“Something tells me that you’re nothing but trouble,” she said.
“Does that intrigue you?”
“Somewhat.”
“Then allow me another night here in Ocho Rios, and we can get into even more trouble, if you like.”
Their gazes locked and suddenly she didn’t care who was in the room with them, who knew what they’d done last night, or what anyone thought of her. This man seemed to make her forget all her practical sense.
“Yes.”

when she accepted Marcus’ room key that her life would never be the same again. After Ocho Rios…after she left these adventures with Marcus behind, how would she find another man to live up to her newfound expectations? Why was she even worrying about that? She had enough time to worry later.
The elevator doors opened and she stepped out onto the highest floor of the hotel. The wallpaper and décor were more extravagant and refined than the floor she’d followed him onto the night after the club.
Shortly after the wedding, she and Marcus had enjoyed several hours visiting the sights and shops of Ocho Rios. The rest of the day included sampling the ethnic dishes, conversing with the locals, and experiencing the island as a tourist. She hadn’t expected to do any of this while here alone, but with Marcus this was possible. They even had a chance to lay out on the beach for a couple hours, watching the sunset amid the palm trees.
What reservations she had about Marcus being a complete stranger was now gone, but the anticipation for what was to come tonight still had her on edge.
Tanya came to a stop in front of the suite and rapped on the door softly.
Marcus answered right away with a bright smile on his face and dressed in some casual and light attire. She came wearing the sundress he’d purchased for her at one of the shops they’d visited.
It had been just an hour since they last agreed to separate to recoup for tonight’s recap.
“Hi,” she said.
“I missed you.” He took her hand, welcoming her inside.
Her breath caught in her throat as she saw how glamorous Marcus’ new suite was. It was huge, easily the size of two hotel rooms put together. The colors were a stimulating mix of mahoganies for the furniture, muted browns for the linens and curtains, and gold for the accents and mirrors. The seating area was larger with a great sectional and plush pillows. The wet bar was wider, fully stocked. The bedroom and in-room hot tub was sectioned off by a wall for a sense of privacy. Soft soothing music escaped the speakers in the entertainment area.
Set up in the room were two massage tables complete with white crisp towels and robes ready for them. Two masseuses waited nearby with a tray of champagne.
“Why’d you switch rooms?” she asked, as she accepted champagne from a male attendant who was also in the room by the wet bar.
“It was the best room in the hotel. I thought you’d like this better for our special night,” he said.
“Excuse me, ma’am?” The male attendant asked. “May I get you anything else to make you feel comfortable?”
“No,” Tanya said. “Thank you.”
“We’ll wait outside so that you can change into the robes. We’ll come back in ten minutes.” The male attendant smiled, and both he and the masseuses left the room.
Her gaze traveled until she met intriguing brown eyes. “Marcus, you are just too much.”
“Just for you,” was his reply.

massage had all of Tanya’s muscles relaxed and feeling good, which was a big change from all the tension she showed up at his room with. Dipping in the hot tub filled scented with a pina colada aroma relieved her of even more tension.
The water shifted beside her and she opened her eyes and lifted her head to see Marcus refilling their champagne glasses.
“This wasn’t really supposed to be a vacation for me, but it sure feels like one,” he said, handing her the glass.
She accepted it, taking a sip. “I didn’t expect to have such a good time.”
“Glad I came and that I met you,” he said. “I’d turned the invite down when it first was mailed to me, because I had so much going on with work and life that I didn’t think I could commit to a destination wedding. It’s funny how things panned out. Trent had an extra plane ticket because he broke up with his girl, so I thought the short break from work after the quick move would be good for me.”
“So the empty seat by Trent belonged to his ex, huh?” she asked.
“Yeah, pretty much.”
Trent’s situation was similar to her’s, but she didn’t think to ask anyone to come with her in Justin’s absence.
“Well, I’m glad you decided to come,” she said, looking at him shyly under her lashes.
Marcus caught her gaze, but instead of having the daring smile that was probably his signature, his expression was serious. He observed her carefully almost as though he was deep in thought about something, but preferred not to speak on it.
A little water sloshed over the sides again as he leaned in to kiss her. His big, smooth palms stroked the back of her neck, deepening the kiss with insistent and demanding caresses.
Her body was warm enough, fully engulfed up to the neck in the water, but his hands roving across her back increased her temperature tenfold.
He tore away from her lips only to dip lower to tease the column of her neck with his mouth. She lifted her chin earnestly, giving him better access. A small moan escaped her lips as he began his trek lower, gliding his mouth across the tops of her breasts.
“Mmmm,” he murmured. “I could stay here with you forever and never want for anything more.”
“You sure about that?”
He grabbed her by the waist and lifted her legs on either side of him so that she straddled his lap. Her center immediately made contact with his erection. Flesh to flesh was definitely not possible with his swim trunks and her bikini bottoms, but that didn’t keep him from grinding her pussy against his dick.
“Does this feel sure?” he asked.
“Oh, Marcus,” she said, arching her back and tilting her head to the ceiling. “That feels so good.”
Somewhere in between their movements, he grew larger and his steel rod ended up on the outside of his trunks. He was thick against her center as she rubbed into him despite the spandex fabric separating them. When she finally came, her cries echoed across the room rising above the soft music lingering from the front of the suite.
“I love when you do that,” he whispered, nipping at the tops of her breasts. He pulled on the string at her back and the top fell into the water between them. No time was wasted as he dipped his head low to suckle her.
She was still sensitive from her recent orgasm and each pull of his lips had her body shivering against his touch. He tugged gently, closing in on her nipple and circling the tip of his tongue against the areolas. He reached between them at the same time, sliding his hands down into her bottoms.
Tanya rocked against his palm, pushing her aching center at his hand and thrusting in tune to the quick tempo of his fingers.
He brought her to the edge and then stopped abruptly. Before she could protest, he led her to stand until her mid-section was in line with his face. He kissed her navel and the butterflies within her stomach scattered.
She held tight onto his shoulders as he teased her skin with lips, tongue, and fingers.
“You are so beautiful. I want to remember every detail about you. Your scent, taste, and the way your skin feels.” He kissed her mound. “I want you to remember this night even after you get on the flight back home. I want you to remember what I’m capable of doing to this body. More importantly, I want you to remember because this game doesn’t end here in Ocho Rios.”
Marcus used his teeth to untie each side of her bikini bottom, pulling it off completely until she was fully exposed to him.
Her breath hitched when his mouth came in contact with her pussy. He parted her nether lips with his tongue finding the little bud that was bursting with need. He lapped at her, holding her hips firm between his grasp. Only when she began to lose her foothold in the water, did he lift her up to sit on the edge of the hot tub. Even then, he devoured her pussy like a man deprived. Her orgasm came hard and fast, jolting through her like an eruption.
It took them only seconds to make it from the tub to the bed. He set her down on it and she knelt in front of him, taking his erection in her palm. She took her time examining him. He wasn’t the only one who wanted to remember every detail vividly. From the way he stood at strict attention ready to please and plunder to the way his crown swelled in excitement when she touched him.
Tanya licked her lips just before taking him with her mouth. He tasted of spice and man, and her lips glided up and down him with ease. She went slowly, adjusting the size of him, nearly gagging when he reached far enough in the back of her throat.
He groaned as she released him, taking a moment to play with the silky head using her tongue to dip in and out of the small slit. She sucked and pumped him until his balls grew taut against her fists on the down stroke.
When they finally fell on the bed in each other’s arms, she was wet and ready for him. He gave her the condom, she rolled it down on him, and then guided his rod to her needy center where he hit home.
This time the sex was slow and endearing. They kept close throughout, never leaving each other’s embrace. She could literally feel his heart beating against her breasts as he took her over and over again. They didn’t speak as before for their tongues were occupied dancing together, reveling in the taste of both of them combined.
Before Ocho Rios, she had not thought it was possible to have more than one orgasm during a round of sex. Marcus proved that theory wrong, as she tumbled into what was her third climax for the night. He wasn’t too far behind, joining her just as she was on her way down from her state of euphoria.
This wasn’t normal at all. It wasn’t normal to want a man so much that you’d risk all that was ordinary to be with him.
“My flight leaves in six hours.” Tanya said as Marcus put her bags in the back of the cab.
She still couldn’t believe that they were parting ways. All of her wanted to stay here forever with this man, just as he’d revealed to her last night. But that wasn’t possible. It was time to go back to her normal, ordinary life.
More than likely, Marcus would do the same. He probably had a load of biker friends back home that he preferred hanging out with instead of a bookworm, high-end jewelry saleswoman like her. Guys like him just didn’t stick around with boring women like her.
Marcus kissed her on the forehead, just as the cab driver came up to assist them. “Share a taxi to the airport?” He gestured to a single suitcase on the sidewalk of the hotel beside her.
Before leaving his hotel last night, they’d agreed that she’d call him when she was on the way to catch her flight. They’d both checked out of their hotels after the call and met each other in the courtyard.
“Sure.” She shrugged. “What time is your flight?”
A corner of his lips quirked up in a grin. “Yesterday at eight p.m.”
Her mouth fell open in shock. “You missed your flight? Why?”
He cleared his throat, eyes shifting back and forth from her to the cab driver. “We were…umm—”
“Never mind, don’t even say it,” she said. “I can’t believe you did that. How will you get home?”
He piled his luggage on top of hers, and the driver closed the trunk. “Don’t worry. There are a couple flights that leave out to Atlanta this evening. I’ll make sure you get on your flight safely and then I’m going to register as a standby. Maybe they’ll even have an extra seat on your plane for me.”
The driver helped them inside the backseat, and she couldn’t help but notice that she felt better than she had when she’d arrived. Only a few days ago, she was one confused and angry woman. Now she felt elated and new possibilities galore spun around in her head. But did she dare embark on them?
When they were minutes into the drive towards the airport, Marcus took her hand, leaned in, and whispered, “You are definitely worth the risk.”
She smiled all the way to the airport.
A
combination
of fatigue and sore muscles had Tanya hitting the snooze button more times than she planned to. The thing that finally got her up was the sound of her ringing cell phone which sat where she left it last night—on the coffee table in her living room. Whoever was calling surely was relentless.
She grumbled as it rang a third time, threw the covers off, and hurried out to answer it. One look at the LCD screen and she huffed. Zaira. Of course…her best friend just couldn’t wait to get the details of Vanessa’s wedding.
“Hello, Zaira,” she said into the receiver.
“
Spill it.
I heard by word of mouth that it was the wedding of the century!”
“It was,” Tanya said, groggily into the speaker.
“It doesn’t sound that way to you. What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” She walked back to her bedroom and to the small closet by the window. Thank God she’d had most of her work attire dry cleaned before flying to Ocho Rios or she’d have nothing to wear. “I just got back last night. Feels like a hangover. I’m late for work too.”
“You?” Zaira exclaimed. “Late for work? That’s unheard of!”
“Yeah…sleeping became an option in Ocho Rios,” she said, thumbing through the hangers.
“Oh, yeah? Any major shopping?”
“Shopping…and other things.”
“Other things?”
Tanya could see Zaira now on the other end, eyes wide in curiosity. Maybe she should have kept her lips zipped. But how could she have had the best sex of her life and not tell anyone, not even her best friend? They shared everything. Good and bad news. When she needed a shoulder to bear her frustration on after Justin left, Zaira had been there night after night.
“Tell me. Tell me.
Tell me
,” Zaira urged after a moment of silence. “Does it involve a man? Sex on a Jamaican beach? A romp beside the sea with an island boy?” She giggled.
Tanya couldn’t contain her laughter. “Close.”
“Oh my God! You met someone, didn’t you?”
“Kind of,” she teased, and leaned against the closet frame. “But the wedding…you were asking—”
“F the wedding. I need details about this man. Now.”
Tanya sighed into the phone reminiscing on the way Marcus had kissed her so intimately in a busy airport amid dozens of people just before sending her off through security after finding out he’d have to wait behind an hour for the next flight from Jamaica to Atlanta. She touched her fingers to her lips. “It was nothing at all.” She plucked a black A-line skirt and red sleeveless blouse from the closet and laid it out on the bed.
“Come on. Did you meet him at the wedding?”
“Kind of. He was a guest
at
the wedding.”
“Hhmmm? Name please.”
“Marcus.” Even as Tanya said his name, it felt like she was saying it for the first time despite the many times it rolled off her tongue during their two nights together.
“The Marcus?” Zaira screamed. “Oh. My. Goodness.”
Tanya’s heart thumped. “Wait a minute! You know him?”
“Veronica was going over the guest list just last week when I was doing their business taxes. He was on there. I had no idea that Leroy went to school with him until she told me.”
Tanya sat down on the bed, a lump suddenly forming in her throat. She hoped to goodness that she hadn’t slept with the same man as Zaira. “How do you know him? Please don’t tell me you’ve fucked him.”
Zaira burst out laughing. “No! I wish. If you’re talking about who I think…”
“I doubt it. I hope not.”
“Okay. What else do you know of him? The Marcus I’m talking about is the new CEO of Svelte. My father just hired him about a month ago. That’s why I was surprised to see him on the guest list. Apparently he has ties to Atlanta.”
Tanya gasped. “Hold on a moment.” She jumped up again, and raced to her purse. She dumped the contents out in search of the business card he’d given her right after the kiss at the airport. More concerned with how good his lips had tasted, she’d tucked it down into her purse and hadn’t even taken a look at it. Her heart raced frantically, as the cream colored card with raised black lettering came into view on the coffee table. She turned it over, and she literally felt the blood rush up to her face. Her heart began to thump wildly.
Marcus Brooks. CEO. Svelte Technologies.
“Tanya? You still there?” Zaira’s voice was faint on the other end. “You can call me back at lunch if you need to.”
“Yeah,” she mumbled, her fingers trembled as she held the card.
“You’re usually at the coffee shop in the mall by now. I had no idea you were still in bed,” Zaira said. “Call me at lunch, okay?”
“Yeah.”
Once the call disconnected, Tanya swallowed hard. Reality had literally hit her in the gut.
Marcus Brooks was just the type of man she’d vowed never to date again courtesy of her ex. Men with money, fortune, and power who thought they could just run all over women and discard them as they saw fit when the next opportunity came along.
Marcus’ career status wasn’t the only thing that had her head reeling in shock.
Her ex, Justin, had just resigned from his position in the accounting department of Svelte Technologies a little over eight months ago to become a stock broker in New York.
She’d fucked the CEO of the company where her ex used to work.
She didn’t know why this had her feeling sick to the stomach. Maybe the feeling would pass, but one thing was certain…
There was no way that she would have her heart run through again by a man who only cared about climbing the corporate ladder.
A
couple days
passed and Marcus Brooks had already left two voicemails on her cell phone. One was to inquire about whether she made it back home safely, and the other was to express his concerns about why she hadn’t called him as promised.
Tanya went about her day working at the high-end Meridian Goldsmiths jewelry store in the mall, physically but not mentally present. She had an exam tomorrow for her psychology class that she hadn’t even studied for. Every time she picked up the book, her fling with Marcus and the shock of who he was had diverted her attention.
Was his bad boy demeanor all a front? He’d said he belonged to some motorcycle club. How could he be the CEO of a multimillion dollar company, yet exude such a rebellious nature. Who was he exactly?
Tanya rocked the cell phone back and forth in her palm. She contemplated what she would say to Marcus before she keyed in his personal cell number from the back of the business card with shaky fingers.
She owed him at least a call. Just to reiterate that all she’d really wanted was the sex.
He answered on the third ring. “Tanya?”
“How did you know it was me?”
“I have caller ID. I missed your voice. How’ve you been, beautiful?”
“I got your message. And yes, I’ve made it back safely. I wasn’t feeling up to par over the last couple days which is why I didn’t call.”
“What’s wrong?” He sounded concerned.
She swallowed. “I…ah…just the stress of the job and going to school. And other things.”
“Right. You did tell me that you were working on your graduate degree. There are many ways to relieve stress…”
“Look, Marcus.” She decided to cut to the chase before he got any ideas. Or before she gave into his charm and took him up on anymore offers. He was off limits because of who he was…and she was not about to give into his smooth-talking ass again because she couldn’t control herself. “I kind of wish we hadn’t done that thing back in Ocho Rios.”
There was a long pause on the other end. “That thing?”
“Yes. We fucked. Or do you not even remember? I was acting in desperation, I admit. My recent breakup with my ex and the stress of finding a real job hit me all at once. I needed relief.”
“And you know that I was more than willing and happy to give you relief, but fucking was not all we did.”
“Yes, but it was what we agreed on doing with each other.”
“Excuse me for a moment, Tanya,” he said softly, and then there was a muffled voice on the other end of Marcus’s line. A soft, sweet voice that could not have belonged to a man. “Schedule it for two p.m.” The woman spoke again, but Tanya couldn’t make out the words.
“I—” Marcus began.
“Look, if you’re busy, I’ll let you go.” It was obvious he had plenty of other women to entertain him.
“No, I’ve been waiting days for you to call me,” he said. “I was just finishing up a conference and walking back to my office when you called.”
“I’m sorry to bother you at work,” she said.
After all, he was the CEO of one of the most prestigious companies in the U.S., top 25 places to work in Atlanta, and known for beating out their competition on many projects. Mr. Wright, Zaira’s father, had been a well-known investor before he founded Svelte Technologies. In addition to owning the company, he also sat on the board as President.
It was a small world, and there was no way that Tanya would risk everyone discovering that she’d slept with two men already at that company.
“We might have agreed to have sex, but as I told you before, I want to do so much more with you.”
She swallowed. “It won’t happen.”
He chuckled nervously. “Did I do something?”
“I’m not interested in anything serious right now. Let’s just leave it at that.”
“Okay, okay. I get it. We’ll do whatever you want. If you just want sex from me, I’ll be that guy. I just want to see you again. I think that if we get to know each other more, you’d understand that I’m not just—”
Heat rose to her neck in aggravation. “Is that all you think about? Really?”
“Um…I’m a little confused here. You just told me you wanted sex and nothing serious.”
Tanya exhaled deeply. “That’s not what I meant.”
There wasn’t really much she could say. If she told him the real reason she never wanted to see him again, he’d know who she was right away. That her ex once worked under Mr. Wright, his current boss.
“Thank you for an awesome time in Ocho Rios. It was all that I called to say.”
“Tanya…”
“I have to go.” She disconnected the call before he could even convince her to change her mind.
