Something warm and moist closed over one of his nipples, making his dick jerk. Michael batted his hand away and wrapped his long, calloused fingers around his cock, taking over the hand job.
“Oh, God,” he whimpered.
“Not God,” Michael whispered. “What next?”
He managed a strangled chuckle. “Just before I can’t turn back, I twist my hand right under the head, nice and tight. And then I explode all over myself.”
He held his breath, waiting for Michael to do as he instructed. Instead, the wolf straddled his hips and lowered himself until their cocks rubbed together. He snuggled both dicks in his hand, manipulating his fingers so that they swiped across each other. His eyes had changed completely and his fangs had dropped. “Where do you want my bite?”
This was it. He wanted to say something romantic like asking Michael to bite him over his heart. But then no one would see the mark and he’d waited far too long for this to have it hidden. He threw back his head, baring his neck.
Growling, Michael pumped their cocks and mouthed at the junction where Justin’s neck and shoulder met.
“Need you,” Justin whined, right at the very brink of orgasm.
“Love you,” Michael muttered against his skin before sinking his teeth into Justin’s neck.
The world exploded in a riot of color and sound. He felt like he was shattering into pieces, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. Not when the pieces of his soul flew straight to Michael and wrapped around him. His dick followed the explosion, spraying between them.
Michael groaned and jerked and Justin felt the wolf’s orgasm as if it was his own.
The shared pleasure zinged between them, amplifying until Justin was sure he would pass out.
Minutes, maybe hours later, they lay tangled together, recovering. Justin been wandering around in a constant sense of wonder since Declan had added him to the pack and he’d been able to feel the others’ presence in his mind. But it paled in comparison to the connection he now had with Michael. “Will I always have you front and center in my brain?”
“No,” Michael slurred. The poor man looked shell shocked. “Our bond should settle in a few weeks. But I’ll always be able to know if you’re upset or happy or sad. You should be able to feel my emotions, too. Or at least, Shannon says he feels Gray’s.”
He stroked Michael’s dark hair off his forehead. “Good. I like knowing what’s going on in your mind.”
Michael was quiet for a moment but Justin could feel the deep contentment rolling through him.
“How do eagles mate?” Michael eventually asked.
“They don’t. At least not as formally as wolves. There’s no ceremony or anything, just a promise. Which I gave you when I promised to wait.”
Michael bent his head and nuzzled Justin’s fresh mating mark. Justin shivered, his dick twitching in a feeble attempt to rise again. “I promise to always love you. To stay with you, to be the man you need, even when things get intense.”
A lump rose in his throat at Michael’s whispered words. “Thank you, mate of mine.”
The wolf sighed and tugged him closer.
“Tired,” he murmured.
“Stay up late last night with Dec and Quinn?”
Michael shook his head slightly and burrowed closer. “Don’t sleep well without you.”
“Sleep then,” he whispered. He kneaded the muscles in Michael’s back with one hand, the way he knew the wolf loved.
Within moments, Michael had dropped off to sleep and Justin held the man, his mate, in his arms.
Chapter 7
Michael couldn’t keep the grin off his face, even if he tried. Justin had opted to wear a V-neck shirt to the mating party that showed off his mating mark in full.
“Proud of yourself, are you?” Justin asked mildly.
He fingered the bite and smirked when his mate,
his mate
, shivered. The mark would always be sensitive, producing great pleasure when touched. He’d had a wonderful time experimenting with just how sensitive it would be when they’d woken up.
It turned out Justin was very responsive to it. Michael had managed to make him come just by licking it.
“I wish I could mark you somehow.”
Oh hell, a pouting Justin was always his downfall.
“I’ll get a tattoo across my back saying
Property of Justin
,” he offered.
He felt the eagle’s intrigue with the offer and was more than willing to find a tattoo parlor immediately.
“It’s okay,” Justin said. “But I wouldn’t mind if you would wear a wedding ring. I know you can’t wear it at work, or when you shift, but the rest of the time, it would be nice to let others know you’re taken.”
“Consider it done,” Michael said, lifting Justin’s hand to his mouth and kissing it. He’d never been one for physical displays of affection until he’d felt his mate’s delight earlier when he’d kissed Justin’s cheek in front of Declan. He’d sworn then and there to suck it up and give his mate what he needed.
The party was in full swing by the time they got to the Alpha House. Quinn opened the door before they had a chance to knock, and ushered them inside.
“Here are the men of the hour,” the little omega crowed as if he’d personally overseen their mating.
Applause erupted around them and Michael took a quick second to absorb, and revel, in his pack members’ approval.
It wasn’t long before Shannon and Gray snagged Justin and enticed the lawyer into a discussion about medical ethics.
Michael shook his head and scanned the room, his gaze landing on Justin’s brother. The eagle Elder looked a little lonely standing all by himself.
Sucking in a breath, Michael wound his way through the crowd, stopping to accept congratulations, until he was standing next to his new brother-in-law.
“Hi,” he said.
Rylan looked him over, from head to toe. “You look good.”
He blushed. He hadn’t counted on the fact that Rylan would know exactly what had gone down between him and Justin the night before. But he pushed back his shoulders and puffed out his chest. “Justin is good for me.”
Rylan smiled and tipped his glass toward him in a silent agreement. “It looks as though you’re good for him, too. I would say he’s glowing but that’s too weird.”
Michael grabbed a beer from the bar fridge, remembering what he’d wanted to ask Rylan earlier. “So, I was wondering if the Eagle Council would be willing to let Justin and I adopt a child as well? Justin would make a great father.”
His brother-in-law beamed. “Absolutely. In fact, the process would be significantly shorter than Declan and Quinn’s because Justin is an eagle. And for the record, you’ll make an excellent father.”
A small thrill of pride washed over him. He’d never considered what kind of father he’d be but he knew in his heart he would do anything for his child.
He felt his mate’s curiosity an instant before Justin’s arms wound around his waist from behind. “Watcha talking about?”
“Our children. If you want any, that is. Rylan here has just reassured me we will be able to adopt from the eagle orphanage when we’re ready.”
Emotion exploded through their bond, strong enough to have him gasping. Justin sent his brother a watery smile and tugged on Michael’s arm.
He let his mate lead him past the Alpha and out into the night. Somehow, they were at their house before Michael even realized where they were going.
Justin pushed him against the wall and pulled his head down, sealing their lips together in a blistering kiss.
“I guess that’s a yes, then?” Michael panted when Justin finally let him go.
The eagle nodded and Michael could feel his excitement thrumming through their bond. It made it tough to control his own.
“You’ll be a single parent during my forty-eight hour shifts, though,” he warned.
Justin smiled and leaned forward, cuddling close. “I know. We’ll just wait until you come home.”
Warmth spread through him and lightened Michael’s chest.
“You’ll wait forever,” he said, confident in his statement.
Justin pressed a kiss to his jaw. “Forever,” he agreed.
Right now, forever felt pretty good.
