hard that it was almost painful. Fuck, she was good at that. It was all he could do to not take her right there. “Let’s do that.” He nodded towards the spiral staircase in the middle of the house.

“You have a very nice house,” she said softly as they walked up the steps.

“Thank you.” It was very nice. Two stories with large glass bay windows on the lake side. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Garage space for several cars, and easy access to a dock where he kept his boat. It was more than nice; it was his favorite place.

Isaac pushed open the doors to his office, glancing at Alexa when she let out a soft gasp. His office had the same bay windows as the nook, but they were bigger, occupying much of the far wall. She could see the forest, the lake, everything. It was his favorite view from inside the house. He stepped up behind her, careful to not cage her in but close enough that she could hear him. “People come here to escape from the real world.” He kept his voice low, seductive. His mouth was close to her ear.

She crossed her arms and rubbed her upper arms, but didn’t step away. Nerves, perhaps? Or was she cold? “What about you?” she asked softly. “Do you escape here?”

Isaac looked away from her, back out the expanse of the window. “All of us have things we want to get away from.” Too bad for him there was nowhere he could go to escape. He couldn’t outrun his past, couldn’t run from his future. What he was likely to become. He couldn’t run from himself.

Alexa went to the windows and looked out. She traced the edge of the lake with her eyes. She seemed mesmerized by the view. He was mesmerized by the view, too. Her long eyelashes framed sparkling green eyes. Her lips were soft, impossibly so, but she wasn’t wearing makeup. Her cheeks were light pink – his fault. Whether it was arousal or embarrassment he wasn’t sure, but he was pleased with either. Her nose wasn’t a button but wasn’t too sharp. It fit her face. She was gorgeous, and she wanted to have sex with him.

He couldn’t wait anymore. “Alexa?” he murmured, his voice soft.

She turned to look at him, saw his face, the desire that was there.

He had never wanted anyone the way he wanted her.

“Take me,” she whispered, standing on her tiptoes and winding her arms around his shoulders. Then she kissed him, their mouths moving together. This was slow, lazy, but with a heat that built within him.

He could smell her, he could feel her. She smelled like something light and fruity, probably her shampoo. It drove him crazy. He tilted his head to the side, felt her follow, and the kiss deepened. He could fuck her with his tongue, feel her whimper underneath him. Oh God, he had missed this. He had missed her, missed this, and it had only been a few days.

Her hands were on him, pulling up his shirt until they had to separate so he could yank it off. He threw it off to the side, his mouth latching back onto hers. He went to her blouse, started undoing the buttons, and she stopped, breaking the kiss.

“Let me do it.” Her hands were on his.

He stopped, searching her eyes. There was fear there, apprehension dueling with the lust, the want. “Okay.” He would have preferred her naked, would have preferred her tits where he could get them easily, but if she didn’t want to take her shirt off, he could work around it. “You’re gorgeous.” His lips skimmed her cheek, and he kissed his way up to the sensitive spot just underneath her ear.

“You’re distracting,” she muttered, undoing the top buttons of her shirt. She undid her bra, tugged it off. Bared herself to him.

Oh yes, he could deal with that.

For a moment he turned away from her, tugging the plush armchair so it faced away from the lake. So when she sank onto him, rode him until she cried out, she could see all of him, even if she didn’t know it. “Come here.”

She yanked off her shoes and then her jeans without preamble.

So she wasn’t shy, then. Then why –

He forgot what he was supposed to be thinking when she climbed onto his lap, her hot pussy pressed against his hard cock as she twined her arms around him. “You’ve been a bad boy,” she murmured into his ear.

He looked at her, cocked his head to the side. “So you’re going to punish me?” Heat was pulsing through him in waves every time she rocked against him, every time she settled. It was delicious friction, his sensitive cock against the rough fabric of his jeans.

She leaned down and rubbed her palm over the bulge in his pants, kissing his neck at the same time.

He groaned, his head going back against the armchair. “Fuck, Alexa.”

“That’s the point.” She kissed his neck again and again, soft, delicate kisses that made him burn with need.

He slid a hand down her and cupped her hot, wet pussy. “You’re so wet.” She moaned as he slid his hand under her panties, used a single torturous finger to stroke her sex. “You’re so wet for me.”

“I am,” she breathed, her head tilting forward onto his shoulder. He leaned forward, dislodging her to draw one of her nipples into his mouth. She had the best breasts he had ever seen, with perky nipples that were begging to be sucked and nibbled. She whimpered as he grazed her nipple with his teeth. He circled her clit with his finger, and she quaked underneath him. So close to the edge already.

He couldn’t stand it anymore. “I’m going to take you,” he murmured, lifting his eyes to meet her. Her cheeks were flushed, the pink extending down her neck and to her upper chest. Her eyes were dazed from arousal, her breathing fast. She was so fucking gorgeous. “You’re beautiful like this, all coming apart under me.”

She bit her lip, stifling a whimper, her hands still around his shoulder.

“Take my cock out and fuck yourself on it.” He tilted his head to the side, raised an eyebrow, challenging.

She closed her eyes briefly, then opened them again, and there was amusement there. “You’re making me do all the work, then?” Despite her amusement her hands were already on his fly, unzipping him and pulling him out of his boxers. It was awkward, given the jeans, but he didn’t care. He just wanted to be inside her tight pussy.

“It’s a privilege.” He winked. “Condom’s over there.”

She laughed, then grabbed the condom, rolling it on him with only a tiny bit of hesitation. Then she shifted, pulling aside her panties so she could slide down onto him. She tilted her head back, biting her lip, stopping with just the tip in. “You’re so tight,” he groaned, his hands on her hips.

“It’s not my fault you’re so big,” she retorted, inhaling sharply as she sank further down.

He hissed, feeling the way she clenched around him. “You like it.”

She leaned forward and kissed him, long and deep. “I do.”

Isaac shifted in his chair, angling himself so he could thrust up into her but she shook her head. “What?”

She looked at him. “I get to do the work.” She kissed him again and then rocked back and forth, sending shockwaves of pleasure from his cock through the rest of his body.

He leaned forward and sucked her nipple into his mouth, licking his tongue over the sensitive bud. She groaned, started moving up and down, riding his cock. He let go of her breast, buried his head in her neck even as she moved, sucking and licking and biting.

She whimpered, her arms clenching around his neck as she started to move faster. “Isaac –”

“You’re so good at this, Alexa.” He kissed the side of her neck, starting to buck his hips despite trying to stay still. He couldn’t. She was driving him crazy, her wet heat clenching around him as she rode him.

“You’re not bad yourself,” she breathed, her voice starting to break as her body started to unravel. She cried out, seating herself deeply on him, tossing her head back.

As her pussy clenched around him he thrust into her once, twice more, chasing the cliff of his climax. When he came it was like the world had exploded, like all he knew was her scent, the feel of her body on his. He could feel the fluttering of her inner muscles around him, feel how she had nothing left in her.

She collapsed against him, her breathing slow and steady as she tucked her head into the crook of his neck. “Well.” Her voice was languid, lazy.

“Good?” Isaac stroked her hair. He didn’t mind the brief post-coital glow, not with her. She was sated with his cock, all fucked out. It was oddly endearing.

“Do we have to do work now?” She sighed, looked over at his computer.

He didn’t want to leave the chair either, didn’t want to leave the little world they had built for a moment. “We should probably shower.”

She tensed up, something that was easy to feel with his arms wrapped around her. “I’ll go clean myself up.” She got off of him, wincing when his cock slid out of her. “Where’s the bathroom?”

“Down the hall to the right.” He pointed, watching her, baffled. They had screwed how many times but a shower was out of the equation?

She picked up her bra, buttoned up her shirt, and disappeared out of the office.

Well. Okay.

Still running on half-cylinders after a fucking fantastic orgasm, he took off the condom, tied it, and tossed it into the trash. He tucked himself in his jeans, grabbed his shirt, and headed down the hallway to his bedroom with his private bathroom. He could see the light on underneath the door to the guest bathroom, knew that Alexa was still there.

Why did she interest him so much? Why couldn’t he let her go? He was long past one and done, but the last thing on his mind was breaking things off. Later. He could do it later. For now he would bask in what he had. There was nothing wrong with enjoying life for a while longer, was there?

He cleaned himself up and then headed back to the office.

I
saac stood
behind Alexa’s chair, leaning over her so he could pull up the right software. “My laptop is set up for the EMR system, and the hospital server,” he said, logging into it. It had been part of his contract with the hospital, allowing him secure outside access to the electronic medical records. Most of the doctors could, that way they could finish up their charting after they left. As a partner of his ER’s corporation, it allowed him access to do his administrative duties too.

“Go ahead and log in.” His hand skimmed her shoulders as he straightened up. “You’re in charge.”

She raised an eyebrow in his direction, but there was a smile on her face. Then she pulled up her software and logged in, her green eyes intent on her work. “Does your Ellie make lunch, too?”

“And dinner.” He pulled the second chair out from the far corner of the room and settled it next to her. “She’s quite talented.”

Alexa’s fingers had paused on the keys, and her eyes had closed. Then she opened them and started typing again as if nothing had happened.

He slowed his movements, studying her as she started clicking around in her software. She spooked easily. Interesting. There were plenty of reasons for someone to be easy to startle, but what was hers? Bad boyfriend? Bad family? God knows he had seen enough of those in the ER. She didn’t have a problem during sex, except for keeping her shirt on. It was a mystery, and he didn’t normally like those. But Alexa was different.

He settled close to her, so close that their thighs brushed.

“I can't breathe with you that close,” she said, her gaze focused on the screen.

There. That was her limit. He shifted his chair so his thigh couldn’t touch hers, but he could still see the screen and work. It was easier than he thought it would be to work, to not get distracted by the jasmine scent of her perfume. The way he could see the top of her tits in her bra. It would be so easy to slip a hand down her shirt, cup her –

“Are you paying attention?” She was looking at him with raised eyebrows, obviously mid-explaining what they were doing.

“I am paying attention to you.” He smiled his most charming, sexy smile, and was rewarded with a blush.

“Look at the computer, not at me.” Her tone was chiding, but she couldn’t hide a pleased grin.

It made his heart beat faster; made something unpleasantly like happiness radiate through him. He liked that he made her smile. He liked that he could tease her and make her blush.

“The computer!” Alexa pointed more aggressively to the screen.

“Yes, boss.” He winked, slid his arm over her shoulder and drew her close, then listened as she started to talk.

One by one they went through her cold cases. Cancer. Heart attacks. Appendicitis. Penetrating trauma. Drug overdoses. Embolisms. The cases they covered consisted of almost the entire spectrum of things he would see in the ER in a month.

While they talked she constantly scribbled on a pad of paper, one on the other side of her, away from him. So she was left handed, then. Then he caught sight of the title of the list.

“Does that say Sunday on it?” He raised an eyebrow. They had five more cases to go.

She scowled at him, her cheeks pink, and covered the notepad with her hand. “You're not supposed to look at that.”

“You’re working tomorrow?”.

“I work a lot.” She turned her attention back to the computer.

“You might want to take tomorrow off.”

“I can’t, but thanks for the input.” She looked at him, her expression a mixture of nervous and skeptical. “Why?”

“You’ll be a bit sore, after today.” He leaned in, his breath tickling her ear. “Remember those three hours of fun you promised me?”

And he could practically see her brain go straight down the gutter. Her eyes widened, her cheeks flushed pink. Even her ears were turning pink. “Naughty girl.” He pressed a kiss to the side of her head, then turned to the computer.

“Am I going to regret this?” Alexa muttered.

“Multiple times,” he assured her. His smile was wicked.

She squirmed in her chair, and the blush began spreading down her neck, too.

Good.

Finally they closed the last file. It was two hours past noon and his stomach was rumbling. Breakfast was a faint memory.

“Can we go see the lake?” Alexa looked at him, apparently no longer bothered by the fact he had nearly pulled her onto his lap. Between his arm over her shoulder and his thigh pressed against hers, he had been so very close to doing that exact thing.
