Sales Representative 1988–1991

Joined Burroughs to become a member of the professional services office solution team. As Customer Support Analyst (1983–1986), activities included demonstration and installation of software and systems, as well as front line on 800 technical support. Promotion to Systems Consultant in 1986 (1986–1988) and became a member of the professional services division; focused sales division selling to legal and accounting firms. In this role, responsibilities included pre-sales technical and marketing support for software/hardware solutions as well as RFP and pricing responsibility, demonstrations, consulting and implementation planning of accounting/billing and office automation technology, as well as client installation.

Promoted to Sales Representative in 1988 and performed as Sales and Account Manager for law firms marketing Wang's full product line. Formulated strategic marketing and sales plans for law firm, corporate, and top accounting client base. In 1990, exceeded revenue goal, $1.75 million on $1 million goal, which was Top 1% of Worldwide Sales. In early 1991, Wang went through dramatic downsizing and this is when a move was made to another employer to continue career aspirations.
