back your fears and accepted both Sayre and me into your life.” He leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to her lips. “It means, little warrior. I call you that because you face your fears. You do not hide from them as others do. You are our little warrior.”

Tears burned her eyes as she looked between them. “I don’t deserve you. I don’t deserve either of you.”

“No,” they said in unison. “It is we who do not deserve you.”

Three Days Later, Savar

As Laynee followed her mates to
The Hallowed
Glenn
she couldn’t help but feel awed and humbled. Trees unlike any she’d ever seen before, surrounded her. Their leaves shimmered in breathtaking hues of blue and purple, fascinating her. Moonbeams shone down on the tops of the trees giving the leaves an eerie mystical glow. She wanted to reach out and grasp the delicate fronds, but knew even if the moons hadn’t reached their zenith leaving little time before the ceremony must begin, she wouldn’t risk destroying such beauty by touching them just so she could ensure they were real.

She followed behind her mates, her eyes fastened on their asses. Even beneath their black leather pants and capes, she had no trouble remembering just how firm their muscular backsides felt beneath her hands. She’d spoken with her sister on their trip to
Savar
, and even though Jaynee was mated to the
Savari
leader, she didn’t withhold answers from her as the
Savari
Council of Elders insisted. She knew that her mates were supposed to be wearing naught but ritual robes for the ceremony, but in deference to Fane and his position in
Tigerian Society
, they instead wore warrior trews and cloaks. Her wandering thoughts halted as they stepped through the wall of trees into a clearing. Her breath caught in her lungs as she spied the stones standing in a circle in the middle of the clearing. She could feel power—ancient power—encircle her, buffeting her like a warm wind. She straightened her spine, drawing on her own strength, visualizing the aura her mates had pointed out after their first mating. She wouldn’t back down. She wouldn’t give in to fear. No longer was she the wimpy girl afraid of her own shadow. Now, she knew her own strength, her own power, and was secure in both her abilities and the love of her mates. Nothing would deter her from joining with her men, not even the ancient spirits of
Savar
.
