Chapter Twenty-Five

The familiar chords of “Pomp and Circumstance” seemed odd in comparison to the surroundings. Yes, this was a graduation of sorts, but it was certainly nothing formal. Mandi looked around at her sexual cohorts. Clad in shimmering silver and gold capes, it was probably the most the lot of them had worn for three months. It had been a journey, filled with ups and downs, and a little bit of kidnapping thrown in for excitement’s sake. And to think that she had originally thought that act was part of the learning process. Now that she was done with her studies at SFSU, Mandi wasn’t quite sure what to do with herself.

Isn’t that ironic? She had found herself and somehow lost her way at the same time. She shook her head in dismay, trying to clear out those thoughts.

As the music continued to play, the staff and trainers of San Francisco Sex University strutted out onto the ceremony stage. Ah, there was Reed in those tight black pants, looking just as yummy as he did when she’d first seen him. Almost three months, yet it felt so long ago. As soon as he turned to face the audience, she saw him glance over the graduating class, searching through the faces until he landed on her, and then he smiled.

Instantly, she felt settled. Reed had captured her heart, and she had a pretty good feeling that he felt the same way.

Now that Reed had found his sister and fully solved the sex ring case, he didn’t really need to stay at SFSU any longer. He’d been weighing his options. All the newspapers loved a good sex story. His cover was blown all over the local media, nationally and even internationally, so it would be hard to quickly pick up another undercover position. The university had asked him to stay on, and he was seriously contemplating it, especially since he had some surprising news for Mandi, too.

A sea of beautiful bodies, and Reed didn’t need a second look to pick Mandi’s shapely figure out of the lot. It was like a psychic connection. Love did that to a person. Love, Reed thought again. Not attraction. The question now was: Would he be willing to share her?

While the school had asked him to stay on full time, they also had a position for her. Perhaps it would work: both of them sex ed. teachers.

He couldn’t wait to see her walk across that stage and pick up her certificate. Afterward, he’d let her know what potentially lay in their future.

Amanda took her seat next to Claire. Her friend reached out and clasped her hand. In the row behind her, she saw Sam and Johnny sitting next to each other, also holding hands. In the audience sat Reed’s sister Willow and, Amanda was surprised to see, Officer Marge. Perhaps the officer’s curiosity about the school had gotten the best of her.

Ms. Lucy took the main podium and welcomed the graduating class.

Sam leaned forward and whispered between her and Claire. “Something look different about the headmistress to you?” he asked.

“She looks like she’s been tamed to me,” Claire said, her wicked smile all too apparent.

Sam gave her a quizzical look and settled back into his seat.

Amanda zoned out on what Ms. Lucy was saying, something about being sexually prepared for what their futures held. Instead, she focused on Reed, who held her gaze. Soon enough, they were all asked to stand and line up at the edge of the stage.

When Amanda’s name was called, she lifted the hem of her graduation robe, feeling a slight breeze tickle her naked privates. She planned on getting Reed alone soon after the ceremony, and surprising him with her choice of undergarments, or lack thereof.

She took her certificate from Ms. Lucy, shook the hand of both Blaine and Wayne, and then sauntered offstage. She may not know where she was going next, but she certainly knew who she would be with.

THE END
