"Shit imma come too and check out her friend real fast. Hell is she a neighbor too?

Y'all got some type of commune going on over at ParkCrest View? I may need to move!" Jevon said taking another sip of his drink.

" I don't know who her friend is." Tyson said making his way down the steps and over to the bar. The bartender had just given Jazzlyn her drink and she turned around just in time to see Tyson approaching her. Damn she thought as she broke into a smile, here his fine ass is. " Hey Tyson, how are you?" Jazzlyn asked.

" I'm good" Tyson said and leaned down to give her a hug " I see we both needed to get out the house tonight huh?” Tyson said not able to take his eyes off of her.

" Ahem!" Trevonne said breaking the stare between Jazzlyn and Tyson.

" Oh I'm sorry!" Jazzlyn said " Tyson this is my best friend Trevonne,Trevonne, Tyson my neighbor."

" Nice to meet you Trevonne. This is my friend Jevon. Jevon met Jazzlyn" Tyson said said smiling at her. "I saw you when you came in." Tyson said " You look nice school teacher." Tyson said.

" Oh you didn't think they made teachers like this did you?" Jazzlyn said laughing as she slowly turned around ful circle for him." You're looking good yourself,I've only seen you suited up or coming from the gym. Tyson was dressed casual in jeans and a button down . As always he looked like he'd just come from the barber shop. "Do you come here a lot?" Jazzlyn asked.

" I do sometimes. It depends on my mood, this is my hanging with the fel as spot."

Tyson said.

Both Jazzlyn and Trevonne were so caught up talking with Tyson and Jevon neither of them noticed Darien approaching them.

" Wassup Jazzlyn, how you been?" Darien asked interrupting her conversation.

Jazzlyn leaned around Tyson to see who it was.

"Oh hey Darien." Jazzlyn said and went back to her conversation.

" Jazz can I talk to you for a few minutes?" Darien asked.

" About what Darien? You didn't leave anything at my house that I've come across."

Jazzlyn said annoyance creeping into her voice. The past three months Jazzlyn had successful y managed to avoid running into Darien but it certainly wasn't from a lack of trying on his part. Darien had come by her place several times uninvited yet never made it past the front door thanks to the resolve of steel Jazzlyn put up concerning Darien.

That didn't stop the constant phone calls professing his love for her and promises that he would change. Darien cal ed al times of day and night and when she thought he'd given up and stopped cal ing for a few days,he'd start back up. Leaving voice mails and al . Maybe I should just talk to him and get this completely over with once and for all? "

Tyson, where are you and Jevon sitting? I'm going to talk to him for a few minutes. Then I want to see what your working with on the dance floor" Jazzlyn said laughing.

" We're upstairs on the balcony" Tyson said” Come find me when you're done.” Tyson said and looked at Darien.

"Hello Darien! You act like you can't speak !”Trevonne said observing the entire situation and getting angrier by the minute.

" Hey Trevonne." Darien said barely looking her way.

" You ready?" Jazzlyn said" Let's make this fast OK."Jazzlyn said.

" Where are you two going?" Trevonne asked

" Outside real fast to talk I'l be right back." Jazzlyn said.

Jazzlyn walked out of Club Zooms with Darien right on her heels. Once they were outside Jazzlyn got straight to the point ." Look Darien,I'm going to really need you to stop calling my phone OK?" Jazzlyn said.

" Damn Jazz! This is the first time I've seen you in three months and that's al you have to say to me? I love you...you wanted to end our relationship behind some bags of groceries?Just because I didn't jump when you wanted me to." Darien said.

" You see Darien? This is just why I knew it had to end, you know damn well I ended it for more than that. If that was all I had to deal with ,I would have gladly brought the groceries in, al day everyday. That's how much I loved your ass. You took me for granted when you had me. Darien I deserve way better than that. I used to want you to realize that. It's cool though because all that matters is that I know it now. So please stop acting like you've been sitting around sad, waiting for me to come back the last three months. I know you better than that .Your dick aint hardly stayed in your pants waiting on me to come back Darien." Jazzlyn said rolling her eyes.

Darien smiled thinking to himself, if she's worried about who I'm fucking her ass aint over me yet!

" So you care about who I'm messing with Jazz? You worried about who I'm fuckin?

You know I don't love anyone but you." Darien said cockily.

"Darien please. This has nothing to do with me wanting you. I'm good." Jazzlyn said looking him up and down, shaking her head wondering what in the world she'd ever seen in him, especially the last year. Darien was no more than a child,an over grown man-child who had no job, no aspirations, nothing.

" Oh you over me now because you're all up in that white mans face huh? I saw the way he was fucking looking at you Jazz! That mutha fucka probably don't do shit but run around trying to fuck every black woman he sees." Darien said voice growing louder" Is he why you can't never take my calls? You all on some white mans dick now?" Darien demanded.

" Hold the fuck up Darien...first off who he is ,is none of your damn business! I'm a single woman and free to do whatever the hell I want. So tend to whomever you're dealing and don't worry about me OK? This conversation is over. I should have known better than to come out here thinking we could put a final end to this like adults." Jazzlyn said turning to walk back into the club. Darien grabbed her arm roughly." Have you lost your damn mind Darien! Get your damn hands off me!" Jazzlyn yelled attempting to release her arm.

" You stil didn't answer my goddamn question...don't make me go in there and fuck that white boy up." Darien said looking like he had every intention of following through on his threat.

Lies and Deceit

Tyson had already bought Trevonne another drink shortly after Jazzlyn went outside to speak with Darien who Trevonne loudly informed him and anyone in ear range was Jazzlyns ex-boyfriend. Tyson and Jevon took a seat at the bar and watched her take shot after shot and could visibly see her start to get sloppier and sloppier by the minute.

" You OK with these drinks ?" Tyson asked, hell he didn't mind keeping an eye on Jazzlyns friend for a hot minute but there was nothing worse to him than a sloppy ass drunk woman and he damn sure wasn't in the mood to baby sit a grown ass woman he didn't even know.

" Yea I'm good! You fine for a white boy you know that? Do you date sistas? I can already tell you do....I'm getting ready to get on your team real fast because I can't stand these trifling ass niggas out here. Always wanting their cake and eating it too!

Never damn satisfied when they have a woman that loves them...they don't even care."

Trevonne said tears springing to her eyes.

Jevon and Tyson looked at each other and Jevon quickly stated " These
your
people!"

he said laughing.

" The hel she is shit, I just met her ass tonight just like your ass did. Her ass is out there though aint she? It's hard to believe that's her best friend?" Tyson said.

" I just don't get why he thinks she's so much better than me?She doesn't even love him! Not like I do" Trevonne said still sobbing and starting to fall off her chair.

" You OK?" Tyson asked " Come let me walk you to the bathroom so you can get yourself together. You seem cool but you sound like you going off the deep end over here come on." Tyson took Trevonnes arm and helped her stand up, as he guided her through the crowd,Trevonne continued to babble and cry the entire way to the bathroom.

" I mean am I ugly? I fucking love his ass and all he can think about is Jazzlyns ass. I mean if she really ever loved him she wouldn't have just broken up with him like that right?"Trevonne asked Tyson

" What are you talking about? You mean Jazzlyns ex-boyfriend? You're in love with him?" Tyson asked.

" Yes! I've always been in love with him. Before I even introduced them to each other I'm the one who was in love with him!" Trevonne said crying.

" I know she's my best friend but it's time for us to be together now and he comes in here and all he wants to do is talk to her?"Trevonne said her voice rising with every word.

Two older looking women walked past them as Trevonne was spilling her guts and stopped mid stride " I don't even know this bitch but she need her ass beat on G.P. for that shady ass mess!

" I know that's right girl "her friend said as they gave each other a high five and kept walking down the hall.

" How you doing with your fine ass?" the taller of the two women said to Tyson.

" Girl you aint never lied! I'd give that white boy some ass in a New York minute!" they continued laughing " Girl let's get back to our table before some of these young ho's try to get our spot! Hell I had my eye on a young thang!"

Trevonne stood there stil crying. Barely able to stand and wiping her eyes," So you mean to tell me you've been sleeping with Jazzlyns boyfriend?"Tyson asked.

" He's not her's anymore!"Trevonne said stomping her foot like a child.

" Didn't you just say you been messing with old boy for the last ten months? So you were messing with your best friends man." Tyson said " Look do what you do. I'm just walking your ass to the bathroom so you aint sitting next to me fal ing off the stool pissy ass drunk. So you're here now. There's the bathroom door." Tyson said throwing her the peace sign and walking back down the corridor.

What in the hel have I walked into tonight he thought to himself. Tyson spotted Jevon on the dance floor with a big girl who was backing it up on him something terrible! Tyson just shook his head.

Jazzlyn was just walking back into the club looking for Trevonne when she spotted spotted Tyson." Hey Tyson have you seen Trevonne?" Tyson turned around and could clearly see she was upset.

" What's wrong?" Tyson asked concerned.

" Nothing,I'm fine. Just glad I moved on when I did."

"Didn't I tel you don't let me see you al up in here under this white boy?" Darien said "

We aint done speaking yet!

" Hold the fuck up" Tyson said " Man I don't know you period. You damn sure don't know me. So take whatever bullshit you got going on away from me and her too evidently." Tyson said to Darien as they stared each other down.

" Come on let's go." Jazzlyn said trying to pul Tyson away who al of a sudden felt like a brick wall as she tried to push him in the other direction.

"Nah
that
mutha fucka right there better get the fuck on,cuz what this white boy gonna give him he
really
don't want none of ." Tyson said laughing.

" Please Tyson just come on, we are way too grown for this type of mess. If he wants to act childish he can do it all on his own. Because I know for a fact you and I have better things to do." Jazzlyn said looking at Darien, as she pul ed him away.

"Jazzlyn let me talk to you for a minute."Tyson said pul ing Jazzlyn into a corner " He wasn't out there trying to put his hands on you or anything like that was he?"

" He grabbed my arm, that's when I ended the conversation and came back in .I really need to find Trevonne. I'm ready to leave and I rode with her." Jazzlyn said.

" You know what Jazzlyn, I know we're just getting to know each other, but on the real, I'm really not the kind of man that likes to play a bunch of games and beating around the bush. I want to know you better. Can you do me a favor and just ride home with me?

" Tyson I can't just leave her. Trevonne is my best friend,we came together we leave together." Jazzlyn said.

" OK I understand that. I do.”Tyson said “I just want to get to know you. Can we get to know each other better, none of this just neighbor stuff OK?" Tyson asked.

"I understand Tyson. I'm not going to lie,I've thought about you too,so let's talk later OK? Let me find her so I can get home. Check for me in a little bit I'll be home soon.”Jazzlyn said.

Jazzlyn looked around the lower level of Zooms for Trevonne but didn't see her anywhere. Let me go up to the balcony she thought to herself as she climbed the steps.

As she approached the stair landing she heard a voice she knew was Dariens.

“ Who the fuck is this white boy she all up in the club with? Is that her man? That's who she's fuckin now? You better tell me something Trevonne because I believe you've known about this shit al along!” Darien said.

Who the hel is he talking to...when al of a sudden Jazzlyn heard Trevonne speak.

“ I don't know anything about him! All I know is that's one of her neighbors. Why the hell are you worried about it any damn way?” Trevonne shouted. All of a sudden sobering up and at her breaking point and tired of being ignored for Jazzlyn. “ Jazzlyn broke up with your ass move on Darien! Even before she broke up with you we'd been having sex for ten months now! Ten months Darien! When are you going to realize I'm the one who loves you? I'm the one who's been here with you through everything. If you were so in love with Jazzlyn you wouldn't have been been messing with me!" Trevonne said.” I'm going to just come clean and tel her what's going on with us.” Trevonne threatened.

“ You aint telling Jazzlyn a goddamn thing bitch! Do some dumb shit like that if your ass want to and see what the hell happens. You. Got Me. Fucked. Up!” Darien said looking at Trevonne like she'd lost her damn mind. Which he basical y thought anyway.

“If we just come out with it now Darien we can be together without al the lies Darien, move on just the two of us. I don't think she's even interested in you anymore Darien. Why can't you just let her go,she has. You should do the same.” Trevonne pleaded with Darien.

Jazzlyn stood motionless. Barely able to breath hearing the truth about what had been going on right under her nose for the last ten months. Ten months?
