Mya almost got up and punched Sugah in the face. So young and naïve, she thought. Who else was she talking to?
Idiot!
Instead she forced the biggest, most fakest smile she could and nodded yes. “I haven’t seen you before and I was just trying to be friendly. I haven’t been around that long and it can be a bit overwhelming if it’s your first time.
I was only trying to help,” Mya said holding up her hands in defeat.

Sugah nearly laughed out loud at the woman’s condescending tone.
Sugah knew the woman was the one from the other night who made
the
gesture of a gun, but she would play along if the woman wanted to pretend. She was no fool nor would she be fooled
too easily
. Sugah put on her own fake smile. Maybe the woman could help her learn more about Coffee’s mystery woman and her
relationship to Mark. There was definitely something going on with all of them
,
but what? Sugah needed answers. She hated that Espresso didn’t tell her everything, but she was happy to get all that she had.

Mya studied the woman in front of
her before answering her. She was beautiful, with a body of a Victoria’s Secret model. Her skin was flawless and her hair was worn in its natural state, flowing with deep body waves. Yes, Sugah was someone she needed on her side. She was tall, fit, with curves in all the places
that
men and some women loved. Mya was in awe. There was something radiant about Sugah, which drew her in. What was happening to her? Mya quickly averted her eyes away from the beauty in front of her. “Focus,” she told herself just above a whisper. When she was finally composed, Mya spoke again. “
You must be one of the shy ones?
Which show are you in today?”

Sugah continued to smile. She saw the look in the woman’s eyes that she had seen in most men’s she came in contact with up close and personal.
“I’m sorry. I was just trying to be sure that you were speaking to me. No, this isn’t my first show.
I have been doing this for a while now.
In fact, I am in all five collections today. Thanks for your kindness, but I will be just fine, always have been, and always will be. My name is Spice,” Sugah said extending her hand forwards the woman. “Please forgive my rudeness. It’s a bad habit that I have when meeting new faces.”

“Oh…that’s perfectly fine. I understand. You can never be too careful nowadays, right.” Mya said ignoring the words just as soon as they escaped her lips. “My name is Mya. So nice meeting you, Spice, that’s a very interesting name. Is it your birth given name?”
Mya quickly moved her hand away from Sugah’s as soon as their hands touched. The electrical shock that soared through her probably had something to do with it, as well as the uneasy feeling she got from Sugah’s piercing eyes. Sugah always looked people, especially her enemies in the eyes. The eyes told things people didn’t and revealed their true intentions, from deep within. And what Sugah was seeing, she didn’t like not one bit. Mya wanted to do her harm, but why?

“I get so sick and tired of people asking me that question. Yes, it’s my birth name. My parents are from Jamaica and the name stemmed from their food of spicy foods.” Sugah suddenly transformed into Spice. Her attitude became edgy, fearless and attention grabbing.
A few of the other women passi

g
by looked in their direction, but quickly strutted away. They didn’t want any part of the conversation between the two beautiful women, staring each other down.
It was like a war, a storm, getting ready to wipe out anyone in its path.

“Slow your role…
I was simply asking
, damn!
I could really care less. I was just being polite because these bitches
”, Mya pointed all around with her hands, “
will try to sabotage you as soon as they get a chance, to steal your spot in another show. I almost caught a case a few months ago in Paris for being
too
nice to the wrong Bitch! If you don’t want my help, cool. Let’s just co-exist and keep it moving.
I don’t have time for this shit today. Trying to help the next hoe will give you wrinkles, too soon.

Mya too could play games if that bitch wanted to engage. She wasn’t used to anyone speaking to her in the way Sugah had, but it intrigued her.
Yes, if that bitch joined up with her and Simone, they could definitely rule the world.
Suddenly Beyoncé’s song “Girls, who run the world” filled the air as a sign of confirmation. The two felines continued to stare at each other. An unspoken “bitch I dare you to jump” look generating in the atmosphere. The chill was so cold that a few of the models quivered when they walked pass them.

Before either of them could say another word, the director of the show signaled their attention. “The show begins in thirty minutes
ladies
. Please get your final looks together and get to your designated post. When the music starts, be ready, no exceptions. Come on people! Let’s get it!
We have a show to do!

He strutted off like he was competing for a spot in the show himself. Sugah and Mya laughed at his flamboyance. When they realized they were laughing at the same thing, we stopped on cue.
Sugah turned and walked behind the curtain. She
quickly
dressed into her outfit for that particular show, and wh
en she emerged from the curtain
everyone standing backstage was hypnotized by her beauty. She kept her cool, pretending not to notice all eye’s on her. Having too much attention on her
wasn’t Sugah’s cup of tea, but in that moment it did feel good to be seen. The production Manager came to escort Sugah to her post while Mya watched in the distance. “That bitch has got to go,” Mya said to herself
through clenched teeth
.

The fashion show was a great success.
Sugah
,
or to everyone that day Spice
,
was the talk of the entire event. When she stepped on the runway
everyone’s glance held her captive. The way she walked with such confidence, passion, energy and attitude, left them all wanting more of her. Many assistants made notes for their bosses, while the designers gave instructions to keep her information on file for future events. Spice was in popular demand, but one person in attendance wasn’t so impressed by the stunning beauty. He didn’t want her around. She was beginning to move in on his territory and not in a good way. She was a mystery, but the one person he craved adored her. He couldn’t have that. Even though he
hadn’t expressed his true feelings
,
Sugah
came right on in and captured the attention of them al
l, and the one person’s attention
he wanted most. Yes, she was a threat and threats never lasted long
where
he was concerned.
It was simple, s
he had to go.
He watched the way they all drooled over her. What was so special about her anyway? He didn’t see what the fuss was. She was just another bitch getting in the way
, that had to be taught a lesson,
and sooner than later.
“Soon”, he said never taking his eyes off of the stunning beauty named Sugah Payne, aka, Spice.

Chapter 22

Charlotte Payne beamed when she saw her baby strut her stuff on that runway. She cried seeing how beautiful
Sugah
was and how everyone was captured by her presence. She
couldn’t take her eyes off of her little girl. When Sugah reached the end of each show, at the end of the runway, she always looked in her direction, with a huge smile and wink, which warmed Charlotte’s heart all over. She was a proud mama indeed.

Richard watched the woman he was falling
madly
in love with admire her daughter. He too was pleased with the way Sugah’s talents for many things stunned others. He too had been one when he first met her. Now, after getting to know her mother, he knew exactly where Sugah had gotten her spice from. Charlotte Payne was spicy to say the least he concluded
,
reminiscing about what happened just before they got ready for the fashion show. His dick suddenly shifted just thinking about what he was going to do to Charlotte when
they got back to his house. Richard
was fifty-five, but he still had a few
tricks up his sleeves
to surely leave her greatly satisfied and wanting more when he was done. In Richard’s mind, the show couldn’t get over
with
quick enough. Maybe he could surprise her and stop on the side of the road for a quickie. He wondered if Charlotte was that adventurous, turning to watch her.

“What’s going on in that head of yours, Richard
Blakemore
?”

“Oh nothing, I was just thinking about all the things I’m going to do to you when we get back to the car. I hope you know just what you have unleashed.”

Charlotte leaned over, found what she wanted and gently stroked it. “Does that answer any lingering questions you might have now? There is nothing too much for me, so don’t w
orry your handsome head about that
. I am very comfortable in and with my sexuality, Richard. You
,
my dear
are the one who is in for a few tricks and treats.
I’m a very seasoned lover!

Charlotte patted Richard’s hard erection tenderly
, giving it a light rub,
and
then re
focused her attention back on Sugah, leaving Richard ready to explode. He had to concentrate really hard to keep from embarrassing himself by messing up his pants. He was glad that he had on dark clothing.

During the final show
Charlotte and Richard sit hand in hand, enjoying each other’s company. They felt like two lovebirds on a date, watching their daughter enter into a life of success. He felt as if God was giving him a second chance for love and having the child he always craved from his first marriage. Learning that he
c
ouldn’t have any children of his own was depressing. Now, Richard silently thanked God for the beginning of his new life.
He didn’t before but now he believed in second chances.
Sugah and Charlotte were turning his world upside down, and in a positive way. He knew in that moment that he would do any and everything he could to help Charlotte beat her cancer. He couldn’t live without her, he didn’t want to.
And he couldn’t bear to see Sugah lose her mother, the only person she had left in the world as family. Well, he made a vow to stand by her side no matter the outcome. Sugah was now his family, and family
always
stuck together.

After the fashion show Sugah found her mother. They embraced and cried holding each other. “Baby, you were amazing. I didn’t know you were such a great model.
I am so proud of you.
When did you start doing this? So, this is what you have been keeping such a big secret.”
Charlotte had a millions questions for her daughter, but would wait until another time. She simply held her only child in her arms and loved on her.
Sugah smiled. She wanted to share her new life with her mother, but also thought better of it. If something bad happened, she didn’t want her mother to become involved in any way, shape or form. Sugah wouldn’t allow anything to happen to her and if anyone got the bright idea of trying to harm her mother, they would pay dearly.

“Mo
m, I wasn’t keeping it a secret.
I just wanted to surprise you. I wanted you to see it with your own eyes. Did you really like the show? Did I really do well?” Sugah knew from the huge standing ovation she received at the end of each show when the designer
grabbed her by the hand to
walk
out with them
that she had indeed performed over and beyond everyone’s expectations. She remembered
looking around the building in tears, seeing my mother, Mr. Blakemore, Coffee, Espresso, Java, Mocha and Latte all standing to their feet happy for her. The only thing th
at grabbed her atten
tion was Cap. He was there but Sugah didn’t see him. Come to think of it, he wasn’t as supportive as all the others of her accomplishments, although he pretended to be in front of them. Sugah recalled on several instances the way he watched her with evil lurking in his eyes. There was definitely room for concern when it came to Cap, and his stares. Sugah made a mental note to speak to Espresso about him later. She didn’t want to cause any trouble
,
but there was just something about him whenever she was around him that gave her chills, as if he was slowly stabbing her in the back and twisting the knife just enough at the right time.
