Mariana turned on the stereo and was soothed by the sounds of Anita Baker coming through the stereo. She walked over to join Scott on the patio and saw he was humming along with “Giving You the Best I Got.” “You know your soul music,” she commented.

“I know my
good
music,” he corrected.

“How did you get into soul music?”

“Upbringing, really. My dad was really into it. Blues, jazz, funk, and R&B. All of the really great artists and not like what’s being played right now. It’s not all that I listen to, but it just really relaxes me.” Scott shrugged.

“So what do you work out to?” Mariana inquired.

“Iron Maiden,” Scott replied. “And Guns N’ Roses. Maybe some Public Enemy in there.”

Mariana scanned her memory. Iron Maiden sounded familiar. “Aren’t they a metal band?”

“Like I’ve said, soul music isn’t the only thing I listen to,” Scott smiled. “Kinda hard to do reps with Barry White in your ear.”

Mariana laughed. “I guess so.”

“So tell me something about you I don’t know,” Scott checked the steaks.

Mariana shrugged. “I don’t know what to tell you. You know everything about me.”

“No, I don’t know everything about you.” Scott corrected. “I only know what you’ve told me.”

Mariana thought hard. “Okay, I have something…”

“Oh?”

“I think UCLA is the best school in the world,” Mariana smiled, “better than that other overpriced college you went to.”

“Ooh…” A slow smile formed on Scott’s lips. “Are them fighting words?”

“Can’t be fighting words if they’re the truth,” Mariana blew a kiss.

Scott nodded. He took the steaks off the grill and set them aside. “Hey, baby…”

“Hmm?”

“I’m going to give you a running head start,” Scott took off his apron. “I suggest you get going.”

Mariana hurriedly got off the stool and ran to the back of the home with Scott hot on her trail. He grabbed her by the waist and tackled her down on the bed in his bedroom. He tickled her body and she laughed and cried until she gave up. “Okay! Okay! Uncle!” she laughed.

Scott got off and lay beside her. “Yeah, that’s what I thought,” he laughed at her.

Mariana turned onto her side and smiled at her boyfriend. She never felt so safe, at peace, and in love. Now was the time to tell him how much she loved him. She had never felt
that
about any man, about any relationship before. She didn’t just see a future with Scott; she wanted to have his babies. She wanted them to travel the world. She wanted to change her name to Mariana Reed.

Still, the words were stuck in her throat. She had learned a few things in sign language the other day and decided to practice that instead. She put down her ring and middle finger, leaving her pinky and index finger up while extending her thumb. If Scott asked her what it meant, she would simply tell him.

“Why are you telling me to hang loose?” Scott asked.

“What?”

“Your fingers,” He mimicked with his hand, “you’re telling me to hang loose.”

Okay, this so didn’t go as planned.
“Oh, I didn’t realize I was doing that,” Mariana sat up.

“It must be a UCLA thing,” Scott snickered.

Mariana glanced back at her boyfriend. “Very funny,” she got up and left the bedroom.

Scott stretched his arms out and stared up at the ceiling. He wondered how long it would be before Mariana would actually
say ‘
I love you,’ instead of doing it via sign language.

“So if I need to get that part fixed along with everything else, how much would that cost?” Mariana listened in on the phone. She jotted down the figure the mechanic gave her and just stared at it. Were cars supposed to cost that much to maintain? “Okay, thank you for the information. We’ll be in touch.”

It was going to cost five hundred dollars to fix a part in her car’s engine. It wasn’t included in her warranty, which Mariana thought was both unfortunate and ridiculous. Still, the part was going to cost money she didn’t have.
She’d have to save a chunk of money from her internship and cut back on her fast-food urges while still paying off her debt, and even then it was going to be a while before she was able to pay for the part.

Mariana sighed. She was going have to take the bus to save money. She had honestly forgotten how long it had been since she’d taken the bus. She didn’t look down at people who took the bus; she just preferred to drive. Now she didn’t have a choice. She needed to save money to fix the car part. She had too much pride to ask Scott for help. He was still paying her to clean his home, and he had given her a paid internship. It was bad enough he had an eagle eye on her finances.

Mariana swallowed hard and researched bus schedules. That piece of humble pie was tough to swallow. Her phone rang and she recognized Scott’s number. “Hello?”

“Good morning, baby,” he purred over the phone, “I didn’t wake you, did I?”

“No, not at all. I’ve been up for a while.” Mariana tried to read a
bus
map and got confused by the pretty colors.

“What are your plans today?”

“I have class in the afternoon, so I’ll be leaving here in a short while.”

“A short while?” Scott glanced at his Cartier. “It’s only nine
am
.”

“Yeah, I’m taking…the bus,” Mariana forced the words out. She still couldn’t believe it. “I’m having some car issues so I’m taking the bus.”

“What car issues are they?”

“I don’t want your help, Scott.” Mariana said.

“I didn’t offer,” Scott countered, “I just want to know what car issues they were.”

“Something wrong with the engine. It’s making the check light signal come on and the warranty doesn’t cover it. I have to pay for it out of pocket.”

“How much is it?”

“I don’t want your help,” Mariana repeated.

“I didn’t offer,” Scott once again countered.

“You wouldn’t have asked if you didn’t plan to help me, honey,” Mariana said, “I don’t need your help. I can figure this out on my own. I’ve been figuring out my finances long before I met you.”

“With mixed results,” Scott replied.

“You’re not funny,” Mariana retorted.

“I wasn’t joking,” Scott replied.

“I got this. Trust me, okay?” Mariana pleaded.

“Fine,” Scott conceded. “What time do you get out of class tonight?”

Mariana finally figured out the bus route and began jotting down bus numbers and times. “Around eight, so I’ll take the bus back home—”

“Oh, hell, no,” Scott interrupted. “I’ll pick you up.”

“I can handle my own, Scott,” Mariana insisted.

“I’m sure you can, and I believe you. But I’ll be damned if I’m having my girlfriend ride the bus alone at night. Forget it. I’ll pick you up, Mari.”

Mariana loved how protective Scott was of his woman. She never had a man put his foot down and establish order the way Scott did. It was so undeniably sexy the way he commanded her through words and through her body. She felt the heat arise in her body and crossed her legs in anticipation. “Okay, you can pick me up,” Mariana didn’t argue. “You know, you just might like the UCLA campus…”

“Doubtful.”

“Elissa, a quick question,” Scott began, “how far do you think it is from my house to UCLA?”

Elissa shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess about ten to fifteen miles, give or take.”

“So you think it would take me about thirty minutes to get there?” Scott reasoned.

“I think that sounds about right,” Elissa nodded. “Why? What’s up?”

“Nothing,” Scott shook his head as he jotted notes, “just wondering.”

“You’re about to take classes there?” Elissa kidded.

Scott was a proud USC graduate. “And you and I both know that was a horrible joke,” Scott smiled.

“Let me know if you need anything else, Boss,” Elissa closed his office door as she exited.

Scott called up his friend at the dealership. “Hey, Frank. It’s Scott Reed. Hey, man, I need to see you sometime soon about that Mercedes I was talking about a short while ago. Yeah, I need it ready by Christmas. Do you think you can do that for me? Perfect.”

Mariana exited her last class of the day and walked outside of the building. It was already dark, and she quickly bundled herself with a sweater and scarf around her head. Los Angeles wasn’t supposed to be this chilly. She hurried along the sidewalk and was about to cross the street when she was surprised by her boyfriend.

“Good evening, baby,” Scott leaned against his Mercedes and held a single red rose.

Mariana walked up to Scott and took the rose from him. She briefly sniffed the rose and gave her boyfriend a big embrace. “Hey, honey,” she smiled.

Scott’s lips met Mariana’s and they locked into a passionate kiss. “Baby,” Scott pulled away from her. “Don’t feel you can’t ask me to help you with bills. I’ll help you, all right?  Don’t feel you can’t ask me.”

“I’m not with you for your money, Scott,” Mariana insisted. “You’re paying me to clean your home and you gave me the paid internship. I can take care of my own.”

“It’s okay if I take care of you, too,” Scott insisted as he wrapped his arms around her again. “I like taking care of my woman and any of her needs.”

Mariana felt the familiar warmth pooling in between her thighs again. She didn’t want to admit it, but she really loved how Scott dominated her. “Okay,” she whispered.

“What do you want to do tonight?” Scott asked.

Mariana bit her lip in anticipation. “Oh, I can think of a few things…”

****

Mariana’s arms were tied to the headboard and she was blindfolded. Her legs were wide open and Scott drove inside her so voraciously that the headboard banged violently against the wall. Her body ached for him and her heat yearned to be touched and tortured again by his cock, his hands, his mouth, his fingers, and his tongue.

Mariana moaned out her lover’s name, begging and pleading for him to let her cum, to let her have that sweet release. “Master, please…” Mariana pleaded, her voice a cross between a moan and crying. “…please, let me cum…”

Scott drove deeper inside her, His balls slapping against her pussy lips. He was on His knees and steadied Himself by squeezing Mariana’s breasts.  “Beg for it,” He taunted her.

“Please…” Mariana softly moaned.

“I can’t hear you…”

“Please!” she screamed.

“Cum, My pet.” He softly spoke to her.

Mariana cried out and grabbed the rope with her fingers as her body shuddered. Scott felt his balls tighten and pulled out, disposing of the condom, and wiped himself off with a moistened towel. He climbed up to his girlfriend’s face and wiped His dick across her lips, causing Mariana to willingly open her lips. Scott began to fuck Mariana’s warm and inviting mouth, watching her lips wrap tightly around His thick cock. He exploded shortly afterward, emptying into her mouth.

Scott managed to untie Mariana’s arms and collapsed beside her in bed. He was sweaty and spent. “I’m leaving for two weeks on Tuesday,” Scott stated as his chest rose up and down.

Mariana took off the blindfold and stared up at the ceiling. Her boyfriend always had a strong sexual appetite, and she often kept up with him. She had known tonight was a bit different by the way he acted. He fucked her like it was about to go out of style. It all made sense now. “That’s one way of showing me,” she quietly replied.

He collected his breath and rolled over to face his girlfriend. “I’ll be in New York for a few days, then Oregon, and finally Miami.”

“You’re everywhere,” Mariana rolled over and smiled at her boyfriend.

“Eh, I need to supervise these shoots to make sure they’re being done right. I didn’t mind traveling so much when I was single,” Scott caressed Mariana’s cheek, “but now that I have you, I don’t really care for it as much anymore.”

Mariana warmly smiled. Ever since Scott had declared her, their relationship became closer and deeper. He was the air she breathed. She was the water he drank. They complemented each other like yin and yang, like alpha and omega. “I can always come with you, honey?”

“No. You’re in your last year of school, and I want you to go to all of your classes.” Scott declared. “Besides, there’s something else I want you to do instead.”

“Oh?” Mariana propped herself up with an elbow. “What is it?”

“I want you to housesit for me,” he directed.

“Sure, that’s not a problem.”

“But there’s a catch,” Scott smiled.

“Oh?”

“Every day when I’m gone, there will be a task for you. We’ll meet and talk at the end of the trip so we can see how well you did and if you followed directions.”

“Tasks, Master?” Mariana was intrigued.

“It’s for the future. If you do well this time around, I’ll give you more later,” Scott caressed Mariana’s lips with his fingers.
