CHAPTER 8

The elevator door had barely closed when Wade decided he couldn’t control himself any longer. He’d been good during their time at the diner. Mainly because he was so happy to see her eating he didn’t want to disturb her.

There was no plate of food in front of her now. He pushed CeCe against the back wall and pressed his thigh between her legs. He smashed his mouth against hers at the same time he ground against her.

His belly was full of some damn good food and now it was time to satisfy another pressing need.

Unfortunately, CeCe’s fighting him was interfering with his plan and ruining his good time.

“What the fuck, girl? Stop shoving.” He grabbed both her hands in one of his and held them above her head.

“We’re in the elevator.”

“So?”

“Someone could come in.” Eyes wide, she whispered it as if this imaginary someone might hear her.

“It’s late and it’s Sunday. Ain’t nobody riding up and down in this hotel this time of night.” That’s what made it the perfect time to do what he had every intention of doing. He was forty. Time to cross this little item off the bucket list.

Sex in an elevator
. Check.

Sex with a hot-as-hell supermodel
. Double check.

Who’s also a billionaire
. That wasn’t on the list but he’d add it later just so he could check it off too.

To convince CeCe that she’d enjoy this as much as he would if she’d just let herself, Wade ran his free hand up the bare skin of her leg. He did love a woman in a short skirt. It made things so easy.

Slipping his fingers beneath the lacey edge of her underwear, he worked his way until he hit her wet heat.

The doors slid open, and he pulled his hand back. Breathing hard, he glanced over his shoulder and, just as he expected, all he saw was the empty hallway.

“Isn’t this your floor?” She went to move.

He kept her pinned in place blocking her way with his body. “Yup.”

“Aren’t we getting off?”

He grinned. “Hopefully we’ll both get off.”

The doors slid closed as she said, “But—”

Wade was on CeCe like a starving dog on a juicy steak, cutting off any further protest. As he worked her mouth with a hard deep kiss, he used both hands to push up her skirt.

She turned her head to break the lip lock. “Wade, we can’t.“

“Watch me.” His belt was already open and he was in the process of pulling out his cock.

He wasn’t as crazy as she thought. The elevator hadn’t moved since the doors had closed. It remained at the floor where they should have gotten off for his room and hadn’t. If anyone called for the elevator, it would most likely be from the lobby. They’d feel it move and be dressed again long before the doors opened and embarrassed them.

CeCe pursed her lips, staring at him unhappily, as if he was a child misbehaving.

Finally, she let out a breath. “Do you have a condom?”

Wade couldn’t help his smile as she gave in. “Always.”

He bent and unzipped his bag on the floor.

The condoms were right on top where he’d tossed them when he’d taken them out of the glove compartment in the truck.

He was suited up in no time, and then there wasn’t a second to waste. He didn’t get this close to his schoolboy fantasy of sex in an elevator only to have it ruined by some insomniac who wanted ice from the machine on the first floor.

Wade whipped her underwear down her legs, pulling them off her feet past her shoes. Standing, he shoved the lacey panties in his bag, considering keeping them as a memento of this occasion.

Then there was nothing standing between him and his sole goal—being inside CeCe.

Even after what should have been plenty of notice of what he was about to do, CeCe let out a squeak as he hoisted her up.

“Wrap your legs around me, beautiful.”

Bracing her against the wall, he lowered her over his length. He groaned as her heat surrounded him.

He could fuck her sweet pussy all day and all night. And if he ever said that to her, she’d act all offended. Possibly—probably—slap him.

Shocking her was too much fun. He’d consider it for later.

Right now he was too busy thrusting into her and wondering how long before they got caught.

It was the most fun he’d had since—well, since leaving the bar when he’d taken her in the parking lot.

Chili cheese fries . . . Sex in an elevator and in a pick-up truck . . . Shoving a spoiled princess like CeCe Cole so far out of her comfort zone she might never find her way back . . .

It had all proven to be quite an unexpected pleasure and he wasn’t finished yet.

He wasn’t about to risk getting interrupted by taking too long. Wade pushed himself to completion, pounding into CeCe fast and hard before he got screwed out of finishing.

The power of the blessed release when it came made him weak in the knees. Panting, he eased her feet back down to the floor. She stood with her palms and back pressed against the back wall, breathing heavily.

“Now, we can go.” He zipped his jeans quick and then spun to the panel of buttons and punched the number for his floor.

The doors swished open immediately since the elevator hadn’t moved since arriving. Though Wade wasn’t sure he’d have noticed if it had moved. He bent to grab his bag on the floor and noticed CeCe looking a bit shell shocked as she pushed her skirt back into place.

She hadn’t seen anything yet. Wait until he had her in private and in a bed. Then she’d get a real taste of what it was like to be with him.

Lovin’ in an elevator had been fun, but he owed CeCe an orgasm, or three given how incredible that experience had been. Wade always paid his debts.

CHAPTER 9

“Good morning, beautiful.”

Morning? It couldn’t possibly be morning. It felt as if she’d just fallen asleep.

CeCe groaned. “What time is it?”

“Early.” He flung one arm over her and pulled her against him.

“Then why are you awake?” She realized it was a silly question the moment she asked it.

As Wade pressed close behind her, she felt very clearly the long hard reason he was awake.

She cracked one eye open and saw the glow of sunlight filtering through the hotel room curtains. At least he’d waited until after dawn to bother her.

“You’re insatiable.”

“So you keep saying, but I don’t hear any complaints so . . .” He groaned as he ran his palm down her bare leg and then moved his hand between her thighs.

The truth was, she wasn’t complaining. It had been a long time since a man had been unable to keep his hands off her.

Even as she felt the soreness in parts of her body John had long neglected during the last years of her marriage, she knew she wouldn’t try to stop Wade. Not seriously, anyway.

After a moment of movement and rustling behind her, Wade was back, pressing his length between her legs.

CeCe shook her head on the pillow. “I can’t believe you’re not out of condoms yet.”

“Nope. Buy them in bulk.”

“Lovely. That makes me feel really special. Thanks.” CeCe scowled.

“You are special.” With one well-placed thrust, he was inside her, as if that would prove his point.

She hissed in a breath as the sheer number of times they’d had sex over the past twelve hours caught up with her.

“You okay?”

“I’m a little sore.” She heard his chuckle and her spine stiffened. “It’s not funny, Wade.”

“No, it’s not funny. But forgive me if my male pride enjoys it just a tad, okay?” He stroked into her, but more gently than before. “Maybe I can distract you.”

Wade’s idea of a distraction was a multi-front assault on CeCe’s senses. As he drew the lobe of her ear between his teeth, he found her clit with the fingers of one hand. His other hand he slid beneath her and pulling her close he cupped her breast.

One pinch of her nipple between his fingers sent a shockwave of desire shooting through her.

The warmth of his hard body behind her, being encased in his arms as he loved her slowly and gently, was a tantalizing combination. She closed her eyes and let out an open-mouthed breath tinged with a moan.

Wade echoed the sound behind her. “Better?”

“Maybe.” Her breath caught in her throat and she thrust her hips forward, seeking more as his fingers between her legs pressed harder.

“Liar.” There was the sound of a smile in his voice.

A few well-angled strokes hit a spot inside her that had her body tightening, building toward release.

“Shut up, Wade.” She needn’t have made the demand. He was too busy kissing down her neck to speak, but she felt better saying it anyway.

CeCe had to at least pretend she was in control of this situation, even as it was very obvious she wasn’t.

Not at all.

The orgasm built, slow and steady, until it reached a crescendo. Only once she was writhing beneath his touch did Wade pound himself to a loud, shaking finish.

He was still buried inside her, both of them breathless, when he said, “I could get used to waking up to this.”

So could she. As the tiny voice of reason in her head said no, CeCe said, “Then don’t go.”

It was stupid. Crazy. She’d never learn. She’d tried to get Aaron to stay with her too and that had been a disaster.

She was good and truly fucked up. John probably deserved some of the blame for that. That didn’t make her feel any better as she waited for Wade to blow her off.

“A’ight.”

“What?” She twisted in his arms to face him. “All right?”

He lifted one shoulder in a half shrug. “Sure. I can hang around town for a while. I got a few days before I have to leave for the next event. I reckon I could come up with a few ideas on how to occupy that time.” He swept her naked body with his gaze before focusing back on her face. “You going to be able to stand this place for a few more nights?”

“No.”

“No?” He lifted his brows and laughed. “Then what are you going to do?”

“Go back to my house.” There was no need to stay in this place when she had that empty mansion with a king sized bed and Egyptian cotton sheets waiting for her.

“Okay.” He dipped his head. “I understand you wanting your own bed. I suppose I can hang out here if I know you’ll be stopping by for more of this.”

Wade ran his hand up her body, leaving a trail of goose bumps behind.

He obviously had misunderstood her. “Actually, I figured you’d come with me.”

“To your place?” He lifted his brows high.

“Yes.”

He hesitated long enough she braced for him to say no. Finally, he bobbed his head. “I guess I could do that.”

“Really?”

“Uh, huh. Let me ask you something. This the house you used to live in with your husband?”

“Yes.”

“The husband who cheated on you?”

“I’ve only been married once, so yes.”

He nodded again. “Okay.”

“Why’d you ask that?”

“Revenge is a powerful motivator. I’m figuring it could make for some pretty kick ass sex.”

“Our sex hasn’t been
kick ass
already?”

“Oh, it has. Which is why it’ll be extra interesting to see where it can go from here.” He grinned wide before he delivered a slap to her ass cheek with his open palm hard enough to sting. “Get up. I’m hungry.”

She rubbed the tender flesh and frowned. “You’re always hungry.”

“For one thing or another, yup, that’s probably true. But right now, I’ve got steak and eggs on my mind.”

“Steak for breakfast?”

He raised a brow. “You know after a comment like that I’m gonna make you try it.”

“I usually just have coffee for breakfast. Sometimes melon.”

“There’s no protein in any of that. It’s no wonder you’re so pale I can practically see through you. You got no iron in your blood.”
