THE ATKINS LIFESTYLE FOOD GUIDE PYRAMID

ATKINS CAN HELP

Atkins Nutritional, Inc., is constantly working toward improving the health and nutrition of people around the world. One step toward accomplishing this monumental task has been the development of the Atkins Lifestyle Food Guide Pyramid,a nutritional strategy based on a controlled-carbohydrate lifestyle and a way to help the more than 100 million Americans who are currently fighting the battles against obesity and diabetes to lose weight and keep it off. Members of the Atkins Physicians Council recently presented the Pyramid (shown on the following page) to the White House domestic-policy staff on health and nutrition, as well as to representatives of both the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Dietary Guidelines Committee and the Department of Health and Human Services, including representatives of the Food and Drug Administration.
