“God wanted to prove that He can take care of a dirty, unwanted child.
He could help me endure the beatings,
the sexual abuse,
and the rejection from my father
as well as from my mother.
God wanted to prove a point, and He did.
Now I have the privilege of telling thousands of people that God can take ‘nobodys’ and make them into ‘somebodys’ for His name’s sake.”

—Dorie Van Stone

At an auction, how is the
worth of an item determined?
Only by the highest price paid.
Jesus paid the highest price possible—
He gave His life to give you life.
This priceless sacrifice established your worth forever!

—June Hunt

SCRIPTURES TO MEMORIZE

How can you know whether
you are valuable
or
not
?

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not
much more
valuable
than they?”
(Matthew 6:26)

How does God feel about us if
we
are
called children of God
?

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that
we
should be
called children of God
!”
(1 John 3:1)

Do we have to change before
God
will have
love for us
?

God
demonstrates his own
love for us
in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8)

If you think God has never
loved you
or
drawn you
, do you know what He actually says about you?

“I have
loved you
with an everlasting love; I have
drawn you
with loving-kindness.”
(Jeremiah 31:3)

How do we overcome our feelings that
we are not competent
?

Not
that
we are competent
in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.”
(2 Corinthians 3:5)

When
we compare ourselves
with other people,
are
we
wise
—or
not
?

We
do not dare to classify or
compare ourselves
with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they
are not wise
.”
(2 Corinthians 10:12)

How could
He forgive us
for
our sins
and the stupid things we’ve done?

“If we confess our sins,
he
is faithful and just and will
forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
(1 John 1:9)

Would God ever say to me, that my life was a “mistake”—even
before
I
came to be
born?

“Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before
one of them
came to be
.”
(Psalm 139:16)

How can we overcome thinking or feeling we weren’t
created to do
anything
good
?

“We are God’s workmanship,
created
in Christ Jesus
to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
(Ephesians 2:10)

Should there ever be a sense of
condemnation for those who are in Christ
?

“There is now no
condemnation for those who are in Christ
Jesus.”
(Romans 8:1)
