“Sean, Derek I’d like to formally introduce you to one of my very good friends,” Susan said in a sweet voice as she pulled me next to her. I was frozen. My eyes immediately made contact with the floor in embarrassment of Susan’s brash approach.

I could feel his eyes on me. They burned a hole through me and I could not face him but I knew I had to. I wasn’t a shy woman, I didn’t get all hot and bothered over a fine looking man, and I wasn’t going to start with him. I mustered whatever courage was in me and raised my eyes to meet his. He was indeed looking at me, a smile on his face, like he was congratulating me for overcoming my shyness.

“Nice to finally meet you Mia,” said Sean, breaking through the silence. He hugged me in greeting, pushing the air from my lungs. Sean was a pretty built guy, the one you could tell hit the gym more than he needed to.

“Nice to meet you too!” I said as nicely as I could, considering I was struggling for air.

“Jeez Sean you’re going to break her,” I heard Susan say from the side of me. He released me and chuckled goofily. He was a sweet guy I bet, probably wouldn’t hurt a fly, well on purpose anyway. I felt bad knowing that he probably wouldn’t be around in a few months.

“It is nice to see you again, Mia.”

The smooth voice brought my attention back to Derek, who had extended his hand to me. I stared into those hazel eyes trying to remind my own brain that I was a college-educated woman and that I knew how to use words and form sentences.

“You too, Derek,” I said with a smile as I accepted the hand. He brought my hand to his lips and kissed it gently. Shamelessly, my insides fluttered at the intimate contact.

Susan Rose’s voice broke through the cloud I was on. She said, “Sean we have a ton more guests that we need to greet. Derek, you wouldn’t mind taking care of my sweet Mia would you?”

I turned to look at her, pleading with my eyes that I was not ready to be left alone with him. Susan’s light brown eyes gave me a look of encouragement. She then dragged her fiancé away to continue greeting guests.

I looked up at Derek; my hand still in his gentle grip, my mind was in a haze and I wasn’t sure if it was because of his presence or the alcohol in my system.  With no effort, he suddenly tugged on my hand causing me to slightly fall into his chest. His hand just as quickly released mine and snaked around my waist holding me close. I gasped in surprise at the sudden closeness of our bodies. Was this really happening?

“Do you want to get out of here?” he said into my ear, I could feel the mischievous smile on his lips. Despite the loud, bumping music I could make his voice out clearly. I pulled away just enough to look him in the eye. Part of me was against the idea of going off with him so suddenly; in reality I didn’t know anything about this man. However, a big part of me wasn’t thinking with my brain. I smiled at him then, matching his mischievous smile.

“Ok, let’s get out of here.”

My hand was in his once again as he led our escape from the main party. My eyes went to his broad shoulders and traveled down his strong back. This felt strangely right, being with him like this, and that is what made this encounter dangerous.

When we finally came to stop, we were in front a large decorated, mahogany door. He wrapped his hand around the door knob and opened the door revealing a fully furnished office with an open doorway to a balcony. He led me into the room, closing the door behind us, and released my hand. He walked over to a small table which held empty glasses and brandy in a fancy looking decanter.

As he poured the drink into the two glasses, I inspected the office. We were alone. That thought was frightening and thrilling.

I settled myself on a dark red sofa and watched Derek’s tall frame walk over to me with drinks in hand. He extended one to me with a smile before sitting beside me and taking a sip from his glass. I stared into my glass. In my reflection I saw my uncertainty.

Where was this going?

*****

His voice broke through my thoughts. “I am happy you came. I wasn’t sure if you were going to show up.”

I stood up, drink in hand and began to pace.

“Am I making you nervous?” he said from behind me. I heard him take another sip of his drink before placing it down on the table with a gentle thud.

“No, of course not.” I said with a nervous laugh as I placed the drink down on the large desk and turned around to face him. I leaned back against the large desk and stared out to the night scene to my right. The questions that occupied my mind the past three days didn’t find their way passed my lips.

Derek slowly stood up and walked towards me, his shoes tapping the polished wooden floor lightly. His hand slowly wrapped my chin and turned it till our eyes met.

“Mia, are you nervous?” His deep, smooth voice slowly and deliberately released each word. I gulped trying to relieve the dryness in my throat. He was causing all sorts of mixed feelings in me and I felt idiotic for not consistently being the confident woman I usually am. I nodded slowly as his question.

“You don’t need to be, you know me,” Derek said in a low voice as his face began to come closer to mine. I knew him? What an odd thing to say. I didn’t know him; I didn’t know anything about him other than that he could buy half the city probably. As I went to question the comment, he gripped my waist and pulled me into him. I placed my hands on his strong chest and looked up at him with questioning eyes. His eyes stared back at me, asking for permission for what he wanted to do. My body was against his and it aroused a sensation deep within me that traveled up to my stomach. I decided, or rather another part of me decided, that this was what I wanted.

In a burst of confidence, I grabbed his face with my hands pulling him to my level as I planted my lips on his. He pulled back, slight shock on his face which he quickly overcame as he returned a kiss on my lips. With each moment the kiss became deeper and more passionate, I wrapped my arms around his neck as his hands gripped my waist pressing himself into me. A bulge pressed against my lower stomach causing me to let out a groan. I was equally aroused by how good he tasted.

I pulled away giving us both a moment to breath and possibly regain our sanity.

“Derek I—” I began as I fixed my dress that was hiked up from the contact.

“Don’t think about it, this is what you want,” he said, cutting me off as he leaned in for another kiss. I didn’t fight him because he was right, this is what I wanted.

“Here?” I asked breathlessly as everything in my body screamed to mount this man.

“Yes. Here,” he commanded. He reached down and gripping my rear lifted me from my feet. I pressed my lips on his again as he carried me to the couch and lowered me onto to it. His lips were on my neck, licking and nipping at the sensitive skin. I moaned as his hand busily roamed my clothed body and began to lift my dress to thigh level. His hand disappeared underneath my dress and I felt fingers press against the barrier of my panties. His thumb found its way to my covered clit and began slowly rubbing. I gripped his shoulders and moans began to flow from my lips in response to teasing tactics. Squirming underneath him, I whined for him to get on with it. Instead, his finger slipped past my panties and circled my wet opening.

“Derek…” I moaned his name as my hips rocked in attempt to stop the teasing. He granted my wish and inserted a finger into me that dragged in and out. Meanwhile his thumb resumed its strokes on my clit. My head fell back as a tension built inside me that I knew all too well.

“Not yet,” he said. Derek’s voice cut through my clouded thoughts as he halted his tortuously slow foreplay. He rose himself up and looked down at my flushed body. He smiled, clearly pleased with himself as I furrowed my eyebrows at him for interrupting my orgasm. His hands went to my panties and pulled them off from my body. Meanwhile, my fingers went to his dress shirt and worked at the buttons until I was able to pull the shirt off of his toned body. I bit my lip in anticipation as he began unbuckling and unzipping his pants.  Derek leaned in and began to kiss me once again. His tongue played with mine as he grinded his bulge against my bare flesh.

“Derek, no more teasing!” I whispered, pulling away from the passionate kiss. He returned my plea with a grin.

“Someone is impatient,” he joked as he gripped my legs and spread them for his access. I felt him shift around as his hand went to take his penis out of his pants. My eyes widened as I got glimpse of the rather large and hard appendage. To be honest it was bigger than what I was used to. Derek kissed me just then, melting away any worry I harbored.

I felt the head of his member slide up and down my wetness before beginning to push through my tightness. My toes curled as I felt him fully bury himself inside of me. He began to rock his hips guiding his dick in and out of my slick opening and hitting a spot that had me begging him not to stop. His lips went to my breasts and he began to circle his tongue on my sensitive nipple.

Derek suddenly pulled out of me and before I could protest, flipped me over and grabbed my hips to raise them to his liking. He thrust his dick into my pussy from behind, causing me to tighten around him. He leaned over my body, his lips by my ear as he began to nibble on my lobe, groaning my name. With his free hand, he made contact with my clit rubbing it feverishly. Between what his dick was doing and the attention to my clit, I felt as if I was losing my mind.

With each thrust, he brought me closer and closer to orgasm. His nails dug into my waist and his teeth sunk into my shoulder blades as his thrusts began to feel both pleasurable and painful. His breath grew shallower and I got even closer to the edge.

“Derek, I’m—” I started. I felt that I was going to explode any minute.

“I know,” he grunted as he turned my face towards him and pressed his lips against mine hard. It wasn’t a moment later that Derek delivered to me an orgasm that had my body shaking uncontrollably, and had me panting and gasping like an animal.

Once I regained my vision and mind, he slowly pulled out of me and turned me over placing my limp body on his damp chest.

“Wow,” I said trying to get some air into my lungs. “That was… that was definitely what I wanted.”

Derek chuckled before placing a kiss on my forehead.

“Glad you enjoyed it.”

We lay there together on the sofa, recovering. I was feeling very relaxed and conversational, a far cry from earlier in the evening.

“Whose office is this by the way?” I asked, looking up at him.

“A very good question,” he said sleepily as his fingers lazily stroked my arm.

“You’re not serious, we just…did that in some random person’s office? How’d you even know to come here?” I asked genuinely curious.

“I noticed it was open earlier when Sean was showing me around,” Derek replied, shameless.

“I didn’t realize you were such a bad boy,” I sighed while being soothed by the sound of his strong heartbeat.

We lay in comfortable silence for a minute or two.

“Derek, may I ask you a question?” I said. I wanted to bring up the question that bothered me; maybe it wasn’t the best pillow talk topic but I needed to ask him before this got too deep.

“Yes Mia.”

I rose myself up so I would be able to look at him face to face. Derek placed his hand on the small of back and began to massage that spot.

“Do you remember when we met at that bar right?” I began, already nervous of bringing this up to him face to face.

“Yes of course,” he said.

“You said something weird as I was leaving.”

“What is it Mia?” he asked as his eyes looked to mine.

“You said my name.”

There was a pause before he spoke. “Well Mia, that’s what people do, call each other by their names,” he said with a laugh.

“Yes, but I never told you my name that night. I had never met you before that night but you somehow knew who I was,” I blurted out, annoyed by his joke.

He was quiet then and avoided my gaze, still not answering my question.

“Derek,” I said as I grabbed his chin and forced him to look at me.

“I’ll tell you, but not now,” he said.

He suddenly sat up and began to fetch his clothes.

“Bullshit,” I said.

I stood up and halted his attempt to grab his things and flee.

“I want to know
now
Derek.”

I began to feel the anger rise within me. What plausible reason would he have for hiding the fact that he knew me before even meeting me?

“What was it?” I said. “Were you just bored and needed someone to occupy your time? Did you do research on me? What the hell is it?” I began yelling, unable to tame my heightened emotions.

“Mia calm down,” he said calmly, as he took back his clothes and began to dress himself.

“You’re seriously telling me to calm down?” I said angrily.

“Yes, I’ll explain everything to you but just not here. Why are you not understanding that?”

I was over the lame excuse. I looked at him, tears of frustration burning the corner of my eyes. I didn’t understand why he needed to be so secretive. It scared me that this man was suddenly in my life and that he knew me but I didn’t know who he was.
