Ryan got up and moved to Davis, hugging him. Marshal smiled and glanced away. They were the hottest couple on the ranch and damned if he didn’t want Zander more because of it. He hoped both men stayed, because they were perfect additions to their little group.

Now, they just had to figure out if Craig had anyone helping him. The man had already caused so much damage to their lives. He hated what Craig had done, but was glad it was over. He only hoped that whoever was helping Craig didn’t surface. They couldn’t take too much more.

*~*~*

They’d obviously passed whatever they needed to pass. He and Ryan were standing outside, watching the horses in the pen. “This place is almost magical,” Davis said.

“Wild Bluff, I like the name. We could really live here. You know, the two of us together.”

“So it’s not bothering you that there were cameras?” Davis asked.

Ryan smiled and shook his head. “No, it’s okay. Kind of funny, actually. They didn’t watch, but you best be assured we won’t be doing a repeat performance until I know no one is watching us.”

Davis laughed and nodded. “Duff said we could move into one of the real rooms with no cameras.”

Ryan leaned against the fence and turned to stare at Davis. “Will you be okay with that?”

“What?”

“Moving in together. You know, we haven’t known each other for that long.”

Davis glanced down to his feet then looked back up to meet Ryan’s gaze. “It’s crazy. I know it makes no sense but I want to give us a try. We can move into two rooms if you want, but I’d like to be with you.”

Ryan reached for Davis’s hand and tugged him closer. “I’d like that. I think we can live together. Maybe I’m being crazy and it won’t work out, but coming to Colorado with you may just be the best decision I ever made.”

Davis moved to stand in front of Ryan, placing his hands on Ryan’s hips. “We have to be honest and we have to spend time talking. I’ve never really lived with anyone other than in the military, and that was just a room full of guys.”

Ryan’s lips twitched up and his eyes narrowed. Davis liked his smile and the easy way Ryan was with him. It seemed almost too good to be true between them. He leaned in and kissed Ryan’s cheek then his nose before kissing his chin and finally skimming his mouth over Ryan’s lips. They both sighed, and he melted against the man, relaxing fully.

Someone at the big house whistled and threw out a catcall. He didn’t pull away from Ryan, though.

“They’re going to keep this up for a while, aren’t they?” Ryan asked.

“Well, we are kind of hot together,” Davis said.

Ryan chuckled, “You’re the hot one.”

“So are you. Fuck, you make me hard with your touch. All I have to do is look at you and I get hot.”

“I’ll have to leave for at least a month,” Ryan said.

“So will I, but I’ll be here when you get back.”

Ryan groaned, giving a little whimper as their lips brushed together. Davis didn’t know how he was going to handle being apart from Ryan for a month, but he’d make it somehow because he knew Ryan would be here when he came home.

“I never imagined finding someone like you, Ryan. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me.”

“It’s weird how we met. I don’t really know what to think about it all, but I know one thing.”

“What is that one thing you know?” Davis held his breath as he stared into Ryan’s eyes.

“I’m yours,” Ryan whispered.

Davis smiled and let go of the breath he’d been holding. This was it, the thing he’d been looking for all of those years. He rested his forehead against Ryan’s, drawing in a deep breath, letting the stress go before kissing Ryan, giving himself fully to their relationship. His heart expanded and he felt light headed. Maybe it was just this place, this ranch, but he knew better—It was Ryan. They were together for now, that’s all that mattered. Once they went through training and came back to the ranch, it all might change, but he doubted that. It was like he’d found the other part of his soul, the missing piece that completed him. Being here, at Wild Bluff was the perfect place to get to know Ryan and to make their relationship work. He was looking forward to his next stage in life. It was totally different from what he thought it would be, but Ryan made it exactly what he needed.
