I smiled and took one slowly placing it on my tongue and savoring the texture and spices. I got a hint of rosemary and cardamom with a blast of roasted garlic and smeared in butter. It was delicious. I realized my eyes had closed enjoying the taste. He was watching me intently and I saw nothing but desire in those blue depths.

If he could have eaten me at that moment I have no doubt he would have. I reached for my wine glass and sipped enjoying the pairing with the residual taste in my mouth.

Our table was fairly small and I could feel his legs brush against mine. Then, suddenly I felt his hand slide up my knee. I sucked in a breath; it shocked me. My back became rigid and my thighs tensed at his touch. He rubbed circles on my skin just above my knee.

I picked up my wine and tried to take a sip but my hands were shaking. I glanced around and noticed no one hardly registered we were here. Slowly he inched up the inner part of my thigh and every ounce of blood I had in my body flowed right to one spot between my legs.

Just as he got within an inch of my folds our waiter appeared like magic nearly sending me off my chair. Cailen never left my eyes and his hand stayed locked on my thigh. He smiled wickedly as he briefly trailed his eyes to the waiter and articulated in perfect French our order. He turned back to me.

“I hope you don’t mind me ordering, beautiful. I think I know what you like…” He said as he made his way all the way up and then growled. “…So I am just going to show you.”

His finger teases my clit and when he realized how wet I was, his eyes darkened. My breathing became ragged and I was trying not to make a sound but he was slowly making me crazy. He slid his fingers inside going deeper and my eyes closed briefly as pure pleasure shot through my body.

He hungrily glided in and out of me applying the perfect pressure to my clit and with each stroke I felt a spasm in my body. My legs trembled begging him to go deeper. He responded and I felt myself coming apart. I grabbed the sides of my chair to try and keep myself still. He knew just when I was about to come because he ground deeper and I just let the pleasure rip through me as my head barely tilted back, my eyes closed and the most genuine smile I’ve ever had spread across my face.

I slowly bent my head back down and opened my eyes. He was staring at me with almost black eyes. He still caressed me and tiny tremors shook my body.

He licked his lips as he offered, “Fuck. That was the sexiest thing I’ve ever fucking seen, Gemma.”

He closed his eyes and caressed me once more then pulled his hand slowly down my leg and brought it onto the table. He picked up an escargot with the same fingers and licked them after he placed it on his tongue. It was the most erotic thing I’d ever seen.

He smiled. “You taste better than food.” He slid his chair back and leaned into my ear. “Excuse me, Gemma but I need to hit the men’s room and…” He coughed slightly, “…take care of things. You did it to me again, love.” Then he placed a kiss to my cheek and disappeared around the corner.

I was speechless.

What the fuck was it with restaurants and us? Some of the best orgasms of my life have happened in these places. I took a moment to glance around and notice again, we had garnered no attention. How is that possible? My world just basically tipped on its axis with unadulterated ecstasy and not one person was the wiser.

I just shook my head and picked up my wine. I couldn’t have been more contented if I were getting a rub down at a world-class spa. He wreaked havoc on my body. A few minutes later he rounded the corner and like a wolf catching its mate’s scent my head turned automatically and watched as he strolled through the tables with one hand dipped in his slacks pocket and the other rubbing his lips.

I knew that hand, too. It had just properly serviced me—that made me burn between my legs, again.

He dipped to kiss my cheek as he slid his tall frame into his chair. He lounged back crossing his legs and propping his arms on the arm rests, folding his fingers under his chin.

“We need to go out and eat more often, gorgeous.” His smile was utterly ridiculous, which made me snort.

I took another sip of wine and wiped my mouth with my napkin. “You should see me in a department store.”

He laughed out loud. “I have a credit account at Goodman’s around the corner, the dressing rooms are sprawling.”

That had another round of giggles escaping my lips. He had the ability to erase the anxiety from my mind and replace it with happiness.

There was one thing I knew for sure; when this ended it was going to crush my soul.

CHAPTER 5:
I WILL

I woke up the next morning still smiling. I looked over and Cailen was
entangled in the sheets lying on his stomach with his perfect round ass exposed. His hair was all sorts of fucked up but damn it worked for me.

I traced a finger between his shoulder blades and down his spine landing on the arch of his back. I watched the goose-bumps form in my wake and that simple reaction did all kinds of warm things in my body.

He rolled over and already had a devilish grin playing on his lips.

“Well, are you trying to elude you might be ready for round…” He rolled his eyes over the ceiling pinching his chin in thought, “…what is it, number ten?”

I winked. “I’m not sure you’re up for it. I faintly recall you rushing the last one, perhaps I am over working you?” I teased.

He laughed louder than I’d ever heard and pulled me on top of him.

“If you only knew, love. I have a feeling you will have a permanent bow in your walk when I am through with you.” Then he showed me how ready he was and I just couldn’t believe one person had this much fortune.

Once we are showered and dressed he pulled me from the room and led me out of the hotel into an awaiting car. Once inside he lilted an address in an incredibly sexy tone and I hummed internally.

We rode for several blocks and stopped in front of a beautiful ancient building. He grinned and linked our fingers to pull me onto the street. He walked to the giant wooden door that was painted a vibrant red and gripped the enormous iron handle and rapped three times.

We waited for several minutes and then I heard the lock click and the giant red door swung inward. A tall hunk of a man framed the doorway. His jet-black hair was slicked back and he had a five o’clock shadow covering his face. His nose was perfectly angular and his jaw was strong. I made it up to his eyes and they sparkled almost violet. He smiled wide when he saw Cailen and leaned in to give him a big hug patting his back several times.

“Holy shit! When did you get into town, Cai? Damn, I’ve missed the hell out of you brother.”

Cailen’s broad smile made me melt a little, I admit.

“Yesterday. We flew in from NYC.” He pulled me close to his side. “This is Emberly Landon. Em, this is Alick
Geadais.”

Alick tilted his head and studied me for just a moment before a blinding smile came across his face and he offered his hand.

“Well, it’s damn nice to meet you, Emberly.” He threw a smile to Cailen as he added; “I’ve never seen him with a real woman before. Glad to know he had it in him.” He laughed loud and stepped aside. “Please come in.”

Cailen pulled me through the door and stopped just inside the entrance waiting on Alick to close the massive door. We then followed him through a brick hallway into a beautiful room of nothing but windows and paintings where ever you looked.

It had to be at least twenty feet high and roughly the size of a school gymnasium. The walls were exposed brick and huge canvases were hung in groups. The artwork was stunning—very modern and abstract. The main colors tying them all together were red and black. My eyes just rolled over the giant room in awe.

Cailen was staring at my face as I took it all in. He tugged on my arm and I turned to face him.

“Alick is a master artist.” His eyes scanned the canvases as he continued, “My house is covered in his work—I love it.” He mused.

I was nodding my head. “It’s truly stunning.” I said glancing at Alick. “You are extremely talented, Alick. Your use of color to depict mood and action is incredible.”

The two men exchanged glances. “I minored in art at NYU.” I chuckled.

They both raised eyebrows at the same time and nodded in understanding. “Well, thank you very much. Art is all I’ve ever known. I was arrested more than once as a kid spreading it across buildings downtown.” He and Cailen exchanged looks and laughed.

I smiled because he was already rubbing off on me. I liked him. He has an ease about him that makes you gravitate toward him. The lines around his eyes were the product of a happy person that is always smiling.

He gestured toward an entrance at the end of the room. “Can I get you something to drink?”

I smiled. “Glenlivet if you have it, please.”

A shit eating grim formed on his lips. “My kind of lady.” He said elbowing Cailen in the ribs.

Cailen still hadn’t taken his eyes off me and was a bit smug when I glanced in his direction. We walked toward the kitchen and I allowed my eyes to soak up the rest of the paintings as we passed.

The kitchen was incredible—fit for a chef. The huge subzero fridge dominated the center with large mahogany cabinets and several wall ovens with two large gas stoves.

He walked to the corner where a wet bar stood and pulled out a decanter and three glasses. I watched the amber liquid flow into the glass before he handed two over and raised his in salute. I raised mine and smiled then winked at Cailen as I sipped. The familiar warm burn traveled down my throat and soaked my stomach. I sighed in pleasure and leaned against the counter enjoying the moment.

Alick claimed my gaze and asked, “So, Emberly what brings you to Scotland? Don’t tell me you followed this joker over the pond.” Hi voice was almost musical.

I thought about it for a moment not knowing exactly how to respond to that. It seemed that our real motivation was a bit too close to my heart personally to share. But then, he is a huge part of Cailen’s life and he’d spent a good part of his life in that very same house.

I looked down at my feet gathering my words. “It’s a bit complicated, actually.” I looked up into those violet eyes. “It seems that we all have something in common. I was actually born in your farmhouse and lived there for the first ten years of my life.”

His reaction was shocked. His eyes widened and he looked at Cailen.

“Are you serious brother? Wow, that is absolutely amazing.” He looked back at me and his eyes were dancing with questions.

I chuckled. “We met at a bar a little over a month ago and so it began.” I playfully nudged Cailen as I continued, “He’s quite the fucking stalker, you know?”

Cailen barked a laugh and shook his head in agreement.

“Fucking right, love. There was no way I was letting you get away.”

I smiled and turned back to Alick. “Anyway fate sort of intervened so to speak and we found ourselves thrown together on a photo shoot for my work. When he invited me back to, I’m assuming your house in Anchorage, I saw the painting and we discovered our ties.” Saying all this aloud made me realize what a true miracle our connection was.

Alick was openly watching me hanging on every word so I continued. “He was kind enough to offer a surprise trip and this is where we ended up. We visited the house yesterday and well, it was bittersweet, I guess.” My voice trailed off and Cailen wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close.

Alick smiled. “I don’t mean to pry, Emberly.”

I shook my head. “No really, it’s ok.” I half shrieked a giggle. “Oddly I don’t feel panicked one bit talking about this with you.” I glanced at Cailen. “I’ve always been a very private person but something about you two makes me feel like I’m sitting on my therapist sofa bearing my soul.”
