“It’s enough that you told me what to expect, Sayre.” She smiled and lowered her eyes. “I realize you broke some sort of rule for your people by telling me what to expect. I appreciate your trust in me as well.” She licked her lips needing to ask him about what she saw last night.

“What was that energy field that surrounded us as we made love? I didn’t notice it until you returned from . . .” She let her voice trail off as heat bloomed in her cheeks. “Until you returned with the oil.”
