Everything that happened was destined. I decided that later, cuddled in Solange's arms, completely exhausted and sated. We both were, actually.
She'd released me from the straightjacket hours ago, and she acted a little guilty about it, but I told her, "I liked it, and you better make me wear it again."
"Make you?" she asked.
"Yes." I smiled. "Think you can get me into it if I fight you?"
"Yes."
"Good."
But that had been hours ago. And so, we lay together, our limbs entwined, our hearts still beating from our last round of lovemaking. "Best. Sex. Ever."
She chuckled. "It's nice not to hide who I am."
"I can't believe you bit me down there."
She chuckled again. "Complaining?"
"Oh god, no. You damned well better do it again."
I snuggled even tighter. "I'm so tired."
"Want help sleeping?"
"I won't need it, but I have so much I want to say."
"It will wait."
"Some of it." I paused. "Solange Casper, I am hopelessly in love with you."
"Sidney Welsh," she replied, "I am equally in love with you."
We held each other, and I basked in the feeling of loving and being loved.
"Yours," I said. "Completely, entirely yours."
Her arms tightened. "And I am yours, Sidney."
"You may drink from other wrists. If there is a reason to ever drink from someone else's neck, you better have a damned good reason."
"No necks but yours," she said into my ear. "Only yours."
"Good." I reached up and caressed her. "I expect you to hold me every night when I fall asleep, and I expect you back in bed with me at least an hour before I must rise every morning. What happens between those times is your choice."
"I will spend that time with you, Sidney," she said.
"Good."
I drifted after that, not quite sleeping. I was a little restless, but so tired. Finally I looked up at her. "I want happy dreams. Sexy dreams of belonging to you."
"Kinky dreams?" She asked.
And I nodded.
The dream came, unbidden. I watched Gideon at his desk. He was flipping through the drawings we had sent him. Then he looked up and stared straight at me.
"Someone has a seer," he said. "Call me." His words were measured and forceful in their quiet intensity. He held up a piece of paper with numbers on it, but I couldn't read it -- they were all a blur. "Do not make me come looking for you, Seer. We have to talk."

I sat bolt upright. "Solange!"
