Fee had something on theirs done already. Fee led

the way to his office and brought up a new window

in his web browser. It went straight to the RTFS

website.

"It's just a flat website for now," Fee said. "I

can have Donovan help with the flash later."

"Donovan?" Ash hoped his voice didn't sound

as bitter as he felt.

"Yeah. He's a web designer."

"I don't know if we should bother him with this.

I'd hate to take him away from his job," Ash

covered. He really didn't want to owe Donovan

anything. Not when the price could be Fee.

"He did this," Fee said as he moved the mouse

around the RTFS website.

"He did a good job." Ash could at least admit

that much. It looked great, was easy to navigate,

and best of all, it didn't take forever to load like a

lot of other sites.

"Once you guys get more settled, we can expand

the site, add galleries, maybe even set up online

scheduling." Fee clicked on a link, and an error

message popped up. He held down the shift button

as he clicked the reload button and got the same

error message. "That's odd."

"What?"

"It was here."

"What was where?" Ash asked.

Fee shook his head and typed a URL into the

address bar, but he got the same message. He

opened another program and did a lot of typing.

Ash had no clue what he was doing, so he just

stayed quiet and hovered behind Fee's shoulder.

"It's gone," Fee said, pushing away from the

keyboard.

"What's gone? You lost me about fifty miles

ago."

"Your website. I uploaded what I had to a test

section on the RTFS website. And now it's gone."

"That sucks. Sorry you wasted all that time."

"No big deal. I still have it on my hard drive. I

just put it out there so you could see how it looked

semi-live."

"Well, that's good," Ash said. At least Fee

wouldn't have to start over.

"Give me a minute. I'll just reload it so you can

see it."

"Will it have a problem going back up there?"

"Shouldn't. I'm guessing Donovan found it on the

volume and deleted it."

"Why would he delete it?" Ash asked, but he

thought he knew why Donovan would trash Fee's

work.

"He must have thought someone was trying to

squat in our space."

"Does that happen often?"

"I haven't seen anyone in there, but you never

know what people will do. He probably just didn't

realize I put it there."

"He wouldn't have looked at it before deleting

it?"

Fee turned his chair to look at Ash. "What are

you trying to say? He deleted it on purpose?"

"It's no secret he hates me."

"He just hasn't gotten to know you yet. Give him

time."

"Fee, face it. He wants you, and I'm in the way."

Fee pushed up from his chair and went to the

kitchen. Ash heard the fridge open and the fizz of a

pop. He waited a minute, but Fee didn't come back

to the office, so Ash went looking for him. Fee was

leaning against the counter, staring at the can in his

hand.

"What's wrong?" Ash asked.

"You don't trust me."

"What? Of course I do." Ash moved to stand in

front of Fee.

"Donovan."

Ash rolled his eyes. "
Him
I don't trust."

"That's what I'm talking about." Fee slammed the

can down on the counter and walked away.

"Wait," Ash said. He followed Fee to the living

room and collapsed on the couch next to Fee.

"Please don't shut down."

Fee sighed and turned toward Ash. "You asked

me to trust you."

"Yes."

"And I did. I do. But then I have to watch your

ex-whatever he is put his hands all over you, and I

have to trust you to not let it go anywhere."

Ash grabbed Fee's hand, desperate not to lose

their connection. "I won't. Gil is nothing to me. He

never was. You can trust me."

Fee squeezed Ash's leg. "I just wish you'd give

me the same consideration."

"I do." Ash's heart pounded hard against his

chest. He'd had relationships fall apart for less in

the past.

"You're worried about something happening

where there never was anything. Meanwhile, I'm

confronted with what has been."

"But it could be. He wants you, Fee. Bad. And

knowing that you once wanted him, I don't know. It

makes me crazy." Ash shook his head. "He seems

like such a better match for you."

"Do you think you'd be here right now if I had

any interest in Donovan?"

Ash closed his eyes and leaned back against the

couch. "I'm an idiot."

"Yeah, you are," Fee said. Ash looked over at

him, but Fee was smiling. Fee reached over and

squeezed Ash's biceps. "Donovan's not my type.

I'm into scrawny, tattoo-covered slackers."

"Who are you calling scrawny?" Ash asked. He

launched himself at Fee and wrestled him to his

back. Fee laughed and pushed against Ash, but Ash

straddled Fee's hips and managed to grab Fee's

wrists to pin them against the couch above Fee's

head.

Fee stilled under Ash and smiled up at him.

"
One
scrawny, tattoo-covered slacker."

"I'll show you slacker." Ash leaned in to kiss

Fee. Even though his cock was dying for attention,

he kept the kiss gentle. "Gil was enough before I

knew I was capable of wanting more," he said

quietly when he pulled away.

"And Donovan was there when I confused

friendship with compatibility."

"I'm here now."

"That you are," Fee answered.

Ash smiled and pulled Fee's glasses off before

he kissed Fee again. It started slow but soon

became heated. Ash could feel Fee's cock hard

against his thigh. He set Fee's glasses on the coffee

table and reached down to push Fee's T-shirt up

and over his head. Then he sat back on his heels to

look at Fee.

"You are so gorgeous," he whispered. Fee

shook his head, but Ash stilled him with a hand to

his cheek. "You
are
."

"I think you are." Fee took Ash's hand and

kissed his palm before pulling on the hem of Ash's

shirt. Ash took it off and dropped it to the floor on

top of Fee's.

Fee sat up and wrapped his arms around Ash's

waist as he kissed his chest. Ash moaned and

grabbed Fee's hair to pull his head back. His body

tingled with the desire he saw reflected in Fee's

dark, glazed eyes. He pushed Fee back onto the

cushions as he kissed Fee again. Fee sighed, and

Ash moved down to lightly bite Fee's neck as he

worked his way down Fee's chest, kissing, licking,

and nibbling every inch of skin he could reach.

Goose bumps pebbled Fee's skin and his nipples

tightened into hard buds. Ash couldn't resist

sucking one into his mouth. Fee groaned and

arched his back. Ash flicked his tongue over it, and

Fee grabbed Ash's head to hold him tight to his

chest. Ash chuckled and moved lower, dragging

his tongue along the ridges of Fee's abs.

He worked Fee's pants down as he nibbled

along Fee's hipbone until he reached Fee's groin.

"Wait," Fee said, grabbing Ash's hands to keep

him from pulling the pants down any farther. "We

can't. We shouldn't. Without …" Fee shook his

head.

Everything in him screamed at Ash to keep

going, to plunge forward, but he forced himself to

stop. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly,

making sure he let it fan over Fee's skin. Fee

shuddered and closed his eyes. He turned his face

away from Ash as Ash sat back up and pulled out

his wallet. He let the condom packets fall onto

Fee's chest, and then he tossed his wallet onto the

table. Fee gasped and pushed himself up on one

elbow.

Ash settled back down between Fee's legs. He

ran a hand over Fee's stomach, hoping that Fee

was ready for more, and that a lack of protection

was the only thing that had stopped him.

Fee picked up one of the packets and looked at

it, then back up at Ash. "Unlubricated?"

Ash winked. "They don't taste as bad." He bent

down and sucked on the skin just above Fee's

waistband. Fee grunted and squirmed, but Ash held

tight. He pulled off Fee's hip with a loud pop.

"Oops," he said with a smile before he licked the

red spot he left. He looked up into Fee's eyes. "Is

this okay?" he whispered.

Fee smiled and tossed the condom at Ash. He

hooked his thumbs into his sweatpants and started

to push them down.

Ash grabbed his wrists. "Wait. Let me," he said.

Fee nodded and moved his hands to Ash's hips.

Ash took a moment to admire him. He could admit

that most of his initial attraction to Fee was

physical, based solely on Fee's good looks and the

amazing body stretched out underneath him. But so

much had changed, Ash hardly felt like he was the

same man anymore. Somewhere along the slow

build-up, Ash did the one thing he'd been fighting

tooth and nail: he'd grown up, and the man lying

under him was a big part of who Ash was

becoming. Ash shuddered at the realization that

Fee had broken through all of his barriers and

made him care again. Fee spread his fingers along

Ash's ribs and held him as he sat up. He cupped

Ash's face in his hands and kissed Ash tenderly.

"Everything okay?"

Ash smiled. "Everything's fine." He tilted his

head back as Fee licked a line down his neck to

his collarbone. Ash never knew that spot was so

sensitive. He grabbed Fee's shoulders and dug his

fingers into Fee's arms. Fee smiled against his skin

and bit down on that spot, and Ash ground his ass

down against Fee's cock. When Fee made his way

to the other side, Ash growled and shoved him

away. Fee fell back down to the couch, and Ash

stood up to grab Fee's waistband with both hands.

He stripped Fee's pants off with one quick move.

Fee wrapped a hand around his cock and looked

at Ash under heavy eyelids. Precum leaked from

the tip of his dick, and Ash longed to drag his

tongue over it, to finally taste him. Fee pumped his

hips as he gave himself another stroke. Ash was

barely able to breathe as he watched. Fee's neck

was flushed to a deep red, his dick hard and aching

for Ash.

"Ash. Please," Fee whispered.

Ash was transfixed, frozen to the spot. He felt

like his heart was trying to burst as Fee looked up

at him. After a minute, Fee moved his hand away.

"Sorry," Fee mumbled. He avoided Ash's gaze

as he started to push himself up.

"Wait." Ash dropped to his knees and put his

hands on Fee's chest. "Wait," he repeated in a

whisper. Fee still wouldn't meet his eyes, and his

muscles were stiff as he lay back down. Ash

leaned over and cupped his neck with both hands.

He ran his thumbs along Fee's jawline, gently

turning his head so Fee had no choice but to look at

him.

"Jesus, you're so fucking beautiful," Ash

breathed before he touched his lips to Fee's. He

knelt between Fee's legs. Fee hissed and bucked

his hips as Ash's belt buckle touched his cock.

"Sorry," Ash said, opening the belt to pull it off

and drop it onto increasing pile of clothes next to

the couch. Fee worked on unbuttoning his fly, but

Ash stopped him before he could reach into his

briefs.

He dug around the cushions until he found one of

the condoms. He held it up and looked at Fee,

offering him a chance to change his mind. Ash

knew this was a big step forward, and God, how

he craved it. Needed it, even. But if it was too fast

for Fee, he'd back off and save it for another night.

Fee settled his doubts by grabbing the packet

and ripping it open. He rolled the condom onto

himself. Ash laughed in relief and knocked Fee's

hands out of the way. He wrapped his fingers

around the base of Fee's cock and rested on his

elbows.

"Mine," he growled before he sucked every bit

of Fee's dick into his mouth. The hard length

tickled the back of his throat. The latex tasted
