Dennis’s stuff had been packed and left at a watering hole for
him, he had been given a police caution and he was told he could go
nowhere near, his family, the house, nor me.

“We can go get him some things, if you want? Pick him up from
college and take him clothes shopping, I bet he won’t like it
though.” I went for my bag and Aunty gave us a lift to college,
they would be gone when we got back so we had hugs and kisses from
Emma, before we left. I bumped into Miss Wane.

“Argh good your here, we are having a practice in half an
hour, see you then.” I looked at Sam.

“I need to run home and get changed wait here for Jimmy, and I
will be two ticks, oh hockey with a hangover cheers. Good job I
only live a few yards away.” I went to my room and changed into my
kit. Mum wasn’t in so I left her a note. Telling her, I would be
back some time Saturday for Kelly’s party. I hadn’t spent a lot of
time at home this past week or so. I packed some things in a bag
for changing into and for a couple of days at Aunties, damn the
sexy stuff Sam got me, get an outing hell it feels soft and nice? I
headed back and they were both waiting for me.

“Hi, Jimmy you ready to shop? We need to have you looking
smart for your date.” Sam smiled at me.

“We are going to go shopping and will meet you back here, are
you alright?” I'm being shouted at to pad up and I get a last
kiss.

“Yeah, see you later, I will wait for you.” He copped a feel
of my bum and gave me a kiss. “Sam, I have the night stuff you
bought me in the bag wanna see it modelled later?” I whispered into
his ear.

“Fuck yes baby, I thought you’d pack your reindeer pjs just to
piss me off? See you in a bit Missy. I love you.” I smiled and
kissed his face whispering again in his ear as I nibbled his
lobe!

“I may be in my birthday suit, have you a problem with that?”
He grinned. Shook his head and he and Jimmy left me to my beloved
hockey. Oh my head ached, no more wine ever for me. I padded
up.

Jimmy and I left Michelle to play her beloved hockey. I
watched her as she disappeared into the changing rooms, Jimmy
hitting my head and laughing as he does so, ouch the little shit.
He smiles as I watch her backside walk away, then I notice he is
watching it too!

“Erm, eyes away from my girls bum Jimmy!” He laughs
again!

“I’ve been watching that backside a damn sight longer than
you big brother, so shut it! She will be here when we get back,
because I think she seems to like you a bit. Good job Mum didn’t
pass that alcove last night, you two were enjoying yourselves in.”
Shit, it had been Jimmy listening, crap and we were so discrete,
well nearly, and yeah I suppose he has been watching her a long
time!

“We got carried away, too much wine and stuff, she’s damn
hard to keep my hands off, and quit watching her bum please!” I
think I’m blushing again. I don’t spend as much time with Jimmy as
I should, and that’s my fault not his. Michelle is right he’s very
different away from dad. He smiles in my direction.

“Right Jimmy let’s kit you out, I think my little brother
needs everything new. I guess I have to thank him properly for
falling for my girl!”

“You don’t have to thank me, just look after her Sam, she’s
really special, and I’m still not sure if you’re right for her, she
isn’t to be treated like the others. Shit she’s already different
than the others, you brought her home and have yet to screw the
shit out of her and dumped her. Your not are you going to dump
her?”

“No, sorry to disappoint you James Robert, not any time soon,
that is your new sister and soon to be my wife! I know I was a dick
before, but that’s behind me, well behind me. I’m sorry for falling
for the same girl Jimmy, but I… Well I really love her, really I do
and well…” He thumps my shoulder!

“Enough I get the picture she’s different and you’re in love,
just don’t screw up, or that’s your next sister, brother!” I laugh,
as I know he means it! We headed to the first shop, Burtons where
he looked at things putting them back and picking them up
again.

“What’s the matter Jimmy?” He looked worried.

“Sam things are really expensive.” I laughed.

“Pay me back when you get your black card.” I went along the
rails putting things across his arms. He was loaded down with
trousers jeans and shirts. I looked at other things he needed too,
putting everything on the counter adding shoes socks, underwear,
and tee shirts.

“Right can you ring this lot up for me please?” Jimmy looked
in shock as the bags were filled and they were handed to him, the
assistant charged my card and I signed.

“Do you not check the prices Sam?” I hadn’t done it before
why start now?

“No, but Michelle does. She hates shopping with me and she
moans about the cost and how I spend money like its water.” I
smiled at the thought of her trying to pay for things.

“Does she know you have money then Sam?” I looked at him and
smiled. Don’t tell me he thinks she’s in it for the money
too?

“She knows I have money, not how much and she’s not
interested! Twice I’ve bought her dresses and twice she’s had a
Missy-fit, she’s even given me the money back for some of the
things I’ve bought her.” He smiled. “That’s what she was giving me
back that day, money for a dress I bought her, just to stop her
shouting at me for getting drunk.” He laughed and picked up his
bags.

“She was never the best dressed at school, or college, when
she’s not in her chef gear, its jeans and tee shirts normally, and
that backside of hers is… Sorry I got carried away, she’s always
clean and tidy though, she has spruced herself up lot since being
with you, and she wears nicer things.” I hadn’t thought about it,
but she had said her wardrobe consisted of a lot more
dresses.

“Her grandparents all spoil her. Especially her Gramps, he’s
bought her a load for college, he was fed up of her in boy clothes
too. I have bought her a few things, though she gets too pissed and
the arguments aren’t worth it. Girls are such hard work.” He
laughed.

“I could have warned you about Michelle’s melt downs. They
were legendary at school, she didn’t have them a lot, but when she
did run... She got picked on a lot and they pushed her to the point
of hitting out, but even that’s stopped since she met you, you make
her stronger for some reason?” I laughed, I’d been on the receiving
end of her temper a lot recently, but I even liked those days with
her. The making up was fun and seeing her passion when she fights
for something she cares about is nice. “Sam, Dad’s going to be
gunning for her you know that don’t you? Never leave her on her
own. Though she isn’t frightened of him, and she ran rang rings
round him the other day, when she punched his nose he nearly fell
over, she really had me fooled I thought her Dad was on his way
around, we have to look after her Sam, she doesn’t know what a
psycho he is.”

“I know, I was thinking about that the other day too, but
we’re not going back to be with him again. Mum is so happy at last,
all thanks to Michelle. Mum and her have a strange bond, have you
noticed they seem to know what each of them need and what to say,
sometimes without speaking it’s sort of spooky? If anyone else had
told her to leave Dad and gave that speech Michelle spilled, she
would have shut down, but she, I don’t know sorted it?”

“Mum loves her Sam, probably the same way she loves us, I
think everything will come good in the end it has to do, we can’t
go back to being like that again! Don’t fuck up and lose her again
Sam.” I looked at him, he still loved her, and it was there in his
eyes. I gave him a hug and for my trouble, I received a thump to
the shoulder for my show of brotherly love.

“Right Stolen from Ivor’s for some more stuff.” We headed
towards the shop. “Get what you want, you need a jacket and a coat,
a couple of jumpers, never mind let me at the rails.” I went down
the rails handing him clothes. He looked as mad as Michelle did
when the cashier rang the amount through the till.

“I think I have more than enough thank you Sam. Today has
been great, just you and me. Thanks for watching my back with Dad.
I know its cost you more than Andy and I can’t ever thank you for
that!” I was choked because he hadn’t ever said things like this to
me before. Michelle was right he was different now.

“I’d do it again Jimmy you needed looking after. Mum wanted
it that way. You can blame Mum for me falling for Michelle too. She
made me watch you for months.” He was in shock.

“You watched me? Shit please tell me Michelle doesn’t know?”
I told him she did and was fine with it now.

“She thanks you all the time for the tree thing! She did it
the other day did you not wonder why?” He looked gob
smacked.

“No I didn’t hear her properly. I thought she said thanks for
knowing me. I thought it was funny, but I thought because you were
my brother she met you! It explains the personal pervert crack in
the house that time. Cheers for the heads up. Why did you fall for
Michelle Sam? You knew I liked her, I had done from the first day
we started school together, and I’m only doing mechanics because
it’s the same building as her course, I even started the cooking
for idiots because I wanted to be near her! It explains the reason
you were so annoyed when you pulled me out of the bloody tree too?”
I smiled the million-dollar question is asked again. If I knew that
I‘d tell him?

“I don’t know! She was fun to watch and she has something
about her I don’t know, what it is? She’s infectious with her
happiness, apart from when she’s with Karen and Kelly, erg the
frizzy haired girl?” He laughs.

“Kelly Pepper, umm yeah her would be friend, she has had all
the lads Michelle liked. She’s a proper nasty bitch and she even
made a pass at me because Michelle was being nice to me in cookery
once, I got a few kisses and a try at something more err personal,
but shit she wasn’t Michelle! I was going ask her out that night
you took her from me, I was so angry Sam, but watching her and
seeing the love she had for you, she wasn’t ever meant to be mine!”
I smiled.

“I’m sorry I fell in love with your girl Jimmy, but I can’t
help it, she’s like water, I need her to stay alive and I don’t
know why apart from I die a little when she’s not with me, I can’t
say sorry enough, but I am. What else has she had done to her?” He
laughed.

“Not a lot Michelle would kill her. She just said if the lads
wanted Kelly they weren’t good enough for her, Karen has been a
bitch with her too, Karen really likes you Sam, she offered to put
out, if I brought her to the house for dinner just so she could see
you! Now that was a tempting offer and one I refused!” I
smiled.

“I’m glad you did, she isn’t nice and can’t be trusted,
Michelle well is way better than her and after the stunt you pulled
with Mum the first time she came home, I saw the hurt Karen has put
her through, and she will never take Michele’s place ever. Sorry
Jimmy I really didn’t fall for her just to piss you off. There are
a ton of Michelle’s, Kelly’s and bloody Mandy’s in her group! I
thought your crush was the blonde one, she was more your type or
actually Tasha, now she’s so funny, and Michelle loves her to
death!” He went red.

“I know I like Tasha too, she’s always with Michelle, they
are joined at the hip normally, but she’s going out with a proper
dick at the moment, and she’s like Michelle in so many ways, they
are like sisters and…”

“So you did notice Tasha then?”

“Hell yeah, I notice a lot of girls, she has a lot of
girlfriends to watch when I watch her, yeah I know why watch them
when I love Michelle? I’m keeping it real, Michelle would never
have gone out with me, but her friends may have!”

“So she isn’t your true love then?”

“In a heartbeat so don’t forget it. Have you done it with her
properly yet Sam? I know she said she wanted you last night, and
how in great detail, did you manage to do it last night or was she
out cold all night?” I laughed. No but soon, Jimmy so
soon.

“Something’s aren’t for sharing and that’s one of them.” He
blushed. I’m thinking I’m a little flushed too! I’m thinking
tonight’s the night too, because I can’t wait much longer, I need
her and her gift to be mine, I am anxious and scared and excited
all at the same time just thinking about it!

“She is nice though and I like her still, and I’m not sorry
Sam, I think I always will, I have liked her since the first year
in senior school… I have liked her a long time Sam, so don’t get
stupid if you see me watching her, my feelings for her are still
there, I also know it’s you she loves, Michael is pissed off too,
he is kicking himself for not doing anything sooner, she has got
quite the fan club, did you see the wine waiter looking at her last
night, he goes to college with her?” I had to agree she was very
likable and I wouldn’t want to lose her.

“I know you love her, and yes I’ve seen the looks my girl
gets, and she is so unsure of her beauty and charm, she’s so timid
and shy when we’re out, I have to have her near or she gets pounced
on by fellas, but she is oblivious to the fact men and boys find
her attractive, I’m one damn happy fella for a bloody reason. Just
stop with the crap you and Karen do, she had enough of Karen in
school, and she doesn’t need it in college!
