“How so?” Katarnia asked, pleased to realize that Deanna was quite comfortable being cuddled up to another person.

“I ended up here.”

“Where you not only have a chance to help like-minded humans, but to find a happy life of your own. I think your husband would be very proud of what you’ve accomplished.”

“I think so, too,” Deanna said, sitting up and wiping the tears from her face. “In fact, I think he’d be quite relieved that my journey brought me here. Before we landed on Descon, I hadn’t felt safe for a very long time.”

“Descon has its dangers also,” Katarnia said, pointing at her security uniform.

“True,” Deanna said with a wicked smile. “Some might even spank me.”

Katarnia laughed, despite the accidental reminder of what had happened last night. In the light of morning, she’d been able to see her overreaction, but it didn’t help that she’d felt inadequate in the first place. She was good at her job. Both Ewin and Eric knew that. They wouldn’t have seen Jaegan spanking her as anything more than a way for both of them to relax from the stress of their jobs. Unfortunately, all of her rationalizing hadn’t explained why she’d reacted so out of character in the first place.

“What are you doing tonight?” Katarnia asked impulsively.

Deanna raised an eyebrow and laughed softly. Human women weren’t allowed to leave the compound without approved escorts and the correct paperwork—they were security measures Katarnia herself had put in place to protect them—so it was very unlikely Deanna had any actual plans.

“Would you like to come home with me for a couple of days? Jaegan is on assignment until tomorrow, but Luddeke has the next couple of days off. He’d be happy to show you some of the Desconian capital. It really is a beautiful city.”

Deanna looked interested, but she shook her head and smiled. “I can’t ask him to give up his days off to babysit me. Why don’t you take a couple of days off instead?”

Katarnia smiled at the woman who’d become a close friend in the past few months and wondered why she hadn’t thought of this sooner.

“How about we compromise? I’ll take a couple of days off, as long as you come home with me.”

Deanna bit her lip, rolled her eyes as if it were some sort of hardship, and said with a perfectly straight face, “If it’s the only way to make certain you take time off, I guess I can sacrifice my plans for the weekend.” And then she grinned happily as if she couldn’t quite wait to finally leave the compound. “When do we leave?”

Katarnia gave her a wicked grin, nodded at the computer in Deanna’s hand, and said, “As soon as you do the paperwork.”

Chapter Four

Jaegan was so happy to hear his wife’s voice that he didn’t even stop to wonder who she was talking to. He practically ran into the kitchen, gathered her in his arms, and kissed her the way he’d wanted to since their abandoned play-party plans.

She kissed him back for a few happy moments, but then patted his cheek and moved away. He kept his arm around her, so he didn’t let her go far. Katarnia turned to face the other woman in his kitchen.

“I’m assuming this is Jaegan,” the human said with a humorous glint in her eye.

“Yes, this is Jaegan.” Katarnia leaned up to press a kiss to the underside of his jaw. “Jaegan, this is Deanna.”

So this was the woman Katarnia had been telling them about. “It’s great to finally meet you,” he said honestly. He’d been very curious about the human who’d not only helped them to identify what was happening on that first transport months ago, but had also become a good friend to his wife.

“Why are you home early?” Katarnia asked curiously.

“The Gahbotian delegation was recalled to Gahbot for an urgent inquest into misappropriated funds. Considering the money they were splashing around I’m thinking it could be a good long while before we need to deal with their complaining asses again.”

“So you’ve got some time off?” Luddeke asked as he wandered into the kitchen.

“Several days, in fact.” Jaegan pulled his husband into his embrace, kissed him soundly, and only then wondered if his behavior was making Deanna uncomfortable. He’d taken his clothes off the moment he’d stepped foot into their apartment. His cock had risen at the sight of his wife’s delectable ass, and had drawn to full salute when he’d held both his mubella and tredellabina in his arms. At least they were comfortable being naked with a human in the room. He peeked at Deanna, noticed she was dressed in the fairly simple style of most Desconians, and wondered what to do now.

He’d had visions of lifting Katarnia onto the bench and fucking her hard and fast before grabbing Luddeke and doing the same to him.

But then the problems they’d had the night before came back to him and he hesitated for more than just the one reason.

“It’s probably best if we postpone my visit,” Deanna said, giving him an apologetic smile. “I know that all three of you haven’t had time off together in quite a while. I can always visit next time.”

“Don’t be silly,” Luddeke said, leaning up to press a kiss to Jaegan’s mouth before moving away. “We have more than enough room, and we’ve always enjoyed having an audience.” Jaegan noticed his man was semihard as well, but unlike Jaegan, he wasn’t trying to hide it in front of their visitor.

“Audience?” he asked Katarnia when Luddeke’s words finally sank in.

Katarnia nodded. “Of course. Deanna has spent months learning about Desconian sexual behavior. It’s probably about time she got to see it firsthand.”

“Oh,” Jaegan said inanely. It seemed so strange to be arguing this point. They’d claimed their wife in front of hundreds of witnesses. Why was he going all “human” in reaction to a single human in his house?

“Jaegan, if me being here makes you uncomfortable, I don’t mind going back to the compound.”

“No,” Jaegan said quickly, trying to undo the damage he’d done by not simply being himself. “I’m actually really glad you’re here. Katarnia has told us so much about you. I already feel like I know you.” Luddeke still looked unconvinced and moved to place his arms around Deanna in an affectionate hug. “I’m sorry,” Jaegan said, smiling at his husband’s instinct to protect the woman’s feelings. “I’m overthinking things. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve been around a new human.”

“It’s okay,” Deanna said with a confident smile. “I promise not to freak out, although I am liable to ask a million questions.”

Jaegan smiled. “That, I think I can live with.”

Chapter Five

Katarnia watched the interaction between her husbands and her human friend and had to smile. It had become a regular habit over the past three weeks to bring Deanna home with her. It was obvious that her husbands had grown as protective of Deanna as they were of Katarnia—even when that meant protecting her from their own stupid gaffs. Over the past few months, Katarnia had grown quite accustomed to human ways, so it was a little bit of a shock to realize how much of a novelty human behavior was to her husbands.

It had been a lot of years since Cindy Richards had been the first mail-order bride. Many human women had moved to Descon since that time, but they were still rather rare in the general population. Unfortunately, with the changes on Earth, the women landing on Descon now weren’t nearly as aware of Desconian traditions as their predecessors.

Cindy Richards had recently confessed to having very little in common with the women who were arriving from Earth now. It was almost as if the Earth authorities had tried to suppress all information on human sexuality and reproduction. With the overcrowded population on Earth, Katarnia could understand them wanting to control the birthrate, but it seemed a strange way to go about it. Surely ignorance created more problems than it solved.

“No, I’m not a virgin,” Deanna answered with an indulgent smile. As they’d grown to know her better, her husbands’ questions had gotten bolder. Fortunately, Deanna didn’t seem to be offended.

“So you and your husband?” Luddeke asked with a broad smile.

“Had sex on a fairly regular basis.” She winked at Katarnia before adding, “Although, from what I’ve seen, it was a lot tamer than what you three are used to.”

“Hey,” Luddeke said, laughing out loud, “we can be tame…sometimes.”

Deanna looked directly at Jaegan, winked, and laughed right along with Luddeke.

“Okay,” Luddeke said on a breathless laugh, “I can be tame. Jaegan, not so much.”

“I’m pretty sure that was an insult,” Jaegan said as he laughed and threw a cushion across the room. “I should spank your ass for being a brat.”

But as if that word sucked all the oxygen from the air, Jaegan’s and Luddeke’s laugher faded. Deanna was quick to pick up that something was wrong, because her gaze went immediately to Katarnia’s.

“Jaeg,” Katarnia started, not sure exactly what to say, “about that night…”

“It’s okay, you were tired. We understand, Kat. It’s no big deal.”

“No, that’s not fair. I let my work dictate my behavior.”

“How?” Luddeke asked as he crossed the room and took her into his arms.

“I didn’t want you to spank me in front of my boss.”

“But,” Jaegan said, shaking his head in confusion, “I’ve spanked you in front of Eric plenty of times. It’s never bothered you before.”

“And it shouldn’t have bothered me that night, either. It was an overreaction and I’m sorry.”

“That’s because you were tired,” Luddeke said kindly. “You should know by now that mentally tired can mess with your head even more than physically tired. You just needed a couple decent nights of sleep.”

“Thanks,” she said, loving both of her men for their willingness to understand behavior she didn’t really understand herself. Dealing with humans was stressful, and in some ways, Katarnia even understood that dealing with pregnant humans was a painful reminder for her of things she’d never have, but she couldn’t explain how that had gotten mixed up in her head at the play party. She’d always enjoyed being spanked by her husbands, especially in front of an audience. “Maybe you should spank me now. It’s always the best way for me to get a good night’s sleep.”

“That’s true,” Luddeke said as he moved her into Jaegan’s embrace and went to sit on the sofa beside Deanna. “I’ll sit here and answer any questions Deanna might have.”

“Good idea,” Katarnia said as she winked at Deanna, hoping that she was doing it right. She tried not to giggle as Deanna winked right back. It almost felt like some secret code between the two of them. Hopefully, Deanna understood that it was her way of telling her it was all right to watch and ask questions, and even to hold on to Luddeke if she felt the need.

Jaegan held her close for a moment, whispered, “We don’t have to do this,” and then moved her backward so he could see her face.

“I want to do this,” she said, reaching out to touch his jaw. He truly was a very attractive man. He wasn’t handsome in the same physical way that Luddeke owned, but there was just something about him that was very appealing. It was the same attraction she’d felt when they’d first met nearly five and a half years ago.

He studied her face for a moment and apparently found what he was looking for. With barely any effort at all, he wrapped his large hands around her middle, lifted her into the air, and then placed her facedown over his thigh. He trapped her legs between his, effectively holding her lower body still for his attentions.

He rubbed his hand over her bottom, the rough skin of his fingers warming the soft flesh quickly. The first slap was quite soft, a sure indication that she’d hurt him that night more than he’d admitted. By losing her own self-confidence, she’d managed to undermine her husband’s as well.

She wiggled her bottom, hoping to get across the fact that she needed more, but the second slap was just as light. She wrapped her hands around his ankle, dragging herself down a little, changing the angle so that her bottom was higher in the air. But when the third slap was just as controlled as the others she sank her teeth into his calf muscle in frustration.

The next slap made her howl.

“Much better,” Luddeke said from his position on the couch. She couldn’t be certain from her upside-down angle, but she was fairly certain that Luddeke had pulled Deanna into a comfortable cuddle and was whispering an explanation into her ear. It was fairly common for Desconians to embrace each other, so she didn’t feel any sort of jealousy, but she was surprised by how pleased she was that her husbands both liked Deanna.

The next slap caught the top of her thigh, the sting burning through her whole body as another slap landed in the same place. She was starting to pant, her focus narrowing to the heated spots on her bottom, the grip of her husband’s thighs as he held her in place, the throbbing of her clit as it swelled with need.

Her husband knew her well. He pressed against her bottom, grinding her mound against his thigh, the pressure against her already-throbbing clit making her gasp. She was on the verge of orgasm when he pulled back and lifted her slightly so that her clit no longer touched his leg. She whimpered her need, almost growling at her husband’s soft laugh.

“I say when you can come, mubella,” he said as he went back to rubbing his hand over her bottom, “and tonight I’m thinking you might have to wait a very long time.”

She groaned at his words, but rejoiced at the control he was exerting. Whatever damage she’d done to their relationship that night at Ewin’s play party seemed to have been repaired, at least for the moment.
