Chapter 10

“Do you really not know how to use a microwave, dad?” She sighs into the phone as she leans against her kitchen counter. “Yeah, press the big button and it will open the door…I know you know how to set the timer. I’ve watched you set the timer before…”

She stands up straight turning towards the intercom as she hears it buzz loudly.

“Hey, dad,” She says as she rushes over to the intercom in her hallway. “I’m gunna have to let you go, I have a friend outside who’s waiting on me, okay? I love you. And hey! I’m going to groceries on Saturday, so if there is anything you really, really think you want, just write it down on the note pad I left on the kitchen table, alright?”

Jennifer clicks on her phone to hang up the call as she presses the square, red button on the intercom, buzzing down to the lobby.

“I’ll be right there.” She says into the speaker before letting go of the button and rushing over to her couch.

She picks up her sweat shirt and pulls it over her head as she walks over to her dining room table before picking up her keys and rushing towards her front door.

Jennifer locks her door and hurries down the hall before bouncing down the stairs to the lobby.

“Sorry!” She says as she walks out into the sunshine, waving at Andrei as he leans against the hood of his car. “Sorry, I was just on the phone with my dad.”

“How is he?” Andrei asks as he stands up before walking over to the passenger side door and opening it for her.

“Actually, he’s doing alright.” She says, smiling softly and slipping into the car as she watches Andrei walk around the front end to the driver’s side. “As long as he keeps taking the pain medicine he’s comfortable. And he’s getting up and moving, which the doctor says will help his recovery hopefully. He was just trying to heat up one of the meals I prepared for him.”

“Awe, you’re such a sweetheart.” Andrei chuckles as he sits down in the driver’s seat. “What a nice daughter. Did you make him meals for the whole week?”

“Just until Saturday. Then I’ll go out and get him some groceries and make him some more.” She says, her voice trailing off as she notices a stain on his cheek.

Jennifer reaches up to wipe it away, spreading it over her finger with the pad of her thumb before looking back over to Andrei.

“You had blood on you.” She whispers as she wipes her fingers on her sweatshirt.

“Thanks.” Andrei whispers, clearing his throat awkwardly as he starts the car.

The silence is thick as they drive, Jennifer’s heart pounding in her ears as she watches the buildings pass.

“I got some guys on board, by the way.” Andrei says, letting her know as he curls up the corner of his lips in a coy smile. “More people and it’ll be easier.”

“Mobsters, too?” She asks, turning away from the window.

“Yeah.” He says, taking his eyes off the road for a second to wink at her. “More baddies.”

“Mobsters like to get paid, right?” She asks, leaning her head on the headrest of her seat. “Because I’m not saying anybody…”

“Don’t worry.” He says, smirking at her. “For you, baby, free.”

“Nothing’s free.” She says, crossing her arms over her chest as she sinks back into her seat.

“Yeah, I guess it’s not.” He says, sucking his teeth as he shakes his head. “They agreed to help if I left them my credit card. They’re gunna put dinner on it, so at least we’ll get to eat, too, right?”

“I bet they’re going free for all.” Jennifer giggles, sighing as she relaxes, letting her head fall to the side to look at Andrei.

“They better fuckin’ not be!” He says, laughing as he pulls into the parking lot of the hotel. “I mean, it’s not like they can do too much damage, right? The card has a limit.”

“I don’t know.” She smiles as she unbuckles her belt before swinging open the passenger side door. “People can get pretty hungry when the food is free.”

“Yeah, free for them!” He says, stepping out of the car before handing his spare key to the valet. “I should just count myself lucky Fatty Moe isn’t in town.”

“Fatty Moe?” Jennifer smiles, raising her eyebrows.

“If you ever meet him, you’ll know why we call him that.” Andrei jokes before pushing open the lobby door for her and waving her through.

They walk through the lobby before Andrei turns at the elevators to go down a wide hallway with a large glass door at the end, flooding the granite flooring with light.

“We’re going the utility way.” Andrei says, looking back to make sure she’s following.

“Where?” She asks, catching up to him as he stops in front of a large utility elevator before pressing the button to go down.

“Basement.” He says, stepping into the elevator as its large metal doors pull open.

She follows him in, barely having time to turn around before the doors open again.

“Come on.” He whispers to her, smiling and nodding at the cleaning ladies as they get their carts ready for tomorrow before he steps out of the elevator and walks past them.

She follows him, giving a little wave to the women before jogging to catch up as Andrei begins to walk down a long, dark, damp hallway.

He waits for her, his shoes illuminated by the light pouring out from under the door he stopped in front of.

“Kinda gives you the spooks, don’t it?” He asks, chuckling as Jennifer crosses her arms over her chest.

“Kinda.” She nods, whispering to him as he opens the door to the sounds of men laughing before they step inside.

“Well, look who finally decided to show up!” A man say, lifting his cigarette into the air as he watches them enter the room.

“I actually had to work today.” Andrei says as he walks towards the group. “Do you guys remember what that is?”

“Thanks for dinner by the way, too.” Another guy says, as he tosses Andrei’s credit card through the air at him.

“Yeah, well, I’m just hoping you didn’t bleed me out.” Andrei says as he picks up a styrofoam container from a pile and flips open the lid. “Calamari?!” He exclaims, putting the container back down on the table before flipping open another and finding another to find a piece of cheese drenched lasagna. “Jesus Christ, I meant like Chinese or something! There’s got to be like three hundred dollars worth of food here!”

“Maybe more, I don’t know, we didn’t keep track.” The man says as he brings a buttery, lemony piece of shrimp up to his lips. “The price of everything is going up, Andrei, it’s not my fault, it’s the economy.”

“Yeah, yeah, the economy.” Andrei says as he slips his card back into his wallet before turning around.

He walks over to Jennifer as she stands in the doorway before holding his hand out to her for her to grasp.

“Guys.” He says, pulling her over to join the group. “This is Jennifer. She’s the girl we’re going to help.”

Chapter 11

“Are you alright?” He asks as they ride the elevator up to the twenty-third floor, breaking the silence as Jennifer stands quietly, leaning against the mirrored wall.

“Yeah, I guess I am.” She whispers to him. “I’ve just never, you know, planned something like this before. I never pictured something like this ever happening in my life.”

He nods sympathetically as they step out of the elevator and walk down the hall to Andrei’s room.

She steps inside, kicking off her shoes as he locks the door behind them before pulling off her sweater as she makes her way over to the bed.

Jennifer tosses the garment onto the sheets as she watches Andrei slip his arms out of his suit jacket.

“Thanks for letting me stay the night, by the way.” She whispers to him as she watches him walk over to the coffee pot on the desk before disappearing with it into the bathroom to fill it with water to heat up. “I don’t know what I would even be doing with myself right now if I had to be alone.”

“No problem.” He says, leaning against the desk as he walks over to the large windows and pulls the curtains closed. “I remember how nervous I was before my first big job. I could have really used someone to be there for me.”

“Yeah?” She whispers to him as she gets up from the bed before walking over to him and wrapping her arms around his waist from behind as she rests her cheek on his back.

“Yeah.” He starts, resting his hands on hers as he lets out a comfortable sigh. “Sometimes I still do.”

“Did you yesterday?” She asks, whispering into his ear as he remembers the speckle of blood on his cheek from earlier when he came to pick her up.

He turns to her, wrapping his hands around her waist before burying his nose in her hair.

“I’m not a monster, you know.” He whispers, to her as he pulls her closer. “Sometimes it’s just what you gotta do…”

She nods, watching him as he steps away from her and walks back over to the desk before over turning two white mugs off the tray and filling them with hot water.

“The tea is orange.” He says, ripping the paper off of two tea bags before dunking them into the steaming water. “It’s always orange here. But it’s not that bad.” He says, walking back over to her and handing her a cup. “I like tea. Kinda tastes like you’re chewin’ on a stick.” He says, smirking as he makes his way over to a beige leather couch.

Jennifer walks over to him as he places his tea down on the oak coffee table before he makes his way over to the gas fireplace and turns it on, the glow of the flames dancing off the walls.

She sits down beside him, sipping her tea as he walks back over to her, joining her on the couch.

“Just sit and relax and try not to worry about anything.” He says to her, sinking back into the cushions as he lifts his feet up to rest the on the coffee table.

She sits, sipping on her tea as she watches the fireplace, the pit in her stomach on getting deeper.

“Do you think I’m making the right choice?” She asks, glancing over to Andrei.

He chuckles, shaking his head as he sits up and places his mug down on the coffee table before taking hers out of her hand, too and putting it down beside his.

“You’re really bad at this whole relaxing thing, aren’t you?” He asks as he turns towards her before motioning with his hands. “Turn around, Jen.”

She does, sighing as she feels Andrei’s hands rest on her shoulders as he presses his thumbs into her back.

“How’s that?” He asks, leaning in to whisper in her ear as he spreads his touches over the rest of her back. “It’s great, right?”

“Yeah…” She moans, her words fading out as she lets her head fall to the side.

“Let’s get a little more comfortable.” He whispers, his voice barely audible as he slides his hands underneath the front of her t-shirt, lifting it up as he gently drags the tips of his fingers over her skin. “Lift your arms up.”

She listens, lifting her arms as he pulls her shirt up over her head before dropping it down to the floor.

He unhooks her bra as he leans down to place a kiss on her back before letting the two piece of band go, her breasts falling from the cups as he pulls the straps down from her shoulders.

Jennifer turns to face him, tossing her bra aside as Andrei cups her breasts, massaging them as he leans into her face.

He places his lips against hers as he lowers her onto her back before kissing down her chest between her breasts and over her stomach.

She bites her bottom lip, closing her eyes as she feels Andrei unbutton the top button on her jeans before pulling down the zipper.

He sinks his fingers into the waist of her pants, grabbing the elastic of her panties and pulling them over her flesh slowly as he pulls them over her thighs and down her calves.

She giggles as he lifts her legs up to get her jeans and panties over her feet before he places a kiss on the cap of each knee as he gently rubs the palms of his hands up and down over the outside of her thighs.

“Tea is actually probably only my second favorite way to relax.” He whispers to her, smirking as he spreads her knees apart.

Jennifer sighs as she feels Andrei’s fingers brush against her lower lips as he lowers himself between her thighs, his hot breath tingling against her skin.

She lets out a shaking breath as she feels the tip of his hot tongue spread her wings apart before sinking into her aching entrance.

Andrei licks up, circling his tongue over her pearl before sucking it into his mouth. He laps at her sex as he rubs the palms of his hands up over her stomach, massaging her skin tenderly.

“Get up…” He whispers to her as he kisses the inside of her thighs.

Jennifer moans as Andrei helps her to her knees, turning her to rest the front of her body against the back of the couch as his hands trail up and down her thin waist.

She sighs out, gripping the cushions as she feels Andrei kiss down her back as he fumbles with the button of his slacks before pushing down the zipper.

“Just relax…” He whispers to her as he reaches forward, sliding his hand up and down her body as he pushes down his pants and grips his meat, pumping his hand up and down the stiffness.

She gasps, moaning out as she feels Andrei’s tip press against her entrance before slowly pressing in, stretching her aching walls as he sinks himself deeper.

“Andrei…” She moans as she feels his fingers snake between her legs, dipping down between her lips to cover themselves in her slick before pulling them up and swirling them over her pearl as he slowly slides his cock out before pressing it back in.

She bites her bottom lip, whimpering as she feels her body heat up from Andrei’s quick strokes. Jennifer arches her back as Andrei’s thickness drags along her walls while his skilled fingers cause a tingle of pleasure to travel throughout her entirety.

“Don’t stop…” She moans out as she feels her sex quiver, spasming around Andrei’s cock as he pulls her closer, moaning as his thrusting quickens.

He grunts deeply as he swells inside of her, his twitching meat spilling his seed against her walls as he buries his face into her shoulder.

Jennifer gasps as she feels Andrei slip out of her, his warm cum sliding down the inside of her thigh as he sits beside her, his chest heaving as he pants.

She watches his eyelashes flutter against his cheeks as he lets his head fall back to rest against the back of the couch as she lowers herself beside him.

“I do feel better.” She giggles quietly as she threads her fingers through his hair, brushing it out of his eyes as he turns his head towards her, reaching out for her before pulling her onto his lap.

“Good.” He whispers to her, pressing his lips against hers. “Tomorrow, after it’s all over, you’ll feel even fucking better.”
