Michelle licked her lips in anticipation. He was her new addiction.

Walking over to him as he undid his belt, she knocked his hands away.

“Put them above your head,” she ordered.

Lee did as he was told, placing his hands behind his head. The muscles in his shoulders and forearms bulged as his eyes danced with amusement. He stood there patiently as she let down his zipper and pushed his pants off. His erection waved at her, poking through the opening of his boxers like some sinful iron rod. She pushed the boxers down, wanting him free of them as well. Lee’s eyes dropped to observe her handiwork, but his hands never did.

“Step out of them,” she ordered.

He obeyed her instruction and kicked off his pants.

She brought her hand up under to grip the loose skin around his hanging scrotum. She pulled his balls and then rubbed them gently. Applying force and tenderness in continuous waves, she watched with pleasure as his lips pressed together tightly. The plan was to offer him no escape. Kissing his pecs, she went lower, running her tongue down as she did.

Michelle heard him grunt with anticipation when she faced the head of his cock and her breath warmed it. It was
Chocolat
who opened her mouth to run her tongue across the swollen mushroom head as if it were her favorite tootsie-roll pop. Lee punched up at the low hanging ceiling with such force, some of the decorative plaster came down in a white powder.

That meant he liked it. And she did, too. He tasted salty, a heady scent that was all man. Closing her eyes, she took him in. Well, not exactly. He was too much to swallow whole, but she gave it her best shot. Taking down several inches, relaxing her tongue, she let him fill her throat.

She stole a peek upward. His face was contorted with pleasure and then his head went back. He kept his arms raised and his fingers intertwined at the back of his head. The veins in his throat bulged as he turned a deep shade of red.
Chocolat
smiled at his hip thrusts and pumped her jaw, while she sucked him with unrelenting force.

“Fuck! Fuck!” he grunted, trying to restrain himself.

Chocolat
gripped his clenched buttocks, rolling her tongue over his erection buried deep in her mouth, then released it, then swallowed it again. She did this until she knew he was weakening, then she drew away, letting his cockhead bounce off her tongue before parting her lips. Rising, she found Lee sweating and breathing hard, as if he had run a marathon. She pushed him and he fell back across the bed.

Crawling up him, she straddled his lap. Seeking him out with her hand, she held him firmly by his shaft for her descent. She heard him draw in a breath and contemplated showing mercy, then changed her mind.

Up and down. Up and down, she went.

Each breech into her hot channel was better than the first.

“Harder! Give it to me,
Chocolat
,” he growled.

She did as he requested, rising and falling with such force the bed squeaked. In typical Lee fashion, when it became too much, he took control. Flipping her to her back, forcing her legs over his shoulders, he pumped his hips to deliver several inches of his meaty rod deeper into her pussy.

And then he slowed, just when she thought she would go mad from the pleasure of it all. He began to pound away at her sex, possessing her completely. And when she could stand no more, he gave her long, tender, loving strokes that made them both shiver. The sounds of wet flesh smacking against wet flesh, mixed in with pleasured moans and groans created a sweet melody throughout the room. And without warning, she exploded, an eruption that for the first time in her life had her call out a man’s name.

Shocked at her submission, her eyes flew open as he fell upon her, saying her name and some other unintelligible grunts in her ear. She held on to his broad back and arched her own, wanting it to end. Something was wrong. They were going too far—it was taking her down a different road than the one she’d originally planned to travel.

Chocolat
, babe, mmm, I think I’m in love,” he murmured, then let go. She met each thrust with her own, rolling her hips while forcing her inner muscles to clench his shaft until she’d milked him dry.

Lee’s light snore filled the room. But it wasn’t the reason for her insomnia. Lying on his chest under the sheets, she recalled why she had run from this life, and men like her father. Because deep down inside, she liked the corruption. And after the second time of sharing Lee’s bed, with a trail of lies and schemes between them, she was falling for him.
How do you fall in love with the devil, but still hold on to your soul?

Chapter Fifteen

Michelle uncurled her toes and stretched her legs under the cool sheets. She slowly arched her back, releasing the tension brought on from a night of lovemaking. Lee’s hand, twice the size of hers, strong and long-fingered, slid over her tummy then traveled to her breast. He gave the soft flesh a gentle squeeze, which made her instinctively scoot back and rub against him. Her eyes opened slowly to the feel of his semi-erect penis pressed against her ass, and the tender morning kiss to her shoulder that made her heart flutter as if a million butterflies were trapped inside.

Last night in his arms, he had spent time stroking and touching her every spot, even massaging her back until she fell asleep. It was not surprising that the morning would be filled with more of the same.

“Finally, she wakes,” he rasped.

Michelle smiled and closed her eyes, wanting to hold onto the moment longer. “You’re into watching me sleep?”

“Mmmm yes, I’m into it,” he moaned, pulling her closer, the hardness of his chest the warm barrier that comforted her. Again, he brushed his lips across the outer shell of her ear. “Or maybe I just love being inside you?”

Michelle stared ahead, confused by his response. His voice was oddly intimate, his touch too loving, unhurried. The slow caresses had her aching to feel him again. She was enjoying being in his arms—enjoying it too much.

“Lee? What time is it?”

He touched her face, turning it toward him. Michelle opened her mouth to say more but he covered her words with a morning kiss. Her eyes widened then fluttered closed at the bitter taste of his breath with hers. Lee drew back and dropped his head on her forehead. “Time is only an issue when we say it is.”

She rolled over to her back, and he made room.

Lee moistened his lips; she liked when he did this. It made her lick her own. His hooded sexy gaze roved then returned to hers. She was a bit uncomfortable under his critical stare, but only because his desire for her was intense. If she weren’t careful it could incinerate her.

Lee stared down at her, his elbow propped against his pillow, the side of his face resting in his hand.

“Why are you smiling at me like that?” she asked aloud, though it was more of her own question than his.

“You moan in your sleep. You also grind your teeth,” he told her, running his finger across the side of her face.

Michelle rolled her eyes. “I do not.”

“Sure you do. I considered giving you a reason to, but when I touched you, you seemed so peaceful, how could I?”

“Wow, you sure are full of sweet nothings in the morning.” She chuckled, knocking his hand away and turning back on her side.

Lee hated the way she dismissed his intent. He found himself unexplainably attention-starved whenever she was near. For a man that never lost focus, the attraction to her was becoming an issue. Yet, he couldn’t break away. He pulled her back to the mattress so she would have to deal with him. He drove his fingers between hers then moved their joined hands above her head. His body covered hers; she responded by parting her legs.

Damn, the simplest move tempts me

She wasn’t that cute kid with a crush, or young woman who tempted him with her innocence. The more he knew her, the more he was reminded of why Pops wanted her to be released from this life. Not only was Lee guilty of dragging her back in, but also the corruption he saw in her eyes the more she gave into his wishes.

What was he doing with her?

Michelle maintained his stare with renewed interest while pinned beneath him.
Am I seriously thinking of us beyond this?
There was no way in hell she would fall in love with idea of him as she did once before.
No way
. But there was certainly an opportunity for her to gain more than her freedom if she encouraged it.

“I want to make this last,” he spoke, his face hovering above hers. He fit nicely between her thighs.

“Last? What does that mean?” she pressed.

“We’re in Paradise. I’ll show you the island, just you and me. It’s beautiful. Why not enjoy it?”

Michelle shook her head in response. “Why don’t you say what you really want? You want it all. For me to pretend to be some love-starved sex kitten in front of those men and have me stroke your ego.”

“You don’t hate me as much as you claim, last night proved it.” Lee answered.

“How many women have held your interest, once you lost your erection? I’m not trying to be cold about this, Lee, but….”

“You
can’t
trust me, I understand.”

“Are you saying I’m wrong?”

“No. You’re not wrong to protect yourself, but you’ve got good instincts, and they’re telling you to give me a chance to prove myself. Why not listen to them?”

“Not possible,” Michelle said, trying to shift from underneath him, but he kept her hands pinned down to the mattress.

“I’m not done.”

“Of course you aren’t.” She rolled her eyes, wishing her lustful urges didn’t respond to the way he now moved. His cock eased between the folds of her labia, and he worked his pelvis to grind down on her center. The friction, the heat, was messing with her head.

“I want you to trust what you’re feeling.”

“You must think I’m stupid to even ask.”

She wrenched her wrist free of his hands and shoved at him, hard. She was grateful when he came off her instead of penetrating her body. She wasn’t sure she would deny him the privilege. The man’s sexual prowess was addictive.

“Maybe we should take some time to discuss business.” She turned from him and her voice faltered. She took in the sweet set-up on display for her by the open deck doors. The thin curtains blew in, carrying the tropical fragrance of the island. Rising off the pillow, she stared at the bright flowers of the centerpiece, impressed by the gesture. “What’s this… breakfast in bed, too?”

Lee ran his hand over her back. His fingers spread to tickle the sensitive skin along her spine. She allowed the sheet to ease down and expose more of her curves. “You did this for me?”

“You have to eat, don’t you?”

“It’s sweet. Thank you.”

“Has Lee been a good boy?”

Michelle turned over, not bothering to cover herself as the sheet slipped to her hip. “A very good boy. I’m pleased. Maybe you’re sincere about seizing the moment.”

“Tell you what, beautiful, we go at your pace. Lee can be a very patient man when he has to be.”

“About that….”

“What?”

“Referring to yourself in the third person.”

He smiled then laughed.

She hit his arm playfully. “It’s not sexy, Lee. It’s kind of narcissistic, and a little weird.”

He flipped her over and bit her shoulder. She yelped, kicking her legs.

“Lee doesn’t like being made fun of by his woman.”

Michelle ignored the comment, giggling as he tickled her. When his head lifted and she stared into his eyes, she beamed. “So this is Joker’s Wild? Do you know this thing is more myth than reality for us?”

“Us?”

“Us lowly jewel thieves that serve you masters,” she half-joked. “I mean, so much speculation goes on about
The Order
. No one knows for sure if you really are as powerful, if collectively you own this business. You want me to trust you, then tell me the real reason I’m here. Pops could never belong, certainly his daughter wouldn’t.”

“You don’t know much about your father.” Lee pulled back.

“That’s not true, he spoke of how elitist the men under The Order were.”

Lee chuckled. “The Order is a shield; it keeps men in our trade invisible. Pops was one of the original founders.”

Michelle withdrew. “Huh?”

“Enough talk of that.” Lee turned and sat on the edge of the bed then rose. Michelle caught a glimpse of his bare ass and sculpted thighs when he stretched those long limbs. She chewed on her bottom lip, not objecting when he pulled on a dark robe. She appreciated the way he loosely tied it around his slender waist, leaving the front open to tempt her. Lee left the room and returned with a matching robe. He circled the bed, stopping to part the satin material, holding it open by its sleeves. “You will learn a lot in the next few days, Michelle. Be patient, observe, wait and listen.”

Michelle threw aside the covers and emerged, turning for him. Lee draped the expensive fabric over her and she pushed her arms through, allowing the silk to caress her skin. Easing his hands around her waist, he slowly tied the belt into a single knot. “Pops made choices; I brought you here to understand them. That’s all I will say on the matter right now.”

It dawned on her. Her father could be more than the drunken derelict she imagined him to be in his final days. She was right to think this place, these men, held the answers to her father’s rise and fall from grace

His fingers combed through her tresses, and her hair lifted as he exposed her neck and shoulders. His kiss to her nape was soft and his demeanor was almost apologetic. She shivered. Lee released her hair and it dropped to her shoulders once more.

She clutched the front of the robe and felt the monogrammed appliqué on the lapel. Opening her eyes, she looked down at the gold script. They were her initials. She shook her head in wonder. He’d known she would come before she even said “yes”.

She turned in his arms, her breathing regulated by the adrenaline beating in her heart. He held her and she felt protected. “I want to know. Everything,” she said.
