My chest is lifting and pounding with desire as he aggressively kisses and bites my lip. Just like that, we’re back to steamy, raunchy, spur of the moment heated sex, fast and furious, and I am delving into another height of erotica pleasure.

Chapter 22

‘If You Were Mine…’

Sitting in bed with my journal the next morning, I collect my thoughts and figure out what I would like to write while Lucca prepares breakfast. I borrow his new pen and scribble away furiously, noting events, feelings, emotions, and vivid memories. Lucca returns with a tray of food and some coffee.

“Can we stay by the pool today?” I ask.

“Yes, that’s what I planned, but put some swimwear on today.”

“Why? I thought you liked me naked, plus I would love some kinky frolicking in the pool.”

He cocks his head to the side and slyly gives me a sexy smile, lifting his lip at one end and showing his dimple. “As much as I would love to have you all day long in the pool, we’re getting visitors and your body is just for me.”

“Who’s coming over? Is it Anna? Because as much as I love your sister, I don’t fancy getting dolled up to the nines like a mannequin.”

He chuckles. “I’m so glad you are not as high maintenance as her.”

We finish breakfast, then have a bath together. “Lucca, I’ve started writing for you in the journal.”

“Doc, it’s not for me, it’s to help you. I promise you’ll feel so much better after you get things down. You don’t need to show me, but if you want to, I would like to read it.”

“I could lie here all day with you in the tub. Do we need to entertain today?”

“Yes. Come on, we’d better get dressed.” He kisses my head and lifts me out the bath. He helps change the dressings on my feet then goes downstairs. I take my painkillers, put on the green and gold bikini and a white sheer kaftan top over it with a deep plunging v neckline, and grab my sunglasses.

I try calling Cameron. “I knew it. I’m going to kill him. He’s not charged that friggin phone. I’m sick of telling him!” I throw the phone on the mattress.

“Sick of telling me what?”

Turning around quickly, I scream with delight. “Cameron! What are you doing here?” I throw my arms around his neck and cry into his shoulder.

“Hey, why you crying?” he asks.

“I’m just so happy to see you.” I sob.

“Lexi you’ve only been away about two minutes and look at the mess you’ve managed to get yourself in to,” he scolds me.

“Oh God. You didn’t tell granny and grandpa about my surgery, did you?”

“No, do you think I’m stupid? That would put her in an early grave.”

Lucca walks into the room. “Cameron, I’ve put your things in the bedroom next door.” He pats Cameron on the shoulder.

“Cheers, mate. Appreciate it,” Cameron replies.

“How long are you here?” I ask.

“Just a few days. I can’t get any more time off work.”

“Cameron, what’s happening with Doris?” I raise my voice.

Lucca laughs and raises his eyebrows “Good luck mate, she’s a fiery one.”

“Calm down. Rachel is staying at the house. Do you honestly think I would put that on old Ted? He’s nearly at breaking point with her. It was hilarious, she dug up his flower bed, and he went ape.”

I slap his chest and shake my head at him.

“Is this the same dog you want to move into my place?” Lucca interrupts.

“Ha, well I hope you have good home insurance mate. You’ll need it.” Cameron chuckles. “Lexi, are you seriously okay? I was so worried about you.” Cameron hugs me and kisses the side of my head.

“Yes, stop flapping, I’m fine. Go and look out the back,” I tell him.

Lucca smiles, watching us embrace. “Make yourself at home. There’s beer in the fridge, so help yourself to anything you need.”

“Cheers. I’m going to take a look outside.”

Once Cameron is out the room, I wrap my arms around Lucca’s neck. “Thank you so much. I’m really happy to see him. This is a wonderful surprise.”

“Don’t mention it. It’s your gift of the day. I’m glad you like it.” Lucca nuzzles in my neck and trails his fingers over my bikini briefs. “Hmm I like it, but it’s coming off later. We’ll need to have Charlie Chaplin sex now that your brother is next door.”

“No way, not with him in the house….hold on. What’s Charlie Chaplin sex?”

“Silent sex and we already had sex when my parents were here.”

God, he’s right.

“We could try it out now if you’d like.” He trails his tongue along my lips and puts his hand up the kaftan, grabbing my breasts.

“No way, you’re not seducing me when my brother is down there.”

“What about if I do this?” He unties my bikini strap at my back and neck, freeing my breasts. Before I can protest, he has me on the bed, sucking my nipples.

He’s done it again. I fold, crumble and melt. I’m his.

When we venture outside, I’m a little flushed. I keep my sunglasses on to hide my just fucked eyes. Cameron looks up at me, sniggers, then shakes his head and mutters something.

How does he know? I’m mortified. I might need to drown myself in wine before lunchtime.

Hazel, Dominic and Anna arrive at the front door with overnight bags. “Wow, this place is amazing, Lucca, it’s beautiful. You’re very lucky. No wonder you two are hiding out in this little nest egg!” Hazel screeches when she sees the pool.

Leaving Hazel and Dominic to wander around, Anna struts confidently over to Cameron. I know this look, Hazel has it sometimes, it’s the flirty friends with benefits look “Anna this is my brother Cameron.”

He stands, ready to shake her hand, but she does the proper formalities, kissing him on both cheeks. His eyebrows rise up, and I’m sure I see him grin. Anna has a smile from one side of her face to the other. He’s eyeing her up and she has wanting eyes for him. He does look quite attractive today, rough and ready.

This worries me as she is a girl who seems to get what she wants. I will need to keep an eye on this, Cameron has Rachel at home. Dominic shakes Lucca’s hand in a no hard feelings type masculine alpha male shake and man hugs Cameron. Hazel kisses Lucca nearly to death, I giggle at him while he wriggles trying to pull away then I scowl at her, which she find hilarious. She has no shame that girl.

After they all settle in and we get caught up, Lucca, Dominic and Cameron head off to the kitchen to put out lunch. Hazel and Anna have changed into swimwear, Anna sporting a gold shimmer swimsuit which is cut out at the sides. Cameron’s eyes nearly pop out his head ogling at her and I think I see Dominic checking her out as well. Hazel wallop’s him when she sees him gawking. Hazel has a pink bandeau bikini on, she doesn’t have much of a tan. Maybe she and Dominic have been too busy locked in the bedroom.

“Your bikini is amazing Lexi, you know Samantha and Jessica will be fighting over that when you go home” I laugh at the thought. Jessica loves this colour of green. “You should see the clothes up the stairs Hazel; you would not believe the stuff that’s up there.”

“How on earth are you getting it all back” I shrug and look over at Lucca, bringing food out to the table. I lean into the lounger and slip my white kaftan off but stay lying on my back facing the sun.

“I’m going to take these stupid dressings off my feet, they are ridiculous” I say, Hazel rolls her eyes in disapproval.

The boys bring out cold white wine while they have a peroni. Anna and Hazel get on like a house on fire; I knew they would, so eccentric and full of life. I quietly listen to them, finding it hard to keep up. The boys bring out salads, pasta with beef, tomatoes, red wine, onion and balsamic vinegar, and focaccia. I put my kaftan back on before sitting back up at the table.

While we eat, Hazel and Anna top up their wine, they will be sloshed soon; those two together could be messy. “So, Cameron, what did you prepare? Lunch looks lovely.” I smile at him.

“Sarcasm becomes you, Lexi. Very smart.”

“Lucca could give you some lessons,” I retort.

“No need. I’m officially a master chef according to Maurizio. He tells me I pick up very quickly. Cammy, I’ll teach you.” Dominic laughs.

“Does this mean I’m getting awesome dinners when we get home?”

“So Lexi, did you even get a cooking lesson, or were you too busy fainting and passing out?” Everyone chuckles.

“I will have you know, Lucca intends to teach me. Plus, I have a special gift from Sofia to treasure.”

“Oh good, I’m glad she passed that on. She’s been trying to give it to me for years, but I have no intention of wasting time in the kitchen. Life is too short,” Anna adds.

“No wonder you can’t keep a boyfriend down. You’re so high maintenance. You’re never going to get married if you can’t look after someone,” Lucca chides his sister.

“I just haven’t met the right person yet. Fear not, Lucca. It’s not for the want of them lining up for me. I’m just too fussy.”

Cameron raises his eyebrows intrigued.

Noted and filed.

“A woman from my own heart,” Hazel spurts.

Lucca puts his hand up. “We don’t need the details, Orianna.”

We enjoy basking in the sun, laughing, joking and eating the lovely food.

“Lucca has asked me to move in with him at his home in Bothwell, so you can both stay on at my house with Rachel and Dominic. At a later date, I’ll rent it out.”

Anna turns her head when I mention Rachel.

“I suppose I could move in with Rachel in her flat,” Cameron adds. I love him he’s so obliging all the time and easy going.

“Hazel, maybe Dominic would like to move into the house with you. Then you don’t need to worry about mortgages while you save for your wedding.”

“That’s a great idea. Thank you, Lexi. That would be a godsend and would really help us out.” Hazel squeezes Dominic’s hand and he kisses the side of her head.

Lucca looks at me with complete awe. His eyes are the same colour as the pool water right now which are sparkling in the sun while he feathers those long lashes. I know I’m making the right decision and I’m pleased with myself for being so assertive. This is new.

After lunch, I take Hazel upstairs to give her the tour. She nearly explodes into an orgasm looking at all the designer clothes. “Oh my God, Lexi. This is flipping unbelievable.”

“I know. I feel like I’m in another life.”

She hugs me and kisses my head. “I’m so happy for you. You deserve some love after all these years. I really wish you well and lots of happiness. Please send some of that shit my way because those shoes are the bomb.”

I can’t help but laugh at her waywardness. “What, for you to lose in that hell hole of a bedroom? Not a chance.” She rolls her eyes.

I feel like a chapter of my life is closing somewhat as another one is opening. Its surreal, and I feel a little sad. Hazel has always been my confident, my soul mate, but now I have Lucca. Everything is changing. I grab my journal and head downstairs feeling disturbed and disquieted.

When we return to the garden, Anna and Cameron are in the pool together. Lucca and Dominic are sitting at the side with their feet in the water, talking to them. Hazel grabs her wine, then walks over, throws her light cotton sundress off, and slinks herself in the water, leaning on Dominic’s knees.

I lie back down on the lounger and start scribbling away in the diary. Seeing Cameron has sparked up various memories, and has made me think a lot. Lucca looks over at me and frowns. He walks over and sits next to me. “Why don’t you come in the pool? We can redress your feet later.”

“I’m good. Honestly, I don’t mind.”

He stares at me pensively. “What’s wrong? There is something up,” he softly asks.

I sigh; he’s so good at this. Shaking my head, I dock it to the side pathetically. “I don’t want to bare my scars, which is why I am keeping the kaftan on.”

Softly holding my chin, he lifts my face up. “No, No, baby. That’s nonsense. These people are your family and best friends. You shouldn’t be ashamed. No one will even bother or notice. Your beauty outside and in is far too attractive and that is all anyone sees, trust me.”

“You don’t need to say that.”

“Come on, Lexi. Please, do this for me. You can’t hide anymore. You need to believe me, believe in yourself. You’re stunning, baby…trust me.”

I sigh. “Okay, I’ll try.”

“Good girl, I love you.” He kisses me, and lifts the kaftan over my arms, then lightly strokes my back, causing shivers all over me. I walk over and sit on the edge. It’s a start.

“So, what’s with the Bridget Jones’s Diary?” Hazel asks.

“Lucca gave me it. It’s a way for me to express some things I’m holding onto. I like it and it’s a good idea for me. Saves me having to talk.”

“God Lexi, if I knew all you needed pen and paper, I would have given it to you years ago and saved many sleepless nights.”

I splash her with water and she chortles impishly. Then just like that, there is an explosive water fight, splashing, giggling, and laughing. Dominic jumps in, and Lucca picks me up.

”Oh no you don’t!” I scream as he lowers me gently in the pool. My wrist hurts somewhat diving under the water surface, but I don’t mention it; he was trying to lighten the mood. We have a lovely afternoon and he was right; no one looked at my back or mentioned a thing.

When early evening arrives, we sit on the patio area and have more drinks. Hazel helps Lucca make up home-made pizzas, and he puts them in the stone oven outside by the decking. Anna is sitting awfully close to Cameron lost in chat about work and interests. She’s toying with him and he loves it.

“Cameron, can you help me bring some stuff out?”

He runs his hands through his messed up style hair. I rummage around for pizza cutters and plates until he joins me. “You need to stop this before it goes any further,” I dictate to him.

“Stop what?”

“Don’t act silly. You know fine well. You have a girlfriend, someone you love dearly. Don’t go messing it up. I love Anna I do, but what about poor Rachel? I can’t let you treat her like that.”

“Alright, calm down. It’s just a bit of fun. You know Rachel means a lot to me. Jesus, Lexi, your turning into Granny with all your worrying.
