“Right
now, they could pay in food. Those muthafuckin' muffins didn't hold
me over.” Morgan had taken her first hop toward the door and
nearly fell in the process as her giggles erupted from within, but
Jordy caught her and set her straight. “Let's just get you
outside and then I'll carry you,” he shook his head at her
clumsiness and Morgan knew there would have been no use in arguing.

She
felt her cheeks heat as they made their way to the front of the shop
and past the 'guards'. Jordy gave them a little nod, in which they
returned and they turned around and headed back inside. “What
did you tell them?” she whispered to Jordy, even though the
smiling men were out of earshot.

“I'm
going to call Cedric and have him start a fire.” He smiled at
Morgan, a cocky smile that told her she wasn't going to get her
answer. After he made the quick call to his butler, Jordy ducked back
down in front of her and Morgan climbed on his back once more. She
felt giddy, knowing what they had just done, and she also found out
that her client liked to fuck in public places. More than that, he
liked to do it without foreplay, and she was certain that the lack of
'warming up' was also exciting for him.

“You're
lucky you're cute.” Morgan wrapped her arms tightly around his
chest, then laid her chin on his shoulder. He really was handsome, an
exotic kind, really. He hadn't shaved that morning, which with his
leather jacket, it made him look even more dangerous. Although, he
seemed to be anything but dangerous, he still boiled her blood, in a
good way. His long strides made the trip to the car shorter than she
hoped, but it was enough time to enjoy the strong ,masculine scent of
his cologne, mixed with the pure, raw scent of sex that still
lingered between them.

He
slowly lowered his body and Morgan climbed back down, then he helped
her into her seat. “Shit!” Morgan hit her foot against
the side of car as she slid inside. Her pills must have worn off
because that hurt a lot worse than it should have. Jordy leaned in
the car and grabbed the back of her neck, then pressed his lips
against hers. For a few moments, their tongues danced together to the
quick rhythm of their hearts.

“Better?”
He smiled against her lips, then slowly slid his hand from her neck
to her shoulder before standing up. Morgan nodded, amazed that just a
kiss could help so much.

“How
about pizza?” It was Tuesday and Morgan had grown tired of
salad. Jordy was a bit of a health nut and when he'd said he didn't
indulge in sweets, he hadn't been kidding. For three days, that's all
he'd given her. Salad with crunchy chicken, salad with grilled
chicken, salad with ham, salad with Italian dressing, salad with
French dressing, salad with...

“I
don't really eat pizza,” he raised an eyebrow at her as he
poured her a glass of wine.

“You
don't have to eat it...” Morgan crossed her arms, then puffed
out her bottom lip in disapproval. “Then again, you don't have
to eat leaves every day.”

“They're
not leaves.”

“Then
what are they?” Morgan sat up to take her glass of wine, then
sat back on the couch and took a sip.

“They're...lettuce...”
She giggled at his answer, then took another sip. “Fine, I'll
have Cedric get a pizza, but I'm having...”

“Leaves.”

“They're
not leaves,” he told her again, then stomped off toward the
kitchen. “Find Cedric and I'll make the call.” Morgan
squealed with delight at getting her own way, then she sat up and
used the table to stand herself up. She didn't need the crutches in
the house, as the shoe brace was rather good at keeping her toes
still when she took a step. She made it to Cedric's room at the end
of the hallway in record time, but stopped outside his door when she
heard him talking to...

“Angel,”
Morgan whispered, then clasped her hand over her mouth so he wouldn't
hear her gasp. She didn't want to interrupt their conversation, but
she didn't want to wait for her pizza either. Also, her curiosity
made the final decision before she gave the door a knock, then turned
the knob and walked in.

“Boo,
let me call...you...never mind.” Cedric had been sprawled out
across a long cushioned chair, a glass of wine settled in his palm
with the stem between his middle and ring finger. The phone was up
to his ear, held there by his shoulder as he clipped his toenails
with his free hand. When he heard the door click open, he'd sat the
wine down quickly, and the nail clippers went flying across the floor
as he jumped up to straighten out the already straight blanket on his
bed. He'd also tried to hang up on Angel, that was until he was put
out of his frantic misery when he realized it was Morgan walking into
his room and not Jordy. “Just a second, sexy lips.”

“Sexy
lips?” Morgan rolled her eyes and giggled as she quietly walked
across the floor toward the handsome blonde.

“Baby,
have you seen his lips?” The phone was pressed against his
chest, but Angel had heard it anyway, in which he told PoPo in an
excited whisper.

“I
have, and yes, they're sexy,” she agreed, still giggling.
“Jordy's ordering pizza, so will you be so kind as to go pick
it up?” Morgan fluttered her eyelashes flirtatiously.

“Hold
up, Jordy never orders pizza. What have you done with him?” He
wagged a finger at Morgan, then nodded and brought the phone back up
to his ear. Before he could say anything, Angel talked first.

“I
told you my Sticky Buns loves muthafuckin' pizza.” Cedric
laughed, then told him he'd call him later, once he returned, then
followed Morgan back out into the kitchen.

Chapter
Ten

Do
you ever have sex... indoors?” Morgan stretched her arms as
far as she could inside the man's car as he drove them back to his
house. Their latest adventure had just taken place behind his
chocolate store, behind a few crates that barely offered them minimum
coverage. She had to admit though, it was different from what she
had been used to, and more exciting than she ever would have guessed.

“The
question is, do you always need to?” His slow perfect smile
made her stomach tighten all over again, and she had to give his
question a little thought. The time with Sean, between two
buildings, had been more than exciting, but it was dark and they were
far enough away from the general public that she felt comfortable.
Then there were a few times in the ocean, but again, one was at night
and one was several miles out to sea. “I see your wheels
turning.” He watched her think it over, and laughed as her
face turned a lovely shade of pink. “I wasn't asking what
you've done, I was asking what you need. Or want.” Morgan
looked back at the man and realized that she didn't actually have an
answer for him.

“I...
I don't know.” Morgan actually let that sink in as she thought
of the men, and what she had enjoyed with each of them. But what did
she like? That was one question that deserved more time and thought.

“It's
alright, you're young my beautiful, Morgan. In time, you'll be
certain of what you like, I promise.” He winked at her, and
gave her that beautiful damn smile again as they pulled onto the main
street towards his house.

Cedric,
as Morgan began to see his pattern, was in his room when they
returned, and she knew exactly what he had been doing. She loved
that he and Angel had made a connection, and she looked forward to
seeing how it would all play out for the men. Morgan only wished
that if they were meant for one another, that it would happen for
them.

Jordy
called for the man to help with dinner, since he and Morgan had
managed to work up quite an appetite that afternoon, and the gorgeous
blonde man ran down the stairs and slid right into the kitchen.
Morgan had to leave the room as she watched him do exactly what Angel
had done almost every day, and she touched her wings around her neck
and sent a silent 'thank you' for her best friend. It was
bittersweet being around Cedric, as it made her miss Angel all the
more.

Morgan
was still in the living, trying not to laugh, when she heard Jordy's
voice from the other room. He didn't sound right, and the laughter
stopped as she slowly walked toward the kitchen to get a better
listen.

“Alright.
Tell her I'll be there as soon as I can. I'm leaving now.”
He let go of the phone before he should have, and the thing hit the
counter hard before ending up in three pieces on the floor. “Shit!”
He started to pick it up, but Cedric ran to his side and had it
taken care of in seconds.

“Go
change, you hate flying in jeans. I'll pack you a bag and get the
first flight out. Go!” Cedric shooed his boss out of the
room, then took his own phone out and called the airline. Morgan sat
at the table to stay out of the way, and wondered what the hell could
be happening. She watched Cedric end his call, then he ran from the
kitchen to pack a bag for Jordy. In minutes, both men had returned,
and her client sat across from her at the table and took her hand in
his.

“My
mom... she's... very ill. She lives in Romania... I need to go.”
His eyes had filled with tears, and she squeezed his hand and
nodded.

“I'm
so very sorry, Jordy. I hope that she recovers... and that.. just
have a safe trip.” She had no idea what to say to the man who
was obviously so worried. He nodded, and stood to leave. The man
took a few steps, then turned back around.

“Morgan,
thank you.. for a lovely time. I hope you'll return someday when
things are...” Morgan nodded, and told him that she'd love to
see him again.

“We
need to go.” Cedric had Jordy's bag over his shoulder, and
held the door open. “Morgan, you just sit tight baby girl,
I'll be right back.” He gave a quick wave to Morgan, and they
both walked out the door.

“Bye,
Jordy,” she whispered as the door closed. She hoped everything
was alright with his mother, but she was sad that their week had to
end so quickly. Really, she'd only had four full days with her client
and most of that time was spent with him carrying her from place to
place. It had even become a joke and the last couple of days, he'd
carried her absolutely everywhere. From one side of the kitchen to
the other, from the couch to the fireplace, from the tub to the sink.
“It was a good four days though.”

She
needed to call Julianne and tell her to reimburse him for the last
three days, since Morgan would obviously not be there to accompany
him, but she also needed to figure out what she'd do next. “And
where I'm going next.” She expelled a long and loud sigh, then
limped her way to the couch and plopped down. She decided, first and
foremost, she'd wait for Cedric to return before she got a hotel.
Maybe he wouldn't kick her out and she could hang out there until she
got things settled.

When
he returned more than two hours later, Morgan was sound asleep in the
same exact spot she'd sat down. “Morgan..” She heard her
name in her dream, then again in real life. “Morgan baby, you
alright?” Cedric's voice stirred her awake and she almost
knocked him out with her forehead when she finally sat up. “Easy
there,”

he
put his own hand up to block the impact.

He
was sitting on his knees with his chin propped on one of his fists
and his elbow was directly next to where her head had been. No wonder
she almost hit him when he was hovering like that. “Yeah,”
she muttered, rubbing the invisible sleep from her eyes. She noticed
it was dark outside, so her eyes immediately went to her watch. It
was only 6:38 PM, still early. “I'm fine...is...did Jordy...?”

“He's
left.” Cedric sat back, his ass meeting the heels of his feet,
then he sighed. “Jordy said you're welcome to stay as long as
you need to. Nobody planned for...”

Morgan
nodded, letting him know he didn't need to say anymore, then she
reached for the pills on the coffee table. Her foot was a little
sore, but she decided to take something a little less strong and set
them back on the table. “Thank you, I really appreciate it.”

“No
need to thank me, Love. I've already planned it out.” He popped
to his feet and quickly flitted across the room, then knelt next to
the fireplace. “I'm going to make us a fire, then make some...”
he paused and a big smile formed on his full, shiny lips,
“muthafuckin' cookies, then we're going to cuddle up on this
couch with some horror movies and...wait for it....” Morgan was
already giggling before he gave her the grand finale. “We're
going to bring Angel to the party,” he announced, setting his
phone on the long table in front of Morgan.
