line. So, a'ight, I'll type. You tell me what to do, okay.”
“Yeah?”
“You good with finances? We got some backed-up shit in the system too.”
“Yeah, man. Double major in accounting.”
“Word? Ahh, yeah, welcome to the family, man. Kali will mark your Society papers and make it official. We'll do the tests to see what gifts you got. And stop picking your damn hands, homie. That shit is gross.”
“Sorry.”
Sanna stumbled against Khamun's back as he laughed and pulled her to him, his arm wrapping around her.
“This shit is hilarious. We got to get to him a âheal him up good.'” Khamun chuckled.
Sanna blushed, and he kissed her cheeks then pointed to the bobbing light. “It's taking us to the cellars, so I'm thinking it's leading us to the compound, baby.”
“Oh, really, this is how you get to it?” Looking around, she saw bottles of wine, dried meat, cheese, and even documents. It looked like something that belonged in Italy or Spain. It was very spacious and cool-feeling.
“Stay close to me to keep warm, baby.”
Sanna didn't have a problem with that at all as she hooked her arm with his and matched his long strides. She memorized everything as he placed a hand against a stone wall and watched it move. Darkness took them over, and she felt something brush against her backside, slightly going in circles before pinching, causing her to raise an eyebrow.
Khamun smiled in the dark cellar, reaching around her to turn on a light. He could clearly see in the dark, but he knew she was still learning about her awakening body, so he turned the lights on, out of respect.
Sanna couldn't help herself as she reached out and studied the beauty of the murals that decorated the wall. Before her was the history of the Nephilim race. Well, some of it. Pieces seemed to be missing, and it itched at her mind that parts were lost.
Running a hand over the alternate mosaic then paints, she stopped, deep in the cellar and stared. Chipped tiles mixed with intricate paint and decades of dirt and dust seemed to cover a majority of the scene.
An angel blanketed in light and darkness seemed to hold a blazing sword as the glowing hand of a woman touched him. She frowned because the pair was either covered in muck or missing tiles.
“Khamun, what is this?” she said, tracing the painting, feeling faint power under its covered surface.
She felt him stand behind her, his warmth comforting her as he studied the scene. The glowing light seemed to hover over them as their fingers ran over the smooth ridges.
“This is the older section. Pops use to take me down here and share all he knew.”
Reaching over her, his large hand covered hers then moved to trace over the cool surface. “I remember this. I used to play right under this area. The ages deteriorated it. It's so much crap on it that Pop tired of trying to restore it.”
Khamun's voice softened with the memories. “Yeah. This spot always drew me to it. I wanted to be him. That soldier with the sword. Pops couldn't tell me the full story, but I know this story extended for a while in the tunnels. I almost got lost trying to read it all as a kid.”
Sanna looked up at Khamun as she spoke, “Oh . . . well, maybe you can fix it. I don't know. We can go now.” A crease formed between her brows as she studied his face. He seemed to be engrossed in the images that peeked through.
She rested a hand on his bicep, and his power hit her in her gut, making her own sing while she exhaled with a shake and a backward step.
“Something is here,” they both said then shook it off.
Glancing over at Sanna, Khamun took her hand, stepping back as he took her back to where they originally stood. “Step here on this floor panel, and it'll take us all the way. As for that mural, I think I'll work on it later.”
Sanna nodded in acknowledgment, a soft smile playing at her lips. A whizzing zip made her look past him as the bouncing light landed on his shoulder, making her choke on a quick laugh.
The light seemed to be an extension of the both of them, a part of their consciousness that said they had obligations to handle. So they walked into the corridor.
Sanna gasped as it wrapped around them and turned into an elevator that took them right to the compound, where a door opened, and they both stood in a beautifully decorated bedroom with art-adorned walls.
Sanna blinked. She knew that work, and she blushed as she saw a painting of her sleeping in her bed back in St. Louis, mounted right over a huge super king-size bed. Her face was covered, and she looked like a sleeping living statue, but she knew her shape.
“Your room, I take it?” She pulled his hands to rest on her hips, cupping his hands.
He nodded. “Yes,”
Just then a loud boom shook them out of their embrace, and they jetted out of the bedroom.
Sanna's body still hurt as she ran. She could feel him within, and that had her blushing. She inwardly shook her head at herself. She needed to get her mind focused on what needed to be done here.
“
Okay! Marco or Lenox, which one of you mother-truckers is blowing shit up again
?” Khamun bellowed, humor lacing his eyes as he took Sanna's hand.
The place was huge! She knew it was two levels, and she currently was on the main level. Light shined in from the second-level windows, brick, steel, iron and other industrial type fixtures housed in the building. A beautiful graffiti-painted mural sprawled across one side of the building as huge military-worthy HDTV screen/computer sat built into another walk. She saw other HDTVs through the compound, but that one was quite impressive.
“Living quarters are down here. Main level is where we train, though sometimes you can find us training down here too, baby. There's a steam room and shower, as well a restaurant-quality kitchen, all Kali's doing. There are multiple garages for multiple cars and air transportation. We all have training in flying planes, except for Kali. Heights are not her thing.”
Sanna shook her head as she locked eyes on an engrossed Amit. He sat in front of the huge computer typing away. Kali hovered over his shoulder with an annoyed look on her face, while Calvin watched the pair with a goofy smile.
Calvin's magic flowed over Amit's hands, acting as a protective glove.
“Kali must have found her match.” Sanna snickered and Khamun nodded with his arms crossed, chuckling.
Kyo's high-pitched yelling followed behind Darren's fussing and Takeshi's cussing.
Lenox's roaring halted the yelling in the compound as he took control of the situation and put down law. “Look! If you are to be a part of this house, it is your duty to learn
everything
. That means until we know what class you are. You will learn it all. Why? Because not only do
we
have an Oracle-Vessel to protect, but we have
each other
to protect. Got it?” Looking around, he nodded. “ Good, now left, left, hook!”
“Sheeit, Sanna's ass needs to be here too, and âgonorrhea hands' needs to be in here with us. We don't know his class either, my man!” Darren replied in a guttural mutter to Takeshi.
Sanna followed Khamun, who showed her an open room filled with combat dummies and posts.
“I am not a Gargoyle or Dragon, and Khamun has none to teach you, Kyo, and Take, but you will both still benefit from my training, so ... ” Lenox circled and clapped his bandaged hands together. He was dressed in black training pants and a black tank, his hands wrapped in black bandages and his hair pushed back from his face via a thin headband that blended into his hair
