He had let the power completely go to his head. He had turned arrogant; she hated that. If she could throw up, she would have. She kills people, scares them but never tortures them.

That is what Lorcan had done. He had caused them unbearable pain with no mercy or remorse. She remembered when she was younger and she had broken her wrist. The pain, back then, felt unbearable. The sound of the bone snapping had made her pass out.

She couldn’t begin to imagine how that would feel, if it was all of you bones being crushed. She looked down to their bodies sorrowfully. She tried to capture Cecile’s attention, but she seemed as if she was in her own world. Daydreaming, she was simply concentrating on a spot on the wall.

Witches and warlocks walked in the hall. They all looked at the dead bodies of their former leaders and gasped in horror. The room filled quickly there must have been sixty maybe more witches and warlocks. There was a loud echo of rushed whispers.

“Friends, as you can see Tokala and Rosina are dead. They did not agree to step down from their thrones. I am now your new leader, and you will serve me.” He stood up and opened his arms as if to welcome them. A young witch stepped forward, looking amused.

“Lorcan please, you do not rule us.” She said smirking. Laughter filled the room. Angrily Lorcan lifted her off the ground and snapped her neck, like he did with the elders. Everyone’s eyes followed her lifeless corpse as it was thrown to the side of the hall carelessly. Silence protruded throughout the hall.

“Does an
yone else have anything to say?”

He looked around. No one moved or said anything. They just looked at the corpses of their fallen friends.

“Good, now you’re probably wondering what happened? You see I have gathered more power than any of you can imagine, and I am now immortal. The young woman sitting next to me is Elizabeth, and she will be my bride. You will all treat her as your queen, is this understood.”

Whenever he said bride it gave her goose bumps, and not in a good way. A man in the crowd stepped forward and shot a hex at Lorcan, but it did nothing to him.

The other witches and warlocks joined in, throwing spells and muttering hexes. But they just bounced off of him.

They all rose off the ground at once; he threw his
hands in the air and laughed.

“Again, I will kill you all here and now. You can either bow to me and accept me as your leader, or die.”

He dropped them all to the floor; they looked at him and knelt on the ground, and bowed.

“Good, that’s better. Now friends, I have a task for you. You need to gather all of your friends and family to the house. I want every warlock and witch in existence in this house by tomorrow. So please go and get them, and if you decide to run, then I will hunt you and kill you. Do you understand?” They all agreed and headed out of the door, whispering to each other as they walked down the staircase. The sound of their quiet sobbing echoed in their ears.

“Now Elizabeth, let me show you to your room.” He put his arm around her waist. She had to admit that it was comforting to know that out of everyone, he chose only her to care about. He loved only her, and she felt superior. She knew it was selfish, but she couldn’t help it, it felt nice. So she followed him eagerly to her quarters.

He opened up the double doors, and she stood there with her mouth opened. The room was beautiful. It had a four post bed, with golden drapes. The bed was covered in someone else’s clothes. She looked at the unattractive patterned bed set, and decided that would be the first thing to go. The dressing table was huge, made of oak, with a long mirror encased in white marble.

The wardrobe reached across the entirety of the far wall and had full length mirrors going down. This room was one of the grandest she had ever seen, yes fit for a queen. Lorcan closed the door behind her, and she looked around. She needed to clear all the clothes and pictures out of the room. She looked closely at the pictures, and they were of a woman; young and quite pretty with a strong looking man.

She quickly realized these are old pictures of the now deceased former rulers that Lorcan had killed. She sat down on the bed, pushing the clothes on the floor, and laid back. She needed to let this all sink in. Ok, so she had lost Jordan, he is now dead because of her.

And she is now bound to spend eternity with the now immortal all powerful Lorcan, who she now knows has always been in love with her. Cecile is still human and is bound to die soon from old age, and does not want to be immortal.

She looked around and decided she liked it here and may even enjoy being a queen of a sort. But she didn’t want to marry him; she doesn’t love him, even if her life would be good with him. She thought of Jordan, and she wished he was here.

She began to weep into the pillow. She wasn’t sure why she felt so strongly towards Jordan. After all she had only spent a short time with him, but she missed him terribly.

Elizabeth could hear men’s voices coming from outside her door. She wiped the tears from her face and walked to over to the door. She hovered there and listened to the men talking. They were speaking in Egyptian, which strangely enough was one of the few languages Elizabeth didn’t know.

She opened the swung open the door and saw two men, one stood by each side. She guessed Lorcan had placed them there to keep a watch over her, pathetic, she thought. He does not trust me at all, she thought. To be fair he has a good reason, she’s not the most loyal person. The men stopped talking when they saw her and stared down to Elizabeth, making her uncomfortable.

“I’m going to go and find Lorcan.” She said sternly. She wasn’t sure if they understood her, but they nodded their heads anyway.  One pushed out his hand in front of her stopping her from going any further.

“LET  ... ME... OUT!” she screamed, but there was some sort of shield on the door, it wouldn’t let her leave. In fact, it was the same as the shield that prevented her from saving Jordan that night.

She quickly realized. How had she not seen it before? It was the shield preventing her from saving Jordan that night; it was Lorcan. She could feel the hatred bubble inside her; she hated him and wanted him dead. She turned to one of the men with a venomous look
.

“Get me L
orcan, “NOW!” she demanded then slammed the door on their surprised faces. She threw a book at the window smashing it and went to put her hand through it, but the shield was on the windows.

“That retched…
horrible pig.” She said aloud as she sat on the edge of the bed, trying to calm herself down. The door flew open.

“You wanted to see me?” It was Lorcan; he looked anxious. She used every ounce of restraint that she had to stop herself from lunging for his throat.

She knew the only way to get him, was to wait, at least until she was alone with him. That way she could catch him off guard, but she needed to figure out a way to kill him first.

Lorcan’s eyes widened as he looked over to the broken window.

He itched at the back of his neck and took a deep breath.

“I don’t like being locked away Lorcan, you know that.” She looked to him as he inspected the shards of glass.

“I am sorry. I’m glad you brought me here though,” Lorcan looked to Elizabeth and lifted an eyebrow.

“I just never knew how I felt before. I like you, I always have. I have trouble showing my feelings to people.”

She fixated her eyes onto his. His lips curved into a nervous smile.

“I know.” He breathed. Relief flooded him, but there was a part of him that was not convinced. He shrugged the feeling away and pulled Elizabeth into his arms.

He had wanted this since he had met her. She looked as beautiful then as she does now. She swung herself on to the edge of the bed and stared to the ceiling, avoiding his gaze.

“Don’t feel embarrassed.” Lorcan kissed her neck; his hot breath tickled at her skin. He moved his finger along her arm and pushed himself against her side.

He breathed the sweet sickle smell of her perfume as he closed in to her lips. He ran one hand through her hair, as it flowed like satin through his fingers.

His lips locked onto hers; she shuddered for a moment, repulsed at the thought of kissing him. He took that as she was excited and pulled her in closer.

His tongue slipped into her mouth. She tried to create a wall with her teeth, but he persisted and kept darting the tongue into her mouth until she was forced to give in. He ran his hand down to the top of her leg. He reached the lining of her panties and groaned.

“I have wanted you for so long.” Elizabeth let out a half-hearted groan; it was the best she could manage. He pushed his erection against her leg and breathed into her ear.

“Stroke it.”

She moved her hand slowly down to the top of his jeans and hesitated. He grabbed her wrist and shoved her hand down his jeans. She slipped her hand underneath his boxers and took a deep breath. She felt sick, and wanted this to end. She grabbed his dick in her hand and placed her thumb over his foreskin.

“I want to fuck you.”

He said and grabbed her waist, throwing her down onto the bed.

Unzipping his jeans, his erection sprung free. He looked at her as a predator looks at its prey. He pulled down her jeans to her knees and slipped down her panties with his teeth.

“You are so beautiful.”

She almost cried; she didn’t want Lorcan, she wanted Jordan. She sat up and took his hand.

“I think I’m not ready for sex yet, I just want it to be special.”

She gazed into his eyes and smiled coyly.

“Ok.” He breathed “Anything for you. I will make it special.” He pulled her up and hugged her. “I love you.” Lorcan pushed a stray piece of her hair from her face.

“I love you too.” She lied. He pulled his jeans up and looked to the door.

“I have some business to attend to. Do you want to come with me?” She jumped off the bed.

“Yes.” She followed him to the door. He strode out past the guards but she couldn’t go any further.

“One second.” He moved his hands upwards, making wind blow into her face.

“It’s lifted now, come on.” She reached out her hand to where the shield was, and then stepped out, smiling victoriously to the guards. She walked with him down the stair case. A group of witches huddled by a stone statue looked at Elizabeth suspiciously.

She looked away and held her head up high.

“Friends,” he said loudly, throwing his arms out as if to welcome everyone. More people filed in through the doors on hearing his voice.

“I can see that some of you have brought some friends as I asked. I know you are wondering why you are here, but all will be revealed when everyone gets back. It will be worth the wait.” Smiling cunningly, he threw his hand in the air and dismissed everyone.

They walked away, glancing over their shoulders to their new leader and his monstrous fiancée. It left Lorcan, Elizabeth and another man, who seemed to follow Lorcan everywhere, alone.

“So what do you want to do now?” Lorcan said pulling Elizabeth into a sided hug.

“I want to look around.” She looked up to him innocently. He tickled her cheek with his soft lips.

“Ok, I will see you this evening.” He moved in to kiss her, his lips softly touching hers as they moved together in sync.

His eyes closed as he kissed harder. They heard a cough behind them and pulled apart. Elizabeth laughed sweetly and raised her eyebrows to the man stood behind Lorcan.

“I am finding it very difficult to keep my hands off you.” Lorcan whispered. She bit her lip, and did her best to look seductive.

“I will see you later then,” Elizabeth said as she walked off, Lorcans eyes followed her out of the door.

“I love you,” Lorcan shouted after her. She stopped and turned to face him
.

“I love you too,” She lied. He looked at her the same way he had ten years ago, with excitement and love.

Sighing she turned away; she couldn’t shake the hatred she had for him. They had always been great friends, and she was disappointed that he had changed.

Elizabeth walked down the entrance hall and through a small room, then down a narrow corridor. She turned the door knob to an old wooden door and pushed it open. She walked into the gardens, and it was breath-taking, very Grande. She looked out and saw a small collection of trees to the left and some steps leading down onto a large lawn on the right. She strained her eyes, trying to make out the end of the garden, but it seemed to go on for miles.

She walked down the steps and walked along the path, there were a few openings, and she chose to take the one to the left. It led her into a small enclosed garden with a massive pond with floating water lilies.
