I wake up in Cassie’s bed.

It’s a first, for me, spending the whole night.

But the bed is empty, and Cassie’s side is cool to the touch.

Something is different. It’s strange to me. I’m in uncharted territory.

I want her to be in bed with me. I want to wrap my arms around her, hold her against me, smell her in the morning.

I want to see that realization creep slowly across her face as she remembers what we did last night. As she remembers that I took every sweet inch of her.
