She kissed the tip of his cock and then gave it a long, slow lick that sent a pleasurable ache from his balls on up.

Her hand, both hands, gripped him and moved up and down with a focused rhythm.

Determined to return some of the pleasure she was giving him, he grabbed her hips and pulled her pussy down to his face. She tasted sweet and sour in turn. Her clit emerged from its hiding spot, engorged and red against the surrounding skin. He licked and sucked at it, and felt her legs tense against his head, muffling the sigh which escaped her.

“Right… there…” she gasped and her hips rocked against him, accompanied by groans of pleasure. “More… more…”

“Oh, hell,” he gasped as her lips replaced her hands on his cock. Cool, not warm as he expected, and yet not the least bit off-putting. Her tongue swirled as she withdrew partially and then back again.

“I’m… gonna cum… at this… rate,” he said just as Etina beat him to it. He felt her shudder and convulse above him, heard her muffled shriek of delight.
That must have been one hell of climax
.

Her head bobbed faster and faster, pushing him over the edge, his load pumping into her mouth. She sucked every last bit out, her throat gulping down the cum.

“That was fantastic,” he said, his head swimming with the small aftershocks.

Etina rolled off him, neck and face flushed, her breath taken in great heaves. “That was very good.”

She patted the bed. “Come closer and we can snuggle under the blankets.”

He hopped under the blankets. She was still cool to the touch. “How are you still cold?”

“I’m just a heat sponge. It’s my nature.”

“I’ll bet you put your cold feet on people for fun,” Byron said. His hand wandered over the curve of her hip and along her leg.

“Not for fun, but you men certainly do yelp at them.” She pressed back, wriggling her butt cheeks against him.

“Keep that up and you’ll awaken the beast.” He nibbled on her shoulder, taking in the oddly floral taste on her skin. “What’s the perfume you’re wearing?”

“It’s called Furu and only made in small batches. The distillers demand quite a price for it.” Her movements increased against him and his semi-rigid cock slipped between the cleft in her legs and rubbed.

“It tastes funny.” She was wet against him, a tingling, tantalizing wetness that coaxed him back to full hardness.

“Or maybe it’s just me?” Her vocal tone grew husky.

He kissed her, tasting the perfume and a bit of himself at the same time. She pulled him on top of her, spreading her legs and nudging him with a buck of her hips.

“No teasing,” Etina said, reaching down and guiding him toward her.

He pushed in, finding her slick and ready. Her breath hitched as she stretched to accommodate his cock as he buried himself fully into her.

She groaned and pressed against him, wrapping her arms around his neck, legs encircling his hips. “That’s good. Now fuck me.”

He kissed her as he pulled out and thrust forward, eliciting a squeak of surprise and encouragement. A tinge of red crept up her neck, the first indication of heat she’d shown. Again and again, he moved in and out, changing the speed. Fast. Slow. Gentle. Rough.

“Harder. I’m not a fragile little snowflake.” Etina hissed, digging her nails into his back.

His movements picked up with her encouragement to find that she rocked with each stroke, squeezing and releasing in rhythm. She groaned and growled into his shoulder, primal sounds of pleasure and lust.

Sweat trickled down his back, whisking away in the cool air. Tangles of sheet and blankets lay in heaps on the floor. She pulled him in with each contraction of muscles, gripping his cock and fighting to keep it. Byron fought against it, unwilling to give in until she came. He thrust faster and harder, more than he’d done with any other partner.

“Yes,” Etina panted. “Do it… let go… I’ve… almost… finished…”

A cool breeze caressed him, tickling the hairs on his legs and back. He pushed into her at the shock and succumbed to the pleasure they’d been building toward. His shoulders vibrated as she screamed through her own release, digging her fingers deeper into his back.

They lay locked together for a moment, basking in their mutual satisfaction.

“Now I know what mind-blowing sex is.” Byron gasped, trying to catch his breath, as he rolled off.

Etina arched her back and grinned. “I knew I picked the right one for the job.”

“You had this planned already?”

“Of course.” She kissed his chest and nuzzled close. “I never leave anything to chance.”

“When do you leave?” Byron traced a finger along Etina’s spine as they lay amid the rumpled bedsheets.

“In the morning,” she said with a heavy sigh of pleasure at his action. “It’s been a wonderful week, Byron, but I must go.”

“You can’t extend your stay?”

She rolled over. “I cannot change my schedule, there are obligations that I must obey. My family requires me to return. I can only promise to meet you again when next you return.”

“How about an email address? We can keep in contact. Maybe I can arrange leave time to visit you.”

“We don’t have that where I live. It’s not like your world here.”

He could feel the sadness in her words.
That’s a strange thing to say.
“Then how will I know when you’re here?”

“You need to trust me. In the time you call Christmas, return to this mountain and I will find you.” Etina kissed his forehead.

A tingle spread from the site of contact, racing through him and causing a flutter in his chest. “You’re as strange as you are beautiful.”

“Is that a normal compliment from you?”

“Not a normal one, but it’s true. I’ve never meet a girl like you and it’s going to be hard for other girls to compete.” He picked up the picture taken on the slopes that first day. “At least I have this.”

“I’m special, Byron. Now, make love to me.”

The morning sunlight landed on his face and brought him out of sleep. Only the impression of her body and the faint floral scent remained to prove she wasn’t a dream.
Next Christmas. I’ll be here.

Etina paced in front of the winding steps carved into the steep side of the mountain. She cast worried glances at the arch of ice and thorns at the summit. It lay silent and still, the expected flurry of snow and wind absent. A clear, full moon hung in the sky, casting beams of silver across the newly-fallen blanket of snow. Crystals sparkled and danced as the light hit to create a field of luminescence as far as the eye could see.

“Why do you fret, young sister?” Vergla whispered, her voice as sharp as a blade of ice.

“Does your lover not call to you? Perhaps he found a mortal to warm his bed?” A second voice, Glisser’s, rumbled like the thunder of an avalanche.

“He will fulfill his promise,” she said, ignoring the two figures behind her. “He’s just been delayed from reaching the mountain this time.”

“Or ever.” Both voices spoke in unison.

“I believe in him.” She held her voice steady, fighting the doubts that gnawed at her.

“Foolish child. You take hope where none exists,” Vergla said.

Glisser tittered, the sound of ice shattering upon hard stone. “Come join us. The revels begin. Forget him.”

“I will stay. I have to stay.” The promise made to Byron compelled her to wait for the gate to open or until she faded away.
Why have you not called me?

“She gave her pledge to a toy.”

Etina felt the eyes of her sisters as they bore into her back. She stood and stared at the arch, willing it to open. To prove them wrong and set her free from this realm, if only for a short time.

“You will become unmade and we shall claim what is rightfully ours.”

“You both had a chance and wasted it. You failed the test.”

Both shrank back into the shadows, hissing and grumbling under their breath. “We can wait for you to fail and join us. All it takes is a single death.”

I’m not like them. I will not fail.

Patches of ice dotted the sidewalks, reminders that winter held the city in its grip and wouldn’t be letting go anytime soon. His chin itched at the glue holding the fake beard in place and his Santa suit provided zero protection against the persistent chill, but Byron rang the bell and held the door open to let shoppers in and out of the mall. Most ignored him and the donation bucket, but a few nodded thanks, and fewer still dropped something for the homeless children.

Three days to Christmas and his prospects for long-term employment were less than stellar. Even the temp agency had thrown up its hands trying to place him in jobs. No one wanted to take in an army vet. Two tours in the middle of a desert; keeping vehicles in running shape, cleaning sand out of filters, lubricating parts, and broiling under a hundred plus temperatures meant nothing. Nor did the degree as a mechanic help. It always came back to his service and why he left.

They never wanted to hear about how he hated the heat, the fact that people wanted to kill him, and the crappy army life. Or the fact that his every transfer request was turned down due to need. Screw need. Seattle might not be his first choice in a place to live, but at least it was green and had something resembling winter. The best time of his life happened the winter before deployment. Hell, he still had dreams of the pale girl with glittering eyes like blue ice.
Etina. She must hate me now for standing her up.

Coins clinked in the bucket and scattered his thoughts.

“Thank you very much. Merry Christmas.”

The shopper rolled her eyes, hefted two totes of presents and hurried off toward the underground parking lot.
Bah and humbug to you, too.
The season of happiness, joy, and goodwill toward man had turned into snarls, rude gestures, and discontent.

At least there’s snow in the mountains. I could go skiing.
That stirred up memories again and he redoubled his effort to smile.
No sense in ruining other people’s holiday.

Clink. Clink. “Thank you very much. Merry Christmas.”

“Again, sister?” said Vergla.

“Why do you persist?” said Glisser.

“He’s moved on and forgotten you.”

“Or died.”

Etina whirled around from where she kept vigil on the quiescent arch. Two manikins of snow and ice, twisted and warped parodies of humanity, crouched just outside her reach. “Be careful how you speak, sisters. I may be the youngest, but I’m not without the means to cause you discomfort.”

The twin shadows drew back into the swirling storm raging overhead. “You wouldn’t dare.”

“Don’t press me. He will return or I shall fade away.”
Those were the rules. That was the contract between Byron and herself.
She held to her power with all her being. The vigil sapped her strength, stripping away her form and being, unraveling the thread of her life. When the last stitch vanished, so would she.

“Foolish girl,” Vergla hissed. “You bring doom with careless words. We shall not miss you.”

“Then crawl back to your hiding place.”

Glisser hovered over her shoulder. “This is your last chance. I can feel your tenuous hold slipping. When spring comes, we will feast!”

Etina’s fingers dug into her sister’s throat, fueled by the anger that surged in her being. “It will be a paltry meal.”

Peals of thunder shook the mountainside, shaking snow from the trees and shattering icicles. The clouds scuttled away to the far edges of the realm to reveal the pale winter moon. Glamour swirled around her in a stream of blue and white, flowing into the arch.

Her sister tore away from her grasp and fled into the trees with a shriek, vanishing in flurry of white. Vergla sulked back into the trees, eyes a glitter with malice and hate.

Etina ignored them, stepping toward the arch. Hope blossomed in her chest as sparks of blue luminescence raced along the carved vines, jumping across the gaps, filling the center. Faster and faster they came to merge into a single disc of energy. She took a step back as a roaring wind burst forth from the arch, then leaped through.

Wind, snow, and ice howled through the portal, as it spit her onto the deserted mountainside. Stars twinkled in a clear sky and the moon glittered off a layer of snow covering the grounds and trees.

Etina danced across the snow, twirling and laughing, her feet leaving no tracks. She was free to run and frolic and chase; clad in nothing more than a belt with a cloth pouch on her hip. Her heart fluttered and mind exploded at the myriad of possibilities before her. Not just the freedom, but the desire and want that burned from the core of her body. An urge, long overdue for satiation, screamed at her to act, that there would be time for levity later on.

Lights blazed at the bottom of the valley, as she glided toward the nearest and pressed against the wood and stone side of the building, soaking in the passion of its occupants.

The couple lay upon the bed, the woman astride her partner, hips rocking back and forth. His hands were bound to the headboard with ties of silk, lust written large on his face. Groans and yelps of desire filtered through the wall and she drank in the heady brew of emotions that accompanied them. They brought back memories of Byron and long ago that reinvigorated her and set her resolve.

Come to me, Byron. Let fate bring us together once more.
She cast out the threads of magic to the wind, hoping one would find its way to her love.

Behind her, the man on the bed arched his back, surrendering to his pent up desire and sending his partner to her climax as well. She pressed against his chest; kissing him deeply, lovingly, as she undid his bonds.

As the couple drifted off into a well-deserved slumber, Etina lifted the window with a touch of magic and slipped inside. The lovers shifted under the blankets, huddling closer together. She imagined the press of flesh and the act that had given them satisfaction just moments before. From the pouch, Etina dug out a pair of snow-globes and shook them. White flecks whirled and twirled in the suspension around the skaters inside.

She sat them on the mantle, above where the clothing had been discarded, and grinned. A touch of glamour, fueled by their passion, fluttered around and through. Bound to them now and forever, a shake and a look would bring back the memories of this time, even if all else had faded. She donned the woman’s discarded clothing, uncomfortable at the unfamiliar weight and set out into the night.
