You're preaching to the choir on that one. I can't believe that I lost you to Miracle and all her Baby Mama bullshit. I almost caught a fuckin charge in that delivery room when that baby came out whiter than Casper the Friendly Ghost. I wanted to kick her trick ass that night.” Teddy laughed. “But it's all good. I wasn't really ready to be a father.” 

“
Yeah, that must have been pretty fucked up. Funny as hell, but fucked up.” Queen laughed. “But you know, all jokes aside everything happens for a reason. There was a reason that we broke up and I ended up with Christian. I guess this is it. Maybe Chris was just suppose to be my Baby Daddy and not my husband.”

“
I don't think so.  So, what do you want me to tell him when he calls, or do you want to talk to him?”

Queen pondered her answer.  “Bear I can't stand to hear the pain in his voice again. Just tell him that I'm sorry. And make sure he knows that I didn't tell him about Logic to hurt him. I only told him, because I loved him too much to base our marriage on a lie.”

“
Anything else?”

“
No, that's it. I've already begged once, without success. He knows how I feel.”

“
And how is that?”

“
I'm in love with him Bear. He's the father of my baby and I'd give anything to take back what I did that stopped him from being my husband.” Queen's voice cracked as she confessed her true feelings to Teddy. “I love you and Logic, but Christian is the one.”

“
Don't cry Mye Queen. Things have a peculiar way of working themselves out. Give it and God some time.”

As comforting as Teddy's words were, Queen was convinced that she had royally fucked up her life. She realized that she loved and needed Christian and she prayed that he still loved and needed her too. If not she'd have to find some way to swallow the bitter pill that her life had become. Luckily the best part of their love was due to arrive in less than nine months. And that alone was enough to give her hope and put a smile on her face.

Queen sipped a fresh cup of coffee as she watched about twenty or so construction workers  build what appeared to be a gigantic three tier deck and gazebo on the beach in front of her estate.

“
Exactly what are they doing?”

“
They're building a gazebo and a three tier deck. Why? I thought I told you that an hour ago.” Teddy nonchalantly responded as he searched the refrigerator for leftovers.

“
Why?”

“
Yeah, why do you ask?”

“
No I mean why are they building it?”

“
Cause I asked them to. I've always wanted to put one out there. I just never got around to it. We might as well enjoy the property while we're here. It'll be a nice place to relax.”

“
Yeah, about that. How long do you plan to be here?”

“
What? Are you tired of me already? I just got here.”

“
So did I. I know how long I'm staying. I just don't know how long you're staying.”

“
I'm staying as long as you are staying. I hope you don't think that I'm leaving you here in Mexico by yourself.”

“
Bear I may not be going home for a long while. I mean I'm going back before I deliver my baby, but I plan to be here for at least a month or two.”

“
Then I guess you have your answer. Because that's exactly how long I'll be here.” He said as he pulled some leftover baked chicken from the fridge.

“
Look Bear, we need to talk about this. I love you but, I'm not trying to get nothing started. Christian is already probably never going to speak to me again. If I fuck around and fuck with you...”

“
Don't even think about that bullshit. Ain't shit going down between you and me as long as that crazy ass nigga is alive. So you don't have to worry about that.”

“
Really? Because I thought that you wanted to...”

“
I said we're good. Just try to keep your hands off of me. I know you're horny and shit, but it ain't going to happen.”

“
Nigga whatever!” Queen laughed.  “I'm in enough trouble without adding your unique brand of bullshit to the mix.”

“
You're right about that. Chris wants to beat that ass, with a belt.” Teddy laughed.

“
Did you talk to him?”

“
Yeah, he called last night.”

“
Did you tell him where I was?”

“
I told him that you were with me.”

“
I bet he wants to beat your ass too.” Queen joked.

“
Oh, he's already put me on notice and I assured him that he had absolutely nothing to worry about.”

“
Why the fuck does he even care who I fuck?”

“
Queen you know why. You two need to stop passing messages like you're in high school or some shit and go ahead and talk to each other.”

“
He sent me a message? What did he say?”

“
He told me to tell you to make sure you get some prenatal vitamins and whatever you do don't drink the local water. He said it's full of bacteria that could harm the baby.”

“
That's it?”

“
Yeah, pretty much.”

“
So now I'm just a fuckin incubator to him?”

“
Queen it's not like that and you know that. He's not going to give me a message for you that would say what his heart really feels. If you read between the lines you would hear that he loves you and he wants you to take care of yourself and the baby.”

“
What the fuck ever. You know what? It don't even matter. I set myself up for that bullshit.”

“
What do you want him to say?”

Queen hesitated to compose her emotions. “I want him to say that I love you Mye Queen. I love you enough to look beyond all your nonsense and your bullshit. I love you enough to forgive you and to take you for my wife.”

“
Yeah, keep hope alive on that one.” Teddy laughed.

“
Why'd you say that? You're such an ass.”

“
There's no man on the planet that would say that corny ass bullshit. I don't give a damn how fine you are.”

“
You asked me what I wanted him to say. I know he's not going to say it, but that's what I want to hear.”

“
Well, if I fucked up like you did, I'd settle for hello.”

“
Ass!” Queen replied as she playfully punched him in the shoulder.

“
Hey I'm just saying.” He laughed.

“
Yeah, I guess you're right. He'd have my ass at hello.”

Less
than seventy two hours later Queen looked out the window on an amazingly, beautiful, landscaped triple decker deck and gazebo that overlooked the ocean. The workers had all but worked through the night to get everything finished for Teddy's inspection and his check. She watched as he handed over what she anticipated to be  a very sizable check before heading back to the house.

“
Guess what? He asked excited.

“
What?” Queen played along.

“
There's going to be a big wedding tonight and we're invited.”

“
A wedding where?”

“
On our new deck.”

“
What? Who's getting married.”

“
I ran into one of my fans the other day out on the beach. He's down here on some church vacation excursion or something. Anyway, he saw them building the deck and he mustered up the courage to ask me to use the gazebo to get married. Apparently, his girl is pregnant and he promised to marry her after the baby was born. He wants to surprise her and marry her tonight. He asked me to be in the wedding.”

“
Bear, I don't know about that. I'm not really in the mood for all of that. Besides, you don't even know this guy. It could be a big scam.”

“
Oh come on Queen. They're harmless. I just said their here with their church. Anyway, I already said yes.  It'll be fun. You love weddings and I have the means to make their wedding day special and I want to do it. In fact, I've decided to pay for everything. Please don't make me tell him that I've changed my mind.”

“
I don't want you to do that. I just don't want to go. You should go ahead and go and have fun.”

“
Queen, I'm not going without you. He's expecting you to be with me. It'd be disrespectful and rude for the lady of the house not to show up. Come on. Don't make me explain why you're not there. Don't be that person.”

Queen sighed in surrender. “Okay, sure. I guess I can find something to wear.”

“
I'm sure you can, because we're going shopping. I have to get a tuxedo” Teddy declared as he scooped her up in his arms and twirled her around like a rag doll.

             
Queen
and Teddy were gone for the better part of the entire day. It didn't take much coaching to get Queen to allow Teddy to treat her to a Spa and Salon Extravaganza. By the end of their fantastic day Queen had been pampered to no end and felt and looked like a completely new women.

In
fact, they were gone so long the wedding guest had already begun to arrive and assemble on the new beach front deck. Teddy quickly whisked the nosy Queen away to get dressed. “Will you please take your nosy ass upstairs and get dressed before we completely miss the wedding.”

“
Damn I was just looking. What time is it suppose to start anyway?”

“
Apparently soon so hurry up and get dressed.”

“
What about you?”

“
Queen, I'm on my way to my room now. It's not going to take me ten minutes to get dressed. You know how long it takes you.”

“
Whatever... My hair, makeup and nails were done at the salon. The only thing I really have to do is put on my dress.”

“
Great! Do that and meet me down here in fifteen minutes.” Teddy quickly cut her off. “And hurry because I don't want to be late.”

“
Okay God! I'm going. You act like you know these people.” Queen mumbled as she headed off to her room to get dressed.

Moments
later Queen screamed, “Oh my God! They gave me the wrong damn dress. What the hell? This is not the dress that I purchased. Oh come on! I can't wear this to the wedding. Bear come and look at this.”

“
Queen, I don't have time for this. Try the dress on if it fits then you're wearing it! I have to be on that beach in less than fifteen minutes and you're whining about a dress.”

“
Bear I can't wear this.” Queen said as she entered Bear's bedroom.

“
What's wrong with it?” He asked as he brushed his teeth.

“
Look at it.”

“
I'm looking at it. What's the problem? It looks fine to me.”

“
Bear, I can't wear this. One this is somebody else's dress. A very expensive dress I might add. I know she is probably mad
as
hell right now. And two this dress is so beautiful I'll upstage the Bride. I don't want to do that. This is her day.”

“
Queen, please just wear the damn dress. It'll be fine. You're so beautiful, you'd probably upstage the Bride even if you wore a plaid jumpsuit.  So, please just get dressed and lets go. You're making me late. I told you that I was in the wedding party. Please, just do it for me.”

“
Okay, but when the Bride is rolling her eyes at me, just remember that you are the reason.”

“
I'm sure that that's not going to happen. But if it does I'll simply remind her that you footed the bill for her entire wedding. Okay? So, will you please just put on the dress so we can go. Please, I'm begging you?”

“
Against my better judgment, okay. I'll be ready in ten minutes.”

“
Make that five.”

“
You said I had fifteen.”

“
Yeah, but you spent ten bitching about the dress.”

“
Whatever.” Queen yelled back as she ran to her room to get ready.

By
the time Teddy and Queen scrolled on the beach practically all of the guests had arrived and were anxiously awaiting the bridal party. As Teddy and Queen grew closer they could see the wedding party began to assemble in the gazebo.

“
Hurry up Bear. We have to get there before the Bride goes down the aisle.” Queen said as she attempted to pick up her pace.

“
Don't worry, we have a little time. They're not going to start without me.” Teddy assured her. “You look amazing tonight Mye Queen. I
honestly
didn't think that you could get any more beautiful than you already are, but I was wrong. You are absolutely breathtaking in that dress.” Teddy managed as his voice begin to crack.

“
Thanks so much Bear. You look incredible yourself. Although I still think I'm a little overdressed. The Bride's going to hate me.”

“
No she won't. You'll see.”    

Teddy
was right. Queen was stunning in a form fitting, fishtailed, crystal encrusted, mother of pearl, long, satin gown. The beautiful halter dress fit her perfectly and accentuated her every curve.  Any man would have been proud to call her their own. It saddened Teddy to think that she no longer belonged to him.

As
they drew closer an older man in a black tuxedo with a large bouquet of flowers in his arms slowly approached them. To Queen's utter surprise that man was her dad. Queen immediately begin to search Teddy's face for answers only to discover tears flowing like a river down his chiseled cheeks.

“
What's going on Bear?” She asked confused.

“
I told you I'd fixed this.” He managed as he relinquished her to her dad. “Your dad will do the honors of escorting you to your groom. I'm the Best Man, so I have to hurry up and join the wedding party. I love you Mye Queen.”

Queen
grabbed Teddy and held him so tight that her father had to pry them apart. “Come on baby. We have to go. Everyone is waiting.”

“
I know dad, but give me a minute. She said as her dad tried to pull her away. “I love you so much Bear. I don't know how you did this but thank you.”

“
It was easy. You two were meant to be together.” He said as he wiped the tears from her face and kissed her on her forehead. “Go ahead. You've kept Chris waiting long enough.”

Queen
kissed Teddy hard in the mouth one last time before completely letting him go. A kiss sweeter than she could have ever imagined possible. She looked deeply into his eyes beyond all his flaws, and all his mess and saw a best friend for life. “I will always love you.” She vowed.

“
And I will always be in love with you Mye Queen.” He pledged. “I'll see you at the altar.” He said as he ran to join the wedding party.

Queen
hugged and kissed her dad as she took her wedding bouquet from his arms and they continued the walk to the fifty foot white satin runner that lead to the gazebo. Moments later she saw her mother, anything but patiently awaiting her arrival.  A bundle of nerves and tears, Queen rushed to her and hugged her for what seemed like an eternity. The two clung to each other sobbing, until her father indicated that it was time to move on.

“
I can't believe I'm getting married.” Queen nervously giggled.

“
I know. I can't believe it either.” Her mother teased. “I'm just kidding sweetheart. Here, I got something for you.” She said as she placed a wedding tiara on Queen's head.

“
I must look a hot mess. I'm so happy I can't stop crying.”

“
You look gorgeous, Mye Queen. Christian's and extremely lucky man to have a woman as beautiful as you.” Her mom replied as she secured the tiara and kissed Queen on her cheek.

“
Thanks mom.” Queen said as she hugged her mom one last time. 

Just
as she pulled herself together she spotted Katelyn, her God daughter
,
anxiously
waiting her turn to greet Queen. Overwhelmed and completely shocked to see her, Queen grabbed her in her arms and showered her with kisses. The seven year old was her flower girl.

“
You look like a princess Momma Queen.”

“
Oh, so do you sweetheart.” Queen said as hugged her tight again. “Oh my God. I'm so glad to see you. Look how much you've grown since last year. How did you get here?”

“
My dad brought me.”

Queen looked around until she located X and his new wife in the crowd. He smiled and gave her a nod of approval.

Queen
smiled and mouthed the words, “Thank you.”

Katelyn
gently tugged on Queen's dress. “Momma Queen, Pop Pop
said
it's time to go now.”

“
Okay. Pop Pop's right.” Queen acknowledged as she wiped a trail of tears from her face.

Moments
later Queen watched as the ring bearer and Katelyn walked down the long runner to the gazebo together. It all seemed so surreal as her father took her arm and they began the long walk to her Groom. As she stepped on the runner she could identify many of her closest relatives and friends who had traveled to Mexico to wish her well. But one face in particular made her lose all composure and sense of time.

There
he was with his mom, Logic Hart, her High School sweetheart. Nothing or no one could have stopped her from pausing to kiss him goodbye. So, her father didn't even bother to try.

Queen
wrapped her arms around Logic's neck, and stared in his eyes for approval before softly kissing his lips. Their brief kiss was tender and just short of magical. “Logic I'm sorry. I didn't know that we'd end like this. I love you and I always will. You know that right? But, I'm going to be a mom.”

“
I know.” He managed as he choked backed tears. “And I am happy for you. I love you. And nothing in the world will ever change that. All I've ever wanted since the moment I met you is for you to be completely happy. I know how you feel about me. I'm good. It's okay to be happy.  Congratulations Mye Queen.” 

Logic
softly savored her lips once more before setting her free. “You look beautiful. Go ahead, don't keep your Groom waiting any longer.

Queen
nodded okay, wiped her eyes, regained her composure and continued her descent down the long runner that led to the gazebo and her soul mate, Dr. Christian Love. She could see him in the distance. It wasn't hard to spot Christian. He stood as tall as a redwood tree in a cream colored tuxedo. Flanked by his Best Men, Teddy and Dorian he nervously awaited his Bride to Be.

Now,
Christian and Queen hadn't spoken since the night they broke up. Mad or not Christian decided that he wasn't going to let Logic, Teddy or anybody else for that matter come between him and Queen, especially now since she was carrying his child. He knew in his heart that nothing that this woman did would ever stop him from loving her. He was one hundred and fifty percent pussy whipped and he didn't give a damn who knew it. Queen looked absolutely alluring in that dress and he couldn't wait to get her alone and get her out of it.

The
mere site of Christian took Queen's breath away and her eyes instantly begin to well up with fresh tears. It was like everyone else on that beach simply disappeared. Suddenly it was just the two of them. No one else existed or even mattered.  Queen had never seen Christian look so fine. She was awe struck that this incredible man chose her along with all of her baggage and her bullshit.

Immediately,
without warning anxiety, fear and doubt quickly rushed in and overwhelmed her. She couldn't believe he still wanted her. “How was it possible?
Something

wrong. This can't be right.” She thought as she instantly pushed that self destruct button again.

Just
as panic begin to consume her Queen considered running back down the aisle. But then Christian smiled at her

same majestic smile that he smiled the very first night that they met and suddenly all was right with the world again. Queen pulled away from her father and shamelessly ran down the aisle to greet him. Somewhere along the way she tossed her flowers to the side as she prepared to leap in his outstretched arms.

Christian
caught her and hugged her tight enough to break her. He kissed her hard before smothering her face with a ton of kisses. “God

how I have missed you
?
”

“
Chris I am so sorry. Can you...”

Christian
quickly interrupted her. “None of that matters anymore, because I love you Mye Queen. I've loved you since the moment I saw you. And I love you enough to look beyond all your nonsense and your bullshit. I love you enough to forgive and forget everything
that

happened until this second.
And
most
of all I love you enough to take you as my wife and the mother of my children. So I'm going to ask you again, Marry me Mye Queen? Marry me?”  He whispered in her ear.

Queen
instantly looked at Teddy, who simply winked and smiled. It was obvious that he told Christian exactly what she wanted to hear. An emotional wreck and unable to speak, Queen nodded a definitive, yes, yes, yes!  Her hungry mouth anxiously sought Christian's again and they kissed deep and long to the applauds and cheers of the wedding guest.

Finally,
her father coughed and cleared his throat. “Mye Queen, there will plenty of time for that later. The minister's waiting.” He quietly whispered.
