Dear Mandarin Oriental Hotel Reservations.

Thank you once again for your wonderful detail to customer service. It is truly a delight to deal with such professionals as yourselves. Just magnificent. It will be noted in my folder and shown to others.

As I mentioned, Mr. Gum has special needs. Can he get chicken noodle SOAP? In his room? Or if you are out of chicken noodle, then minestrone SOAP will do. We will pay premium for this. (more then JPY 1,500 and more then 10% service fee; maybe 12%) Please call me Fred or Fred D. Or F.D. from time to time.

I await my reply.

Respectfully,

(F. D. Nancy)

Dear Mr Nancy

Attached please find sightseeing recommendations for Tokyo. I hope you find this useful.

By the way, we checked with the major convention centers in the city but were unable to find a Paper Hat Convention. Do you know the name of the center where this convention is to be held?

Sincerely

Adam Chapin

Dear Mandarin Oriental Hotel Reservations.

Thank you once more for your exceptional regard to hotel amenities. It will be noted & stapled in my folder. (and three hole punched) It is truly wonderful to deal with professionals as yourselves. Just splendid.

Now. Let us address Mr. Lawrence Gum and his needs. Mr. Gum is the Chair Committee Chief of the Paper Hat Convention. He oversees 3,000 people in paper hats. He will be in my room. So. Just to make sure what we are talking about here regarding the Chicken Noodle SOAP. I am assuming this is the soap you wash in the shower with that has chicken, noodles, carrots, and possibly celery in it. It depends on how you make it. The minestrone SOAP is made with vegetables, pasta, beans, onions, and tomatoes. Low salt please. Then Mr. Gum will be washed up and fed with the same bar of soap.

And ready to enter your lobby with his paper hat on to command 3,000 others in paper clothing. We have still not figured out the tearing. Sorrreee. Please, look away when someone crosses their legs. You ask: “Do you know the name of the center where this convention is to be held?” Yes. I believe it is at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel. How far away is that?

How do we proceed? When can we finalize? What is next?

Sincerely,

(Fred)
