“What are you doing?”

“Speeding things up.” He plopped her onto the seat and jogged to the driver's side. When he slid inside and closed the door, his presence seemed to fill the cab of his workaday truck with enchanted starlight.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Where you belong. With me.”

She sighed deeply and scooted closer to him. “Good answer.”
